28/07/2026: I can't believe some of the negative reviews... I've been several times at different times of year... the owner always greets us with a smile and a kind word. The young, energetic, and pleasant servers are fantastic, and goodness knows how hard it is to find a waiter or waitress in the summer. We've always eaten well at attractive prices. If I wanted higher quality, I know my meal would cost twice as much. Here, you're in a true inn, open 7 days a week, with non-stop service all day long. Nowhere else do you find such service or such extended hours. 12/07/2026: If I could give zero stars, I would. I have rarely encountered such a level of incompetence. One of the saleswomen seemed completely incapable of understanding a very simple request; at one point, I honestly wondered if I was expressing myself poorly… before realizing that the problem clearly wasn't with me. Her colleague, unfortunately, didn't improve matters either, displaying the same lack of responsiveness and the same impression of being completely absent. I have rarely seen such unconcerned and unprofessional staff. I left with the feeling that I had wasted my time and had to deal with contempt mixed with appalling disorganization—a particularly unpleasant experience that I wouldn't wish on anyone.

26/06/2026: The lemon cake is very good, but the Flat White needs to be made by expert hands, otherwise it's really not very good, and the last one I had was a disaster.

29/06/2026: I was quite disappointed with the amount of protein, which I found ridiculously low. You have to pay extra if you really want any protein (I ordered tuna and egg). Otherwise, everything else was perfect; the salad was good and the waitress was pleasant.

15/07/2026: The glasses already smelled like vomit, one ice cube in each glass during a heatwave, no possibility of holding chairs for people arriving later, we asked for glasses of water and had to go get them ourselves while there was still some left because after two glasses there was supposedly no more, otherwise we had to pay €1.50 for a lukewarm bottle, and I repeat, during a heatwave... In short, there are much better places for less money in Valence

15/07/2026: I honestly prefer the small square. The waiter was incredibly grumpy because we just wanted to reserve chairs for our friends. Then there were the stale drinks, the cans weren't cold either, and the prices were outrageous! I ordered a drink, and when it arrived, it smelled like vomit 🤢 It makes you wonder if the glasses are even washed? Aside from the flat screen showing the World Cup, I don't know what positive thing to say... Disappointed.

19/07/2026: Turn you away if you'd just like a drink, offered to have a dessert as they insisted on having food and they still said no. Absolutely stupid, could've made an easy €30, but instead turning away customers when tables are clearly free.

16/07/2026: An awesome, typically Alsatian tarte flambee restaurant. Great service, atmosphere and delicious food. If you're looking for the traditional real deal, this is as good as it gets. Very reasonably priced also.

22/07/2026: No one greeted us when we arrived, so I decided to go to the counter. We were offered a table outside. They smiled when we ordered, and the drinks were fine. But then... the atmosphere was good because there was a very good singer (a duo). We waited two hours before eating. I pointed this out to two members of the staff: sorry/sorry. The bill was far too high for the quality of the food: sauerkraut without peppercorns, thyme, bay leaf, or wine, accompanied by bland fish and shrimp, and four potatoes. It seemed like a tourist trap to me, even though I'm from the region—and I work in the industry, and I'm not doing it well. I'm very disappointed that I invited my mother here when we were just out exploring for once.
