18/04/2026: Landed in Paris this morning and in desperate need of sustenance. Found La Cidrerie du Marais where we enjoyed coffee, crepes, and a sweet cider to die for. The staff were very patient with our lack of French language skills. Highly recommended.

23/06/2025: This restaurant perfectly combines the pleasures of taste and sight. From the dishes to the decor, it's a feast for the eyes and the palate. A true gem. Moreover, the owner's welcome is warm and it's a pleasure to chat with such friendly people. And to top it all off, when it's time to leave, the "pain" has never been so aptly named, as the bill is surprisingly light.

20/03/2026: A highly recommended spot on Boulevard Grosso! This little restaurant in a less touristy area is definitely worth the trip. It's a favorite among locals and workers. Enjoy delicious food made with fresh, locally sourced ingredients, a truly creative daily menu, a pleasant atmosphere, and top-notch service. The chef and owner adds his Italian touch to his creations, while his wife expertly and efficiently enhances the presentation of each dish. As an added bonus, the prices are very reasonable, offering exceptional value for money, a rare find in Nice. However, be sure to make a reservation, as this place is very popular! ☺️

08/02/2026: We spent a week on the French Riviera. We were looking to discover the specialties of French cuisine and came to the right place. The service, atmosphere, and above all, the taste of the food were simply excellent. Delicious fish, beef, pasta, and desserts. We couldn't have chosen a better place. The restaurant is beautifully laid out: upon entering, you're greeted by a magnificent wine cellar, and you can even be seated with a view of the kitchens, adding to the overall experience. Everything seems perfectly orchestrated and well thought out. Each member of staff knows exactly what they have to do; it's seamless, organized, and efficient. And above all, it's all done in a calm atmosphere. There's no shouting, even in the kitchen; communication is simple, discreet, and controlled. Honestly, bravo, it's so enjoyable. The staff keeps a watchful eye on the table without being intrusive. You feel taken care of from beginning to end. And on top of that, the dishes are beautifully presented and delicious. Everything is in place for a wonderful time. Thank you so much!

I also had a very friendly chat with the owner, and I promised to come back very soon to try the traditional cuisine at this restaurant. A must-try, as the atmosphere is so welcoming! 🥰

13/04/2026: I went to this establishment on Saturday morning for breakfast. In Paris, prices quickly add up for little quality and unfriendly service. At La Chaufferie, my husband and I had a breakfast consisting of fresh orange juice, a hot drink, a lovely croissant, two slices of bread, a small pat of salted butter, jam, and scrambled eggs with bacon. All for €14.90, if I remember correctly. The servers were incredibly pleasant and always smiling. The decor is also quite nice. I didn't have the chance to try the other dishes, but being near the Gare du Nord, you can go there for a fantastic breakfast.
