08/04/2026: I had a long day, it was very cold and I was tired, but I still wanted something fresh to eat, so I stumbled across this place and ordered takeout! The food was delicious, and the woman who helped me place my order was very friendly despite the language barrier.

17/04/2026: A lovely little country meal just steps from the port of La Seyne. Excellent, well-presented home-style dishes and prices like the daily special at €12 are really great. But for those with a bigger appetite, there's a menu to discover 😋 And if you're nice, you'll get a free glass of Dijon 👍. We had a lovely, relaxing time under the linden tree. And as soon as closing time arrived, the man taking orders (the bald old man) forced us to leave even though we hadn't finished eating. A complete lack of respect for customers. Avoid at all costs.

Every time I reminisce about the beauty of Paris, this "sting" returns, reminding me of an experience that was as cold as it was unjust. Two years ago, I visited this famous establishment with three female friends. From the moment we sat down, the service was disheartening. The waiter repeatedly pushed one of my friend’s chairs inward with unnecessary force, claiming she was blocking the path, despite the hallway being perfectly spacious. He pushed her so far back that her stomach was pressed against the edge of the table. The menu was handwritten on a blackboard, making it difficult for us to decipher. When we asked for assistance or an English introduction, the staff was visibly impatient and dismissive. We tried to convince ourselves that perhaps this was just "Parisian pride", until a white family sat down at the table next to us. Suddenly, the staff wore a different face. They were fawning and attentive, bringing the menu over and explaining every single dish in fluent English with the utmost patience. The contrast was a silent but deafening blow. I am writing this two years later because I have realized that injustice should not be met with silence. You were wrong, and you need to be aware of the impact of your bias. A restaurant’s reputation is built on its food, but its soul is defined by how it treats every guest, regardless of their background. Two years have passed, and yet this memory remains, like a small thorn lodged in my mind. Every time I think back to the beauty of Paris, this feeling of bitterness resurfaces, reminding me of an experience as cold as it was unfair. I had gone to this establishment with three friends. From the moment we arrived, the welcome was more than discouraging. A waiter kept bumping into one of my friends' chairs with unjustified rudeness, claiming it was blocking the way even though the corridor was perfectly clear. He pushed her so hard she ended up pressed against the table. The menu, handwritten on a slate, was difficult for us to decipher. When we asked for help or even a simple explanation in English, the staff became impatient and dismissive. At first, we tried to convince ourselves that this was perhaps a reflection of a certain "Parisian arrogance"... until a Western family sat down at the next table. Suddenly, the staff's demeanor changed. The service became obsequious, almost saccharine. They brought the slate menu eagerly, describing each dish in English with infinite patience. This contrast was a silent but incredibly jarring shock. If I'm writing this message two years later, it's because I've realized that injustice shouldn't be met with silence. You were wrong, and it's time you recognized the impact of your prejudices. 26/04/2026: 5 stars in its category of neighborhood brasserie, a place where people love to meet up. Pleasant, clean setting. Well-prepared food. Fresh ingredients. I tried the weekend couscous: simply delicious. Efficient, quick, and polite service. Very reasonable prices. I'll be back.

31/03/2026: A neighborhood restaurant just the way we like them, cheerfully noisy with its regulars who come from the neighborhood, sometimes after a good play at the Théâtre des Gémeaux Parisiens, which also knows how to delight us. The couscous is worth the trip alone, and the wine list will please even the most discerning palate. The welcome is warm, and the smiling, efficient staff makes this a very pleasant place. A truly great find.

17/05/2026: Brunch this Sunday morning, apparently a new menu... €30 per person: tea, fresh fruit juice, pastry or baguette, eggs Benedict in a bun, and French toast! We were stuffed, it was delicious, and the restaurant has a very cozy atmosphere. The service was friendly and very professional. You can go without hesitation.

16/02/2026: Excellent Sunday with the association Alumni of the hill / privilege The staff were incredibly welcoming, gracious, and attentive. A delicious meal and dancing with a fantastic DJ playing songs from the 80s, 90s, and 2000s 🎶👍 We'll definitely be back! ❤️
