15/03/2026: A completely random visit to Reims; we were drawn in by the name of this restaurant. A delightful discovery! The menu is simple yet effective, and everything smells fresh and homemade. A place worth (re)discovering.

22/02/2026: We had their daily set menu, which was delicious and reasonably priced. Highly recommended.

13/06/2026: A very good traditional French restaurant, a bit out of time, with refined and well-balanced dishes.

26/05/2026: A good restaurant, not cheap, but ultimately you can find it offers decent value for money. Original cuisine without being soulless haute cuisine. Rachel has a real knack for it. Unique wines, well-priced bottles. You might have a good or less good time depending on the owner's mood. The waiters are welcoming!

24/05/2026: What a fabulous hotel! Classy without being snobby. Our room overlooking the river was stunning, the staff were absolutely amazing, and as for the meal in the restaurant... no words! We felt welcome and at home. If you're considering staying here, stop thinking and just book it!

12/05/2026: This small and beautiful hotel is perched above the weir (to supply the mill wheel) and you enjoy the sound of torrents of water constantly rushing. My room was spacious, well appointed and had a lovely view over the pretty town of Brantôme en Périgord. The staff were lovely and helped with anything I needed. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast on the terrace in the morning sunshine was perfect! The scrambled eggs were cooked exactly as I like them (and I’m very fussy about scrambled eggs!) and the bread and croissants were delicious. Home made preserves too. A really lovely stay! Two small criticisms. They charge €15 to park your car (you have to give them the keys), the WiFi is unbelievably slow (less than 1 MB/s)

26/05/2026: We had a wonderful family holiday with our children. The welcome, the quality of the food, and the setting were truly outstanding. I also had the opportunity to enjoy a massage with Cristina: a truly relaxing experience. She is very attentive, gentle, and caring, and she was able to relieve my tension, allowing me to fully unwind. A big thank you to Cristina and the entire team at Maison du Val for this lovely stay.

20/05/2026: I booked a table at this establishment on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, for brunch with my wife (€55 per person). We were received in a very friendly and professional manner by the staff. The buffet was generous and varied (with unlimited alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks). The buffet was of very high quality. The chef was very friendly and approachable. The only drawback was that there was a company seminar taking place, so we were seated in a small, intimate, and period-style room. However, we were in the passageway leading to the seminar room. We were disturbed by the constant coming and going, the loud music, and the speeches of the participants. At times, some seminar participants were using inappropriate language among themselves as they left the room. We were also unable to take advantage of the library and the dairy. The premises are historic and very charming. All of these factors spoiled our visit.

09/05/2026: Thank you for this authentic stopover. Charming hotel owners, delicious meal (thank you for the very tender duck breast)! It's a shame there was no music last night, but I would have gladly shared my favorite blues songs with you!

24/03/2026: Very clean hotel. The rooms are well soundproofed and the beds are comfortable. The meal consisted of a classic three-course meal (starter, main, dessert), but generous portions and very good. Breakfast was served at the table. Good value for money and, most importantly, open this season.

21/05/2026: A very tasteful restaurant with excellent cuisine and superb service.

24/04/2026: We only went to the Auberge restaurant for dinner. Here in Scherwiller, about 20 minutes from Colmar, they offer upscale, sometimes outstanding, country-style cuisine, which means even more in Alsace than in Germany. We treated ourselves to a set menu with accompanying wines, while our daughter had some difficulty finding something suitable on the à la carte menu. Visually, everything was Michelin-star quality (see photos). The amuse-bouche (homemade bread, a creamy soup with garnish) was a fantastic start. The appetizers were homemade foie gras and cured salmon accompanied by a complementary cream that resembled a sorbet. The main course was filet mignon, one with an excellent escalope de foie gras, the other with spaetzle. The only criticism was that the meat might not have been cut against the grain. This didn't detract from the taste, but the texture was noticeably too firm. My daughter chose fish, possibly cod in an excellent saffron mushroom sauce; I can't quite recall the exact type. Hopefully, we'll reap the rewards of this culinary education someday. For dessert, we had a meringue on a berry sauce, and the second one, a sorbet hidden beneath a praline topping, served in a perfectly matched cream. The wine pairing was superb. I'll definitely be buying one or two of them for myself. All in all, thanks in large part to the incredibly friendly service and inviting atmosphere, it was a delightful excursion into the rural Alsatian gourmet scene.

11/05/2026: While passing through Mende, we thoroughly enjoyed a large Lozère pizza, which was excellent. I highly recommend this pizzeria for its friendly service and quality. From Nantes

06/04/2025: First the negative things: I think the only negative in that I gets quite warm inside. Positive things: The raclette was really delicious,the charcuterie as well and the menu had many different options, including a child-menu. The staff was really lovely too. They also have a bar with a terrace upstairs, which uses the raclette cheese if unfinished!

23/03/2025: First time to have dinner here and we had the most wonderful, locally authentic meal. Onion soup and Pierrade au Boeuf, the meat was simply delicious. Service was excellent and friendly, atmosphere was lovely. Highly recommend.
