14/04/2026: A fantastic find! Generous and very affordable menus featuring quality ingredients! We opted for the set menu at €16.50, which offered several choices: starters, two main courses, a selection of aged or fresh cheeses, and dessert. We also ordered an amber draft beer. A truly impressive cheese platter was presented on the table along with homemade jellies (hay, poppy, dandelion) and homemade desserts. The homemade jellies, honey, fruit pastes, and liqueurs are available for purchase on-site (limited quantities).

19/03/2026: A wonderful, delicious meal with excellent homemade products and the kindness of the grandmother waitress and her daughter. We will definitely return. The price is very reasonable and quite rare for a complete menu at €16.50 (starter, main course, cheese, and dessert). And of course, the delicious hay and spruce jams! A lovely discovery... Sandrine and Olivier from Ebreuil, Allier, and the sublime views on the way back down to Issoire. Thank you!

20/05/2026: Passing through Hennebont, we stopped by Le Vieux Logis. Excellent welcome, homemade dishes featuring local produce, and refined presentation. We enjoyed this place and its cuisine, and especially the value for money. Highly recommended.

06/03/2026: A wonderful discovery at the Dragon d'Asie restaurant, where we had booked for 4 people at 7:30 pm. We found the service to be impeccable, and the waitress was very friendly and smiling. The food was excellent, full of flavors and tastes. The value for money for the €25 menu was perfect, so we will definitely return for dinner when we are back in Carhaix. 14/07/2026: I had a very disappointing experience with the service at this restaurant. When I asked if there was a table available for one person, I could clearly see an empty table near the front counter. However, the owner (or possibly the manager) instructed the staff to set up a separate table for me in what didn’t seem to be a regular dining area. It was placed behind the counter, between the kitchen and the service area, next to what looked like a storage table. It made me feel uncomfortable and, honestly, discriminated against. Later, after another customer left, they moved me to a regular table at the very back of restaurant. Unfortunately, by then the damage had already been done. As an Asian customer, I couldn’t help wondering if that played a role. The poor service continued throughout my meal. I asked for water, but no one brought it. Several staff members walked past my table without acknowledging my request. I had to ask again, and I didn’t receive any water until I was almost finished eating. Overall, I left feeling upset and unwelcome.

09/07/2026: Three pâtés that looked like they were fighting each other and a beer: 27 euros. We have no idea where the anchovy went. Thanks for the messy cleaning throughout the meal. I absolutely do not recommend this restaurant.

03/06/2026: We were very disappointed with our two burgers, the Rocamadour and the duck. They lacked sauce, the bun was very soggy, and the steak we ordered was rare, but it was served medium! The sliced ​​duck was very dry. And let's not even mention the ridiculously small portion of fries! We regularly eat burgers at this restaurant. But last time it wasn't great either. We figure these things can happen, so we give it a second chance! But this time it was truly awful. We told the waiter, who apologized and said he would pass the information along. He offered to offer us coffee or a digestif, which we appreciated but declined as we weren't interested. We won't be back and we won't recommend it.

30/05/2026: Particularly friendly staff, but with a division of tasks among themselves, meaning things don't move very quickly. Bavette with fries and salad was tasty and affordable. Lots of local customers, which is a good sign.

14/07/2026: Passing by on the greenway, I saw the brand new bar/restaurant. Right next to the bike paths, you can't miss it. I sat down on the terrace, hoping to be served a nice cold Orangina in front of a group of bikers. My throat was dry, time was dragging, and I was eager to finish the ride to Dieppe. Seeing no waiter in sight, all busy inside with the Sunday regulars, I went to the bar and asked a woman if it was possible to get a cold Orangina on the terrace. She said yes, without any hesitation. Tough luck. They were out, so she offered me a Schweppes citrus drink instead, with a glass of something. The price was over 4 euros, 4.50 I think. I paid with a bitter taste in my mouth, a Schweppes. I went to drink the precious beverage; well, it was cold. I certainly won't be returning, and I can't recommend this establishment.

10/05/2026: Overall, a fairly satisfactory experience at this restaurant. On the positive side: the location (a former train station) is charming with a lovely storefront; the baked egg and mashed potatoes were very good; the bread served was excellent and fresh; the aperitif cocktails were good, and we were served complimentary appetizers; the chalkboard menu is quite varied, even though there are no vegetarian options; the dishes are served quickly, and the service is pleasant. However, there are areas for improvement: only one red wine is offered by the glass or carafe, which is a shame; the menu doesn't fully detail what is served (in particular, some side dishes are not listed on the menu or when ordering); regarding the main courses, the zucchini with burrata as a starter lacked flavor and seasoning; the scallop casserole wasn't great, with overcooked rice; the rump steak was rather tough but still tasty. The andouillette was good, but it would have been nice to have some vegetables or greens on the side in addition to the mashed potatoes. Overall, a good restaurant with a few things to improve.
