22/02/2026: The couscous was simply excellent: light and perfectly aerated semolina, tender vegetables, flavorful and well-seasoned meats, and a rich, fragrant broth. The quality of the ingredients and the care taken in its preparation were evident. The table was perfectly suited for eight people: spacious, comfortable, and beautifully set, allowing us to share the meal in a warm and convivial atmosphere. And to finish, a delicious dessert that brought the meal to a perfect close. A truly successful culinary experience from beginning to end, which I wholeheartedly recommend!

07/07/2025: I had a personalized pizza.. So I'm sorry but the pizza dough is super thin.. I'm used to pizza in Italy and I clearly didn't find it there.. The ingredients are okay but it's a real shame about the pizza dough, I didn't like it.

31/03/2026: The king of roast chicken is here! Take the time to stop by; you'll never be disappointed. The menu is minimalist and synonymous with quality: breast or thigh, left or right. I recommend the classic mix of pasta, potatoes, and bulgur wheat, to experience it like the locals. The owner and his wife are angels. The food is as good as the atmosphere! PS: Ask the owner to stir the coffee; it aerates it :)

30/04/2026: A really great bar! We came from Toulouse for a concert with our band in Nantes. The bartender was very friendly and the waitress absolutely lovely! We received a great description of the beers, the service was impeccable, and there was a really good atmosphere both inside and on the terrace!

04/04/2026: We had a lovely family meal at this restaurant. The staff is very welcoming and friendly, with a pleasant, family atmosphere since the establishment is run by a couple and their son. The service is quite fast, and the waitress is attentive and pleasant. We tried the Flemish carbonnade and the Maroilles cheese burger: the dishes were good, well-presented, homemade, and quite generous. The prices are reasonable considering everything. The restaurant is clean, the decor is nice, and the setting is comfortable. Another plus is the child-friendly aspect, with high chairs available. The children's menu is a bit underwhelming, although the fresh fries are a real bonus. One minor drawback: the menu could use a bit more variety, and there were no fruit desserts. The wait was reasonable, and the meal went smoothly. Overall, a good place to eat; we recommend it! 👍

07/05/2026: Being gluten intolerant, it had been a long time since we'd been able to enjoy this type of cuisine. At Mao's, the menu is clear, with allergens listed, and the staff is sensitive to allergies and intolerances. We were even offered a special amuse-bouche, a thoughtful touch that made us feel more confident. The dishes were delicious (spring rolls, lemongrass beef, and filet mignon), and we experienced no symptoms.

05/05/2026: Two years ago, I left the following review: "Thai food made by Thais. Excellent. Delicious cocktails, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. Helpfulness and friendliness are on the menu." What a difference from my experience today! I called to reserve a table, knowing how busy this restaurant is at lunchtime on weekdays. I was given the choice between the counter and a high table, which I chose. So far, so good. When I arrived around 12:50 pm, there were only two people in the dining room, whereas it's usually packed. No one greeted me. There were only three of them... I wondered why there were so few customers. I was told they were all upstairs. I gave my name, saying I had a reservation. They wanted to seat me at the counter, even though I had reserved a high table. Finally, they told me that if I wanted a high table, it had to be the one next to the restrooms because all the others were reserved. Two people in the entire restaurant at almost 1 p.m., and no table for me? So I don't know what's going on. No one from the usual staff, no noise in the kitchen, whereas the place is usually bustling. Has the owner changed? I'll try again in a while because I've been going to this restaurant for ten years and I love it. In any case, if you go into this establishment and there's no noise and no many people seated, keep walking! P.S.: I just drove past the restaurant again. All the reserved tables are empty. A word to the wise...

24/04/2026: The staff were friendly and welcoming. Our room, with its lovely bathroom, was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was plentiful, and the products, some of which were locally sourced, were of high quality. We will certainly return on our next trip to the Basque Country.
