24/05/2026: If you're passing through Sournia, don't hesitate to stop at the Auberge de Sournia. A very warm welcome, panoramic terrace, delicious and beautifully presented dishes. A superb experience!

09/07/2026: A lovely brasserie in the shade on this sweltering June 27th. A warm and friendly welcome. But our waiter wasn't up to par... The Auvergne salad was good, and we had a pear Belle Hélène for dessert. Everything was very good, except that I asked the waiter to serve the chocolate separately because I don't like large quantities of chocolate. He did, but brought a plate with a whole pear—and I should add, an excellent one, not canned—but without the scoop of ice cream. I called him back to clarify, and he said he didn't know if there was ice cream or not. I told him it was vanilla, pear, chocolate, and whipped cream ice cream, and he replied, "Oh, and you want ice cream?" That's the whole point of an ice cream sundae. I think this gentleman wasn't a professional waiter and we just happened to encounter one of the legendary Parisian waiters... 😉 I should mention that the rest of the team—bartenders, hostesses, and other servers—seemed very friendly. Next time we're in Paris, we'll try to find the other waiters.

13/06/2026: Unacceptable. Seated at a table with my family, I only learned when I went to order that a kebab couldn't be served at the table. Other people could eat in, but not me. So I had to leave without eating. An absurd rule and service that completely lacks business sense. First and last visit.

10/06/2026: Very, very disappointing. The meat is good, but you seriously need to reconsider your staff. The waiter, who wears glasses, is very arrogant, even rude. We were a family of four—two parents and two children—and we wanted to order three main courses and just one sandwich, since my daughter doesn't eat salad or wheat. She absolutely insisted on a sandwich. I politely asked if she could have a sandwich while we ordered the main courses. He told me, with an indifferent and arrogant air, "Well, she can sit on the terrace by herself; we don't serve sandwiches here" (a 5-year-old child). However, I pointed out that we were in the same situation a while ago, and yet they served her a sandwich with our meals. He then had the nerve to tell me I was lying and that he'd worked at the restaurant for five years and had never served a sandwich in the dining room. A colleague of his came to explain the situation to us kindly. We ordered our meals, but my daughter stayed without eating anything. (We stayed because my husband is diabetic and needs to eat.) We'll never set foot in there again!!

14/05/2026: As fans of Chinese food, and on a weekend getaway, my friend and I were looking for a good little Asian restaurant, and we weren't disappointed. The staff were very friendly, welcoming, and attentive. The place was clean, and the buffet offered something for everyone and was of high quality. We were definitely not disappointed with our evening and have noted this address for future visits.

10/07/2026: We were disappointed with our experience. The service was particularly slow, even though the restaurant wasn't especially full. I ordered pasta that was far too heavily seasoned with parsley, completely masking the flavor. My wife ordered a cream risotto and felt unwell during the night after the meal. It's a shame, as we had higher expectations.

15/03/2026: Nous avons passé une soirée absolument géniale dans ce restaurant ! Dès l’arrivée, l’accueil donne le ton : l’énergie de Valérie est incroyable. Rayonnante, spontanée et toujours joviale, elle nous met immédiatement à l’aise. On a vraiment l’impression d’être reçus comme chez des amis. Côté cuisine, les viandes maturées sont tout simplement incroyables. La cuisson au barbecue à l’extérieur est parfaitement maîtrisée et met vraiment les produits en valeur. Les accompagnements sont tous excellents et très bien pensés. Mention spéciale aussi pour le choix de fromages et de desserts, tous plus appétissants les uns que les autres… même s’il faut garder un solide appétit pour y arriver ! Le concept est génial et l’ambiance du lieu est top : on se croirait presque à un repas de famille à la ferme, avec la déco chaleureuse, les grandes tables conviviales et même des vestes en laine de mouton à disposition si la fraîcheur se fait sentir. In short, we were completely won over by this experience. We will gladly return and recommend this place without hesitation!

28/04/2026: My first experience at this restaurant in Montendre, ideally located for me between the Lot-et-Gaonne and Vendée regions. The daily menu was very good and reasonably priced. The parking and terrace are a plus, and the service was excellent.

10/05/2026: I love Chaud, it's just a classic and it's right down the street from me. The maxi panetto steak with white sauce and homemade Gruyère is incredible. I highly recommend it; you'll cry over the sandwich, eat Chaud!!
