23/12/2025: We came this Friday, December 20th. Big disappointment. The egg salad was identical to the mountain salad. Four croutons were replaced by half a barely toasted loaf of white bread with melted cheese on top. Followed by pike quenelles with Nantua sauce. Except the quenelles were completely dried out (certainly due to being reheated many times) and served with a very thick, pasty Nantua sauce. With a half-bottle of red wine to accompany it, for €7. Well, the quality is no longer there. Too bad, we won't be going back.

01/07/2026: Hello, the other day my wife and I came to grab a bite. It's very expensive for what it is. It was very hot, the air conditioning barely worked, and under the glass roof, it was over 39°C. A flan for 3 euros is okay, but the small orange Tropicana for 2.90 euros is too expensive and I wouldn't recommend it. There are cheaper options at the Carrefour Cholet shopping center! And you're not a restaurant, you're a self-service cafeteria. My wife won't be buying bread from you again; every time we had to wait for it to be reheated, there's a real lack of organization! Avoid it.

01/07/2026: During my last visit to Patapain, I was planning to return, but I learned that in the standard farms where you source your meat, piglets are mutilated at birth: their tails are docked and their teeth are ground down. Breeding sows spend half their lives in cages. Knowing this completely ruins my dining experience: pigs are intelligent and sensitive, and these cruel practices cause them immense suffering. I am a citizen committed to animal welfare, and I find it unacceptable that restaurant chains are unable to commit to respecting animals and their sentience.

23/07/2026: Not suitable for those like us who wanted to make do with a sandwich and a drink. I don't know about the quality of the other dishes, but the sandwiches left a lot to be desired. Nice atmosphere, rather aloof service.

06/06/2026: Review from a small group of 8 people. We found the setting very pleasant, the staff cheerful and very friendly, and the meals we ordered completely satisfied us. We highly recommend it!

14/05/2026: Honestly, a disastrous experience. The fries weren't even cooked: white, soggy, and tasteless. The waiter was completely absent and unresponsive. The meat was full of fat, almost inedible. Even the water had a strange, very unsettling taste. The worst part was the hygiene: I found a shrimp antenna and a hair in my food. This is unacceptable in a restaurant. Clearly, the hygiene is lacking, and it completely ruins your appetite. I absolutely do not recommend this place. Very disappointed by the quality of the food and the lack of professionalism of the service.

29/05/2026: I'm leaving a review to thank Tony for his efficiency in taking our order and his friendliness. A top-notch team member! However, the drink was a bit too sweet, Tony, which is a shame. I recommend going to see Tony at the Granville McDonald's; you'll have a great time!

19/05/2026: I never leave reviews for McDonald's, but this one deserves it. Smiling employees, orders prepared with care, and if they have time, they offer to clear your tray! Well done! Other McDonald's restaurants should take note…

03/06/2026: We have stayed at this hotel several times a year for many years. We noticed a decline in the cleanliness of the room and several shortcomings, which we politely mentioned to the receptionist (not to complain, but to point them out). She even offered us breakfast and a free tourist tax as compensation. She also explained that two of the three cleaning staff were on leave and that they were training new staff, which might explain these minor inconveniences. We hope our comments will help them regain their 5-star rating for the room and services, which we have no doubt they will! 😁

27/05/2026: My opinion of this hotel is very mixed. I'll start with the biggest negative: it's a real shame that the air conditioning wasn't turned on in advance, especially since a heatwave had been forecast for several days. I slept with the window open, with a neighbor smoking right outside our window, because the hotel rooms are non-smoking... Not cool at all. I complained to management, who gave us a discount. My rating therefore takes into account this air conditioning issue and the discount, but it doesn't change the fact that I had a difficult night. Another negative point: the sheet was tucked in too tightly at the foot of the bed, leaving nothing at the head. I had to redo it, otherwise I would have ended up with the pillow on the mattress. Aside from that, the hotel is well located. The rooms are clean. The restaurant is simple, but perfectly adequate. The breakfast is quite good. The staff are friendly. The management, however, is less so, especially when they have to explain to guests that the air conditioning takes 48 hours to fully activate...

13/06/2026: The food was good. The sauces were very nice. However, it often lacked that little something extra to make it truly excellent. The service was impeccable and the waiter very friendly. A bit pricey though.

01/07/2026: Hello, The manager, in addition to being very accommodating, gives us a very warm welcome, and her homemade dishes are excellent for a reasonable price. This is a great restaurant where you appreciate the food as much as the smiles. You won't be disappointed! 👍👏 To the paranoid pilgrims out there 🤭: I myself am a pilgrim, and have been for many years. I'm old, I look like a vagabond, and I've never felt mocked or seen anyone with a better plate than mine. To top it all off, I couldn't find a place to stay, but the manager, Stéphanie, went to great lengths, calling her contacts one after another to find me a room. 😇😉 So, well done, thank you, keep up the good work, and let the gossip run its course! 😂 Guy, a solitary vagabond on the Stevenson Trail

16/06/2026: Absolutely avoid 😱, no respect for the kitchen… everything was closed by default so we went anyway, disaster, the daily menu was tasteless and tasteless!

21/06/2026: Speciality coffee very full of itself. we came in one morning, being the only customers at the time, and asked for americanos with a little milk on the side. the barista goes: “we don’t do that”. “you have milk?” ״yes you can order a latte or flat white” “can you make 2 americanos?” “yes” “so can you make 2 and just give us some milk” “no, we don’t do that”….

03/06/2026: A cozy place, a calm atmosphere, and the coffee is roasted on-site! What makes this place special is that there's no added sugar. Truly authentic coffee!

18/07/2026: I'm here right now and I was served by an absolutely lovely young man who remained polite and helpful even though a nasty customer spoke to him like he was a dog just before I paid. This man truly deserves a raise!

16/07/2026: The food is delicious, but there's a catch: at McDonald's, the tables, chairs, and sofas are dirty and full of crumbs.
