23/09/2024: An address not to be missed, spacious room, warm welcome and the must-have cuisine worthy of a Michelin star

15/09/2024: Schon etwas versteckt liegt das Restaurant Hotel, erreichbar über eine kurvenreiche Landstraße. Vorher schon reserviert, wurden wir freundlich empfangen und uns der Platz zugeteilt. Das Restaurant war bis zum letzten Platz belegt. Wir bestellten das Menu à 3 plats. Die Menükarte habe ich hier hochgeladen. Menüfolge, Speisenqualität und vor allem der Service- perfekt, immer freundlich und bei Fragen hilfsbereit. Der Service war hervorragend (ich muss es einfach wiederholen) und das bei voller Auslastung. Wir kommen gerne wieder, klare Empfehlung.

31/08/2024: Good welcome, a friendly and smiling team. Good woody atmosphere inside. The beef tartare is very good, nice meat, the carbs are well made and the piece of beef is very tender. A good mousse 🍺 "Dominicans" on tap, you don't find it easily, it's a good choice. In short, come on board, sailors, you will not be disappointed

10/08/2024: Excellent meal, the dish of the day consisting of a salmon casserole was very good. Sitting on a shaded terrace, we particularly appreciated the kindness and welcome of the waiters! Many thanks again.

08/09/2024: Repas du midi à deux, le cadre et le local sont un peu en-dessous de ce que devrait proposer un restaurant qui se veut dans cette tranche de prix (85€ à deux, menu entrée/plat/dessert sans alcool) La cuisine : excellente et qualitative, 90% des produits viennent des environs et c'est très bien. Les plats sont beaux et bons (dos de cabillaud et tempura de legumes, cheesecake de legumes et crevetes et fondant au chocolat), les desserts sont d'ailleurs massifs. Bref on y mange très bien ! Le service : beaucoup d'incompréhensions avce le serveur quand nous l'avons questionné sur les plats mais très gentil et souriant. Attention, ça a traîné un peu en longueur pour prendre notre commande et servir les premiers plats L'ambiance : dommage que ce soit ce local que vous ayez pour votre cuisine, il est petit et c'était assez bruyant le jour de notre repas. S'il vous plaît, enlevez la table à l'entrée ce n'est pas du tout agréable d'être dans le passage des va-et-vient Restaurant de qualité qui gagnerait à être dans un endroit un peu plus grand ou qui devrait refaire le plan de table et la salle car il y a matière à en faire une très belle adresse !

12/08/2024: The owner (who we disturbed enjoying a brief break between the end of his prep and the start of service) managed to accomodate us at no notice, and we are so glad that he did! The food was simply amazing (we had the pig's trotters/ scallops to start and both opted for the truffled chicken, as part of the brilliant value fixed-price menu (which also included a cheese course and desert, as well as an amuse bouche). This was the final meal of our holiday, having eaten at various places in France, Germany, Italy and Switzerland and it was by far the best. The waiting staff were helpful and just-the-right-amount of attentive. As a small chef-owned place, the quality and care shine through. We'll be back the next time we are in Metz, don't miss the chance if you're planning to be there!

16/09/2024: We were a group of 4 adults and 3 children aged 5 to 9 years old. The welcome was very warm, the cuisine tasty (special mention to Tripoux for fans). We particularly appreciated the kindness of the team who allowed 3 children full of energy to spend a pleasant evening without disturbing the other guests.

15/09/2024: Ras, Boris and Elodie welcome us with a smile 🙂, cozy and warm atmosphere, the dishes are generous and I can't even talk about the servers who are attentive, a little extra for Sadi who takes us to Paris (Champs Elysé or Eiffel Tower ) and thank you 🙏 for the last little extra at the end of the meal

14/09/2024: What a gem of a restaurant! Exciting flavoursome dishes cooked to perfection. Portion sizes were perfect to enable 3 courses to be enjoyed comfortably. The service was friendly and knowledgeable. Didn't feel rushed so plenty of time to soak in the wonderful setting. We will definitely be back!

03/09/2024: We had dinner at Le Bistro Volney last Sunday, it was very busy, the food was excellent and there was plenty of wine to choose from. The Maitre d has very good English and could explain the menue. I was feeling very hot during the meal and they were able to move us to a table by the entrance. If you go on a Sunday I'd recommend booking in advance.

04/09/2024: A great discovery for those who want to get off the beaten track in old Mans. The restaurant is very warm and very welcoming for a dinner with family or friends. I loved the tuna tataki and chose the cheese plate which had a nice assortment. After my only downside, it is the cost of the drinks (like everywhere unfortunately), but with good quality.

14/09/2024: What an exceptional evening. Absolutely adorable and attentive staff, superb food and charming cozy and elegant atmosphere. Located in my favorite place in all of Paris, Ile Saint Louis. Very highly recommended.

30/08/2024: A very pleasant evening. The six-course menu with wine pairings was exceptional, with each dish perfectly balanced and the wine selections enhancing every course. The service was outstanding, with attentive staff who spoke very good English. Superb dining experience, very relaxed and enjoyable. Highly recommended!

31/08/2024: If I could give 6 stars, I would! We discovered this little restaurant by chance. We had a great evening. Very varied and original tapas: razor clams flambéed with whisky, excellent pan con tomate, eggplant to die for, cockles, excellent homemade croquettes… A word of advice, don’t leave without tasting the desserts: the Catalan cream espuma is so good, the same goes for the cheesecake. Rum tasting is a very good proposition at the end of the meal!! We will come back!!

31/08/2024: Great family restaurant. The tapas are varied and of very good quality. Bravo for the chef's suggestions, a delight. The servers are pleasant and efficient. A place where you feel good to have a good time. The prices are very reasonable and a good idea for tasting rum with its history… Superb address 👍
