11/06/2026: After exploring the Puy du Fou theme park, what a superb place to eat! Not a single flaw from start to finish. From aperitif to dessert, everything was excellent. The €33 set menu offers remarkable value for money. We started with a delicious salmon tartare, fresh and perfectly seasoned. For our main course, the trout fillet was of exceptional quality, accompanied by flavorful carrots and a small, absolutely delicious creamy risotto. To finish, a French toast like I'd never tasted before: melt-in-your-mouth tender, topped with exquisite caramel and served with a small scoop of vanilla ice cream. A true delight! All accompanied by a very good white wine that perfectly complemented the meal.

13/06/2025: A pleasant brasserie for dining in Rouen. The fish and chips are good, although a little light. The chocolate fondant isn't amazing. It gets the job done for a pretty decent price. The menu selection is limited, but it's sufficient. It's more suitable for a drink than a meal, though.

14/03/2026: A mountain restaurant in an authentic and elegant setting, the welcome is stiff. As for the food, the menu is simple, the dishes are typical and local, well-prepared and tasty. The prices suggest a more gourmet experience. However, this is home-style cooking with simple bistro-style dishes, "just like at home," without any innovation or attempt at original flavor combinations. No surprises in terms of taste, no added gastronomic value. For example, the rib of beef: The weight is not given, the cut is not presented before cooking, the breed of beef is not indicated, and when the information is requested, the response was: "Uh, I think they're local cows... they're 'Charolette'..." This neglect of the product clashes with the stuffy atmosphere of the service and especially the price: €140, advertised for three people, when the portion served is barely enough for two. In short, a restaurant with gourmet airs and prices, serving food worthy of a good neighborhood bistro.

17/05/2026: Very nice hotel. We had a large clean room, one of 2 on ground floor near parking, excellent for a person w mobility issue. Large parking. Quiet. Pleasant staff, very good restaurant (one menu for the day). Good breakfast. Recommended.

23/04/2026: The Lion d’Or is a particularly well-maintained hotel where you immediately feel at ease. The rooms and common areas are bright and well-kept. A very comfortable stay is guaranteed. The welcome is warm and friendly, making the experience even more enjoyable. Just a 10-minute walk away, you'll find a lovely park with a discovery trail showcasing the region's trees: a wonderful opportunity for a stroll while learning something new!

23/03/2026: I discovered this place while picking up some packages that had been delivered there. The owner is incredibly kind, friendly, and welcoming. He does everything he can to satisfy his customers. For example, I absolutely had to pick up a package because the deadline was approaching. I called him to explain that it was completely impossible for me to come on the scheduled day due to a last-minute conflict. He very kindly told me not to worry and that he would keep my package. I bought some cigarettes from him, and since I didn't have a lighter, he kindly gave me one 🎉 And I also wanted to mention the opening hours: Unless I'm mistaken, it's open from: - 5:30 am to 7:00 pm, Monday to Friday, and from 5:30 am to 1:00 pm on Saturday 💪! How many businesses have such opening hours these days?! Plus, their coffee is excellent. I truly recommend this establishment for all these reasons 👍 Don't be fooled by the café's small size, because inside you'll be greeted by a gentleman with a strong work ethic and a smile 😁 As they say, "don't judge a book by its cover," and you'll be supporting a truly local business. The menu changes weekly, so there's always something new to discover. They're often fully booked, a sign of their popularity, so be sure to reserve! 😉

07/05/2026: After a day exploring Angers, we had a lovely time at L'Angevigne. The welcome was very friendly, and we had an interesting chat with the manager. There was a good selection of wines, and the platters (mixed for us) were of high quality. Thank you very much! I highly recommend it.
