16/11/2025: By chance, I was invited to and discovered "L'Estudiantine." I was expecting a small restaurant just for students, which it may well be, as its delicious cuisine welcomes everyone with love. However, there was also a charming clientele (of all ages), and I was happily among them. The chef's excellent cooking allowed us to enjoy some wonderful dishes, and we were a small group of people who savored the delicious food, including my friends and myself. The warm welcome from the owners was much appreciated. I wish them much success, as they have taken over this friendly, "homemade" restaurant, and as the saying goes, "Good house, we'll be back." Whether with Club Mini66 or individually. Rating: 👏👏👏l👏👏👏

22/02/2026: We had lunch at Ty Reuz on a rainy Sunday in February. We received a warm welcome. Everything is homemade. Everything is delicious. The portions are generous. Seasonal ingredients. Suitable for children. There were even little games on the table to welcome us. A wonderful time! Thank you!

02/02/2026: A wonderful discovery! Upon booking, the warm voice invites us to come with joy. And the welcome is friendly, full of genuine warmth and authenticity. The food is made with love; you can feel it in the presentation of the dishes during service. Everything is very fresh, seasonal, delicious, and beautiful. Thank you for this unexpected stop, a lovely surprise! It's an address I'll keep in mind, with the intention of returning and sharing it with others.

08/03/2026: If you are in or planning a trip to the south of France the first thing to do once you have booked your trip is to get a lunch reservation at Couleurs de Shimatani. The race for the reservation starts 3 months out and if you are persistent and lucky you can secure a spot!! Wander the lovely streets of La Ciotat and then as if transported you will enter the kind and delightful world created by Mika and Yuichiro, a husband and wife team that run this 3 table location. Gentle and attentive service seamlessly threads the kitchen and customers together. The interior is clean, quiet and restrained. The neutral palette of the walls and tables is a perfect backdrop to the colorful dishes presented. The food created here is in a world of its own as well, wonderfully blending the most local and fresh French ingredients and flavors with Japanese techniques and accents. Each ingredient added is assembled with intention. Spectacular desserts finish off the meal. Days and weeks after you will find yourself recalling a beautiful dish and the flavors experienced on their plates. This is a restaurant which is absolutely worth the trip.

17/02/2026: Yes, I checked all the boxes. Truck stop. Truck stop restaurant closed without warning. They were closed for a break. I called them and told them I was looking for a restaurant for the evening. They invited me to come even though they don't serve food on Monday evenings. They made me a main course, a starter, and a dessert. They immediately offered to let me eat there even though only the bar was open. They are fantastic. A wonderful encounter. Truckers, don't hesitate to go. There's space to park parallel to the road. There's a parking lot a little further on. Thank you again.

23/02/2026: Hello, we celebrated a birthday, and frankly, it was fantastic! We can use the word PERFECT!!! The paella was excellent (see the photo; you can see that nothing was missing 😉👍), and the cake was as beautiful as it was delicious. I'm giving it 5 stars without hesitation, and we all shared the same opinion. Bravo also for the service; there was absolutely nothing to complain about. A big thank you for this wonderful and enjoyable time; we will be back!!!

06/03/2026: For some time now, before catching our train, we've been having lunch at Montparnasse, aptly named, and this little ritual delights us every time! Regulars and other customers mingle in a bistro with a very appealing menu. The foie gras is delicious and a generous portion for two, the croque monsieur is original and indulgent, and the daily special is always tempting. And the service is consistently welcoming—a very warm atmosphere!

19/03/2026: Passing through on a gloomy March day, Hugo generously welcomed us with an Italian coffee that brought sunshine back into our hearts. Clean refuge, friendly host, coffee cheaper than in the valley. Nice location.
