09/07/2026: I wanted to share my experience after ordering a Crousty pizza from Domino’s. A few hours after eating it, I started feeling very unwell: severe abdominal pain, dizziness, and a fever of 40°C (104°F). My condition required a visit to the emergency room, where I underwent several tests. The tests revealed a Campylobacter infection. This also caused me to lose 5 kg (11 lbs) in just 24 hours. I then called the pizzeria to report the situation and ask to speak to a manager. I was simply told to call back later because they were busy. I find this reaction very disappointing. When a customer calls to report such a serious health problem, the least they could do is take the time to listen, take their contact information, and offer to call back. None of this was done: I was simply asked to call back myself, which I will not do. I cannot definitively state the source of this contamination, but Campylobacter is a bacterium that can be linked to contaminated food or poor hygiene during food preparation. I sincerely hope this pizzeria will review its hygiene and food handling procedures to prevent other customers from having a similar experience. Beyond the food issue, I am particularly disappointed by the lack of consideration and seriousness in the handling of my complaint. A customer service department that doesn't take the time to listen to a customer facing such a serious health problem is clearly inadequate.

15/05/2026: Well, a very bad experience in terms of service. The restaurant was full, which is normal for this Ascension weekend. A gentleman kindly suggested we come back in 20 minutes, saying that some seats would become available. We arrived as agreed after half an hour. His manner changed; he practically shoved us out, telling us to wait further down the street, he said in a contemptuous tone. A couple arrived as well, and he told us to wait a little longer and informed them that he was setting their table. We understood, since there were only two of them and five of us. Then, immediately afterward, a group of four people arrived, and he ushered them in and seated them. That was the last straw for us! So much for the local meal; hungry and annoyed, we decided to go to Coco's just across the street. The welcome at the Auberge Rabelais was much warmer. The products may be of good quality, sourced from the Bocuse market halls, but the service is appalling. Sir, we are not just walking wallets...

18/07/2026: We tried it and we'll definitely be back! The crepes are delicious, the all-you-can-eat option is great with lots of choices for both savory and sweet crepes. And as a bonus, the staff is very friendly. A wonderful experience!

18/07/2026: We received a very warm welcome at this restaurant, which we had discovered in a TV report and were eager to try. They guided us in our choices, given the restaurant's concept, and beforehand, we enjoyed excellent sweet and savory crepes. Highly recommended.

17/07/2026: 2nd visit. we visited the place was also not a success. (1st visit was mostly closed) The plan was 2nd visit to eat a little bit of everything from different stalls - but started and ended at Pupier House where we got 6 pieces. shrimp for 20€ with 2 small glasses of white wine for 20€. The price was as it was. But the service was bad and rude, that we chose the place from. The toilets looked unhygienic.

16/07/2026: Based on reviews and the name, I had a rather grand impression of the market halls, imagining them to be a rather ordinary place with stalls offering virtually the same thing, the only exception being the Italian, Spanish, and Armenian stalls, if I remember correctly. And I bought a rosette sausage, but I was very disappointed with the quality.

06/07/2026: Passing through La Rochelle during our family vacation, we decided to stop for a meal here, and what a pleasant surprise! From the warm welcome to the generous and delicious galettes and the local lemonade, everything was perfect: the waiter's smile and the kindness of the entire team. Excellent value for money! A must-visit!
