15/05/2026: I've been coming to the New York for a long time during the festival. This year they're not welcoming, not customer-oriented, they're unpleasant, bordering on disrespectful. And it's not just me, it's the entire clientele. Only two former servers are trying to salvage what they can. They won't see me again.

15/05/2026: I visited New York Restaurant in Cannes today around 8 PM with my wife, and unfortunately, the experience started very badly because of the person welcoming guests at the entrance. As soon as we arrived, she kept staring at us and judging what we were wearing, which made us feel very uncomfortable and unwelcome. When I politely asked for a table for dinner, she replied in a rude and unfriendly manner that the waiting time was 20–25 minutes, even though several tables were clearly empty. When I mentioned that I could see available tables, she repeated the same answer with an angry expression and an impolite attitude. I told her it was fine and that we would wait. Surprisingly, only 2 minutes later, she invited us to a table, which made the whole situation even more confusing and unprofessional. A restaurant’s first impression matters a lot, and unfortunately this employee completely failed in basic customer service. I strongly recommend hiring someone who knows how to welcome customers with respect, professionalism, and a smile. The current hostess was clearly not competent for this role and seriously damaged the overall experience.

Didier and Badra know how to welcome you into their world, a wonderful atmosphere, perfect for spending quality time with friends or family. The dishes are delicious, generous, and prepared with high-quality ingredients. A special mention for the couscous on Thursday evenings! The service is welcoming, friendly, and attentive. I highly recommend it; a truly wonderful discovery. I will gladly return!

23/03/2026: The dining room is very welcoming, the daily menu is very generous and reasonably priced. Worth discovering just a few minutes from Épinal. Sort of Docelles. Easy access and parking available. Accessible ramp.

20/03/2026: A very pleasant break at this restaurant on the Épinal-Gérardmer road. The short 1km detour is definitely worth it. Excellent value for money.

03/05/2026: A very good experience at this restaurant. The cooking was perfectly executed, especially the meat, which was tender and cooked exactly as requested. You can tell the care put into the kitchen. The service was also top-notch: welcoming, quick, and professional staff, always attentive without being intrusive. I highly recommend this establishment for a pleasant time and a delicious meal. Children's menu not listed, but they are always happy to accommodate customers. A good and tasteful wine list. Homemade cuisine, which is sorely lacking these days.

16/03/2026: We celebrated a birthday in the room dedicated to group meals. There were 25 of us, and everything went perfectly: the meal was excellent and everything arrived piping hot, the service was impeccable, and the owner was very welcoming. He truly went the extra mile to ensure the event was perfect. We had a wonderful time. I highly recommend this place.

02/05/2026: We had booked for 7 adults and 2 children, but we were seated very cramped. The dining room was very noisy, the service was slow, and the food was mediocre. In short, avoid it on a Saturday night!

11/05/2026: McDonald's is very accessible and undergoing exterior renovations, but this doesn't prevent you from ordering directly in the restaurant or for takeout.

08/04/2026: I went to the drive-thru at 3 PM for a meal with a MacPop. They forgot the MacPop, so I had to make the trip again, seven months pregnant, wasting gas and waiting again. I explained the situation, and the woman went to get the MacPop but brought back a different flavor. She went to exchange it. She could have given me both as a gesture of goodwill. In the end, the MacPop was completely dry and really unpleasant. Very disappointed.

09/06/2026: Received in good condition... just a little stingy with the side dishes and not really copious.

09/05/2026: Avoid at all costs… unless you want to ruin your evening. The fact that this restaurant was the only one with available seats—and practically empty—on a Friday night should have been a red flag. We decided to give it a chance anyway… what a mistake. To begin with, the service: pushy and intrusive waiters. They came to ask us far too often if everything was alright… it became oppressive. But the highlight of the evening was when we found a piece of plastic about 1 cm long in a cod fritter (already far too greasy). We could have choked. We called the waiter over, who replied, embarrassed, that “it happens.” As an apology, he brought us another fritter… imagine our surprise when we found, this time, a piece of paper inside. Naively, we decided to ignore the incident and dig into the main course: poorly thawed fish, sticky and undercooked rice, bland vegetables, and to top it all off… a leek compote that was simply inedible. So we cancelled our desserts and wanted to leave as quickly as possible. That's when they brought us three coconut digestifs “as an apology” (bad luck: one of us doesn't drink alcohol and another hates coconut). In short, a complete fiasco from start to finish. And to add insult to injury, we were still charged for the accras.

05/05/2026: This establishment has been recognized several times by the Rough Guide, and it's easy to see why: far from the touristy Saint-Malo, you'll find a warm, pleasant, and welcoming atmosphere—what a delight! The servers are incredibly attentive throughout the meal, always with a smile; it's so enjoyable. The cuisine is delicious and flavorful, from appetizer to main course. Unfortunately, we didn't have the chance to try the desserts. The Asian-style steak tartare was a true delight, as was the Thai chicken curry—a real treat! A pleasant surprise was the perfectly executed cocktails; it's rare to find a spritz so well-balanced. 😍 I recommend this restaurant without hesitation! Go, you won't be disappointed!
