24/11/2025: We had a very pleasant evening at this wine and tapas bar. The atmosphere was particularly convivial as we happened to be there on an evening of a well-run music quiz. Excellent wine list, homemade tapas, and sharing platters (including vegetarian options!).

Refuge du Roc de la Peche

03/04/2026: I was quite cautious when booking the refuge because various reviews had been mixed.
But it turns out the owner has changed, and the quality and hospitality are back! We had absolutely no complaints, quite the opposite!
Just one thing to keep in mind: it's not a typical "CAF" (French Alpine Club) refuge, but rather a hostel-style refuge. So you pay more, but the quality is also superior (showers, pool table, rooms, etc.).
29/03/2026: We stayed at the Refuge du Roc with a group of 12 plus 2 guides for a star-shaped ski touring trip. The refuge was a perfect base camp! The climb from Pralognan is a good warm-up but quite accessible to all levels of skiers. The refuge is perfectly equipped, notably with a games room (pool table, darts, video projector), a sauna, and a Nordic bath, which make après-ski very enjoyable! The cook was super friendly, the service impeccable, and the meals delicious.

You can tell everything is homemade with fresh ingredients. A place I wholeheartedly recommend and where I will gladly return!

Cold crepe, stuck to the plate, and rubbery; I don't know if the crepes are industrially produced like the waffles.

11/04/2026: Kim loves to follow me... an all-you-can-eat option thankfully linked to the constraint of not wasting food, and a wide menu offering multiple choices. The staff is welcoming and efficient... the cuisine could perhaps use a refresh for more flavor.
