25/03/2026: A great find for lunch. Cosy, fiendly, and really good food at a reasonable price. We had a great dandelion salad (Salade de Pisenlit) with bacon and a fried egg on top of it. Delicious lunch!

06/03/2026: One star only, because it's impossible to give zero: the telephone reception was DISASTROUS from the very first second. Of course, everyone has their bad moods sometimes, but if this gentleman wants to vent his frustrations, he should avoid answering the phone. We obviously didn't go back, given the rudeness on the phone. And I will NEVER set foot in that restaurant again.

28/02/2026: Returning from our walk to the gravel waterfalls and Mainqueyon, we stopped for lunch. A pleasant, sunny terrace. A simple, affordable, but tasty set menu. €11 for a main course and dessert (€14 with a starter). Admittedly, it's not haute cuisine, but it was good, especially considering the price. Even the drinks weren't too expensive. I haven't seen syrup for €1.80 in ages! And as a bonus, the service was quick, especially with the set menu.

13/03/2026: As part of the restaurant's festive events, the menu item at Kastelberg was described as: "Celery ravioli with mushroom duxelles, finely shredded smoked eel in a vibrant ginger broth." The dish I received contained only two slices of celery sandwiched between other vegetables. When I asked where the shredded eel was, I was bluntly told that it was cooked in the broth. In that case, the more accurate description would be "eel-infused broth," not "shredded eel in broth." The description clearly implies the presence of fish on the plate. No compensation or alternative was offered, leaving a distinct impression of false advertising and a misleading description of the final product. It's a shame, because the main course was decent, and the average dessert resembled a piece of mass-produced fruit mousse cake. Edible, but nothing special; I didn't detect the promised cardamom flavor. Overall, I was disappointed by this restaurant for the first time.

16/10/2025: Wonderful, beautifully situated hotel. We stayed for 4 nights in mid' September. As with all great hotels, the staff make the difference. We had some issues with our car on arrival, Phillipe at reception was super helpful, providing immediate and ongoing help to sort out the situation during our stay. Great that we were met in the hotel car park on arrival and our bags taken to the room. All staff were friendly and courteous and all restaurant recommendations for dining in Villeneuve-les Avignon were excellent.

06/04/2026: I stayed at the Kyriad Direct in Montpellier, Saint Jean de Védas. I found it a bit too far from Montpellier; it takes a good 20 to 30 minutes to get there, depending on rush hour. There's a lot of traffic at the roundabout. The road is quite poor and full of potholes. The hotel is located next to a Première Classe. The reception area serves both hotels, Kyriad and Première Classe. The parking is fairly decent. The welcome was friendly but surprising. Once there, we were told we needed a €100 deposit. I think it's a bit much not to warn people in advance and take them by surprise. Once in the room, it was okay; there was some coffee and a kettle. It was clean and smelled nice. The bedding was adequate. However, the air conditioning wasn't working properly. I had to call the hotel twice to get my deposit back. And I don't like chasing people around. They're supposed to release it on the day of departure. I had to call the next day, and again two days later I had to call again, and this time my deposit was released. Overall, it's a hotel for emergencies, but it won't be the most pleasant stay.

23/03/2026: The only positive point was the reception staff, who were very friendly. Otherwise, avoid at all costs!!! Not even for one night to break up a long journey. The room was outdated, with noises from furniture and the constant coming and going of other guests, who were shouting... No respect whatsoever. I wasn't reassured by that flimsy lock. The mattress was uncomfortable; I could feel the springs and the pillows were made of wood! There was a strong smell of bleach in the rooms, and they weren't even clean! There was toilet paper stuck to the floor of the toilet... I was cold despite the heating. In short, never again. I didn't sleep a wink. Very depressing.

05/03/2026: A very pleasant, uncluttered restaurant with plenty of space, making it easy to feel comfortable. The staff are friendly, courteous, and very professional. The food is fresh, seasonal, and delicious. I highly recommend it if you're in the area; it's also budget-friendly, with a very good quality set menu for €24.
