07/07/2026: A perfect moment for my birthday! 🎂 We had an incredible time at this restaurant to celebrate my birthday. The setting is simply superb and the atmosphere very pleasant. A huge thank you to our waiter (Greg) who was particularly energetic, smiling, and attentive to our needs from beginning to end! As for the food, it was very good and the portions generous: we ate our fill. Despite any negative reviews, our experience was perfect. I highly recommend it!

13/06/2026: I ordered a pan bagnat, what a disappointment! I don't know if they bake the bread themselves, but it was incredibly dry and not very good. I understand why it's hidden in its box. It was almost suffocating, which is a shame considering the recipe's origins. The only good point was that it had anchovies. The cheesecake was also heavy and dense, nothing like the cheesecake I know. I didn't even finish it. I'm really disappointed.

19/07/2026: "Shrinkflation" is affecting this beautiful, historic establishment. 💔💔 I've always had an exceptional love for this lovely Lille-based company, so recently, I bought a pack of vanilla waffles (the classic ones) at Le Bon Marché in Paris, and to my great disappointment, I discovered that the amount of vanilla cream had been halved. How sad in this world where values ​​seem to have disappeared, and for a split second, I believed that such prestigious establishments as Meert wouldn't change. Ultimately, there are no longer any standards, and from now on, I'd be better off being satisfied with any ordinary brand rather than clinging to a myth. 💔💔

They brought us rock-hard croutons to spread with tuna rillettes? Hello, dentures! We asked the waitress why the bread was so hard, and she replied, "It's all I have," before giving us slices of bread. She came back to take our order without waiting for us to finish our appetizers. Unhappy and not very friendly, she returned later. The menu wasn't worth the price, the young waiters were too attentive at the table, in short, a bad experience at this express restaurant, "Le Lion d'Or," which wasn't very welcoming. A sad end, or perhaps just plain hungry? 😂🤣

I'm taking off one star for the service because ketchup is extra and the portions are too small, whereas it (and mayo/mustard) should be available at all times on the tables, either in packets or bottles. But no complaints about the staff or the speed of service!
