21/05/2026: Former student of Greek. 5 years and never disappointed (I mean never). Go for it without hesitation, it's a penalty shootout without a goalkeeper. The chef is a gem 🥰.

25/06/2026: I didn't like the cafe at all. It's not exactly a tourist spot, but the food was absolutely terrible. Firstly, they don't have air conditioning, so it's hard to be in that stuffy atmosphere. We ordered onion soup, and we were shocked to see how it could be ruined like that. It wasn't worth a penny. We were so upset that we didn't even take a photo of the whole mess. I don't recommend it.

02/07/2026: Restaurant in the center of the village of Gambsheim. Parking available in front. It's spacious and has a terrace at the back. The menu is very comprehensive, featuring meats, salads, pizzas, and tarte flambée. The latter two are cooked in a wood-fired oven. The waitress was very friendly. We opted for an Antipasti platter and an oriental pizza. The platter was excellent and very generously topped, but the pizza itself was so-so. The crust was very thin, like tarte flambée dough. I think they could do better. The pineapple carpaccio was excellent, but the strawberries with whipped cream could have been colder. A good place to eat.

29/06/2026: First visit to Au Vieux Fournil. Pleasant setting and warm welcome. Flammed tarts and pizzas. The same dough for both, which is unusual. The tarte flambée is slightly thick, while the pizza is thin, but both are very good. The tarte flambée filling is excellent, generously topped, resulting in a superb round tarte flambée served on a plate. The pizza has a thin crust, a very good tomato sauce, and toppings made with quality ingredients. In conclusion, the tarte flambée/pizza combination, using the same base, allows both to be made in the same oven, and the result is original and impressive. A delightful surprise. This restaurant is a great find; we will be back.

10/02/2026: Pizza du Mont Borron has excellent pizzas. The ingredients are good and the pizzas are generously topped. The wait can sometimes be a little long, but it's worth it. I highly recommend it.

01/02/2026: Disgusting. A disgrace. I ate a shoe leather. The €2 pizzas from Carrefour are better. And when I call to complain, they hang up on me. Enjoy

24/07/2026: A completely lost and incompetent waitress. We had to ask her to come after a 25-minute wait because we realized that orders from customers who arrived after us were being taken. The food finally arrived. The fries I ordered with my carpaccio were missing. I asked her, and she replied, "Oh, I forgot, I'll be right back." I'm still waiting for them. As for the carpaccio, it was poorly seasoned: a few slices with a drizzle of sunflower oil and three lettuce leaves. In short, I'm hungry.

24/06/2026: A warm and welcoming atmosphere, a beautiful dining room, a buffet of starters with a wide variety of choices, generous portions, and delicious desserts too – a big thank you to the waitstaff!

27/06/2026: Despite the heatwave, we were welcomed late and were able to enjoy an excellent sausage rougail. The service was quick, the staff very friendly, and the punch was excellent!

23/06/2026: Heads up, it's a very small restaurant, so be sure to book! The food was absolutely delicious, but being from Réunion Island, I'm quite picky. A special mention for the sausage rougail. We received a warm welcome, and I'll definitely be back!

05/04/2026: We sat down with four children, waited 30 minutes, and were told it was going to be very slow. Okay. 30 minutes later, the waitress took pity on us and came to take our order. The owner walked by and told her, "No, you don't take orders, you have to see who's left first." Great for the customer! We waited an hour, weren't even sure we'd get any food, and were just a way for them to optimize their stock. The waitress said, "See how they talk to their customers and staff? You'd be better off going somewhere else." We left without any regrets.
