L'orchidee D'asie

15/08/2026: How lucky we were that the traditional restaurants were closed on August 15th! This led us straight to L'Orchidée d'Asie, where, despite the late hour of 1:30 pm, we received a warm welcome.
The rest of the meal was simply wonderful: the spring rolls and Ha Kao were incredibly rich and cooked to perfection, and the other dishes were equally delicious.
In short, we highly recommend this place!

This restaurant is pleasant and delicious. Parking is available a 2-minute walk away. Better than all-you-can-eat, it's perfect for those who prefer a plated meal. Takeout is available, and this restaurant has a wonderful charm.

16/06/2026: A really lovely little restaurant. The food is varied, well-balanced, and affordable, served quickly. The service is top-notch: the two ladies I saw in the dining room throughout my stay were simply delightful, always smiling and friendly. What a treat!
I don't come to Marseille regularly, but if I'm ever in the area again, I'll definitely come back to eat here. Fresh, delicious, and well-balanced: everything we love.

21/08/2026: A high-quality restaurant in an intimate setting. Don't hesitate to go if you're lucky enough to get a reservation, as they only accept 10-15 people maximum. Excellent regional dishes and impeccable service.
17/07/2026: What a superb experience at Yannick and Laurence's! Here, you'll find the true Périgord region, both on the plate and in the warm hospitality of the hosts. We had a fabulous evening in a bucolic setting surrounded by nature and animals.
My only question is: why didn't we come sooner? We will definitely be back!
Book now, the value for money is absolutely unbeatable.

We were thrilled to have finally found our haven, but then we learned they were closing on June 13, 2026. Thanks to the Biarritz town hall for forcing them to close...🤬

19/05/2026: It's always a pleasure to have lunch at this restaurant. It's very welcoming, with a lovely menu featuring a variety of fish and meat dishes, not to mention the excellent surprise menu.
And of course, there's the ever-popular cheese trolley and homemade desserts.
A magnificent selection of excellent regional wines.

08/09/2026: Disappointed by the service. On a weekday at lunchtime, there were plenty of seats available. I arrived alone to eat and was greeted coldly with the explanation that they were full… even though the restaurant was far from full.
I can understand a restaurant being full, but in this case, a minimum of courtesy and friendliness would have been appreciated.

The owners, Eva and Ben, who offer a high-quality catering service, go above and beyond to ensure the party is a success. Everything was truly perfect. A beautiful place that I recommend 100%.

24/08/2026: A caterpillar in the salad: we were discreet and signaled to the waitress, who offered no apology. Finally, the owner came over to ask if we wanted another salad (no, thank you!). The hamburger had a horse on it: the yolk was broken and overcooked. It's a neighborhood restaurant, I wasn't expecting much, so I wasn't disappointed! However, when a customer finds a live bug in their food, they could at least offer a free coffee.
In short, avoid it unless you're starving.

I eat there occasionally and have never been disappointed.
Note that they don't accept credit cards, which is a shame, but it's to be expected.

The owners are lovely, the service is always quick and friendly, the portions are generous, and the food is excellent. With such reasonable prices for the neighborhood, it's a rare find that I highly recommend.
