21/08/2026: We were looking for a restaurant for two in Aix-les-Bains and, after reading the many positive reviews for L’Évasion, we decided to make a reservation. And we were so glad we did! From the moment we arrived, we felt at ease. Seated on the terrace, we appreciated the calm and pleasant atmosphere, despite the nearby foot traffic. The service was very professional, attentive, and efficient. As for the food, it was excellent: refined, flavorful, and beautifully presented dishes. A wonderful discovery and a place we highly recommend. Definitely worth trying if you're ever in Aix-les-Bains.

14/08/2026: Always perfect. I come once a year and wish I could come more often. Four-star service; the owner is incredibly kind. The food is always a delight, something out of the ordinary. An exceptional experience that I highly recommend. And they also have a delicious white wine, Pakhus.

21/07/2026: Gourmet! Truffle ham 🌝! Cloud of fresh cheese with mint and feta with watermelon cubes… a very refreshing and fragrant non-alcoholic cocktail! A delight!

27/08/2026: Absolutely fantastic! Everything was delicious. I chose the menu of the day with 3 course. 3rd time I had Gazpacho & the first time that I liked it & finished the bowl. Braised pork was full of taste, even the mashed potato & vegetables were tasteful. Chocolate mousse was indescribable. Staff were nice, attentive & fast. Portions were enough even if you’re quite hungry. 😋

27/08/2026: Went yesterday and letting you know you really should reserve a table before anything. They have really good level of service and great English for those who can't speak the best french, so they do a good job at making you feel relaxed while you eat the excellent and fresh food they have there. I had no issues at all and the price was worth it's quality.

29/07/2026: Exceptional, highly inventive cuisine that skillfully reinterprets local produce. The service is impeccable, both discreet and warm. A magical moment amidst the lively atmosphere of the small port.

28/07/2026: Slightly Underwhelming. Service was slow at the beginning but picked up later on, Food was very good and consistent however wine parings failed to meet the dishes well despite the good story they followed. Generally a very nice meal however the older bistro style it had will be missed!

Lionel, the owner, is the heart of the place. With each visit, he has a new story to share, anecdotes that brighten the evening and create a genuinely friendly atmosphere. It's rare to find an owner who fosters such a connection. The intimacy of the place makes it ideal for a one-on-one date, far from the hustle and bustle of trendy bars. Conversations flow naturally, without the noise of a crowd. But it's also a perfect haven to recharge when you need a break, a place where you truly feel welcome. Highly recommended for those who value authenticity over superficiality.

11/07/2026: A superb discovery: this cocktail bar tucked away in the Saint Jean district. The two bartenders are true lovers of French spirits and craft their cocktails with real expertise. No overly sweet, mainstream cocktails here, but a local selection that delighted us. The setting is magnificent, with a Belle Époque and Roaring Twenties soundtrack that perfectly complemented the atmosphere.

26/07/2026: The food was great - the service lacked a bit of finesse though. It was a lot of rushing around - we waited 15-20 minutes after being seated before being approached with the menu- and this was after asking twice for it and asking if we could have two glasses of champagne. Not the greatest start- biggest change they could make is simply asking if you want an aperitif right when you sit down- after that, I don’t mind waiting a little if there’s synchronization that needs to happen in the kitchen. Also forgot to bring dessert with a candle for my husbands birthday even though it was mentioned when making the reservation - not a big deal, but would have been nice. On the food though, it was very good- interesting! And well done. Bravo chef.

16/06/2026: A very nice restaurant with attentive and very pleasant staff. The ingredients are of excellent quality, and the dishes are prepared in a way that enhances them, creating a harmonious balance, all at a very reasonable price! My experience there was very good; I highly recommend it.
