26/05/2026: One star just so I can post this... but it should really be zero! I strongly advise against going there unless you're open to having your birthday party canceled three hours beforehand. Without a valid reason, of course. "We are temporarily closed," they sent a message. They're making a mockery of us. The bar is definitely open. They simply received a more lucrative booking request. On top of that, they're running away... because when you call them back for some explanation—the very least they could do—you inevitably get their voicemail. This is unacceptable! Don't trust them... they're nothing but lies. So there you have it... a very sad birthday party... that couldn't happen.

23/07/2026: A truly wonderful discovery! We had a fantastic time. The dishes were delicious, the ingredients high-quality, and the value for money remarkable: a starter, main course, and dessert for under €30—that's become rare these days. Special mention goes to the gazpacho and sangria, which practically transported us to Spain with their perfectly executed flavors. I also greatly appreciated the impeccable cleanliness of your establishment, both inside and on the terrace, not forgetting the restrooms. It's a detail that makes all the difference and reflects the care you take of your customers. Thank you to you and your entire team for your warm welcome, professionalism, and generosity. It's clear you love your work, and this is evident in both the food and the atmosphere. I highly recommend this place and will definitely return. P.S.: Mr. Boss, next time, let me enjoy the lime mousse with its apricot marmalade… and not with the strawberry coulis! 😄 I promise, I'll be even happier!

22/06/2026: I wanted to leave Quick and go to McDonald's, but I realized there weren't any power outlets to charge my phone, and that's a deal-breaker. I eat, I charge! I'm telling you this, but I think a lot of people don't come because of it, so in my opinion, you're losing a lot of money! Also, it's true that the lady with the short, graying hair is a bit of a grump, even though she's trying, but you can tell it's hard for her. I won't give my opinion on the rest of the fast food restaurant since I won't be eating there, at least not until there are power outlets, but at first glance, it looks clean.

18/06/2026: The waitresses were incredibly dishonest. They didn't bring my order to my table even though I had requested table service. And when I came to the counter after 15 minutes, the waitress told me I wasn't at my table, even though I hadn't moved at all. They then implied it was my fault because I should have stopped the waitress when she had a drink in her hand. How could I have known? She called out a number as she walked past me that had nothing to do with my order number. And they claimed I wasn't at my table. So why did the waitress call out a number when she should have gone directly to my table?! I gave one star because it's impossible to give zero. Otherwise, the review can't be published. Avoid McDonald's at all costs. This is the last time I'll ever go there.

26/06/2026: I lived in Sélestat almost 10 years ago, and this was already the place to go, which is why when I was passing through last Sunday, I preferred to stop there rather than anywhere else. I think the quality and price haven't changed much, and the service is top-notch. The lady at the till took the time to prepare my halal chicken sandwich, which was really nice. I also got a chocolate braid from the day before, which was well-wrapped in cellophane, and frankly, it was still very good for €2, if I'm not mistaken. The only thing was that the pretzels were a little dry, but I think that's due to the weather. The shop remains beautiful, clean, and well-stocked. The restrooms are clean and accessible for people with reduced mobility. Parking is fairly easy, although spaces turn up quickly.

13/06/2026: This restaurant is a joke! A 3-hour wait for a table for 8, even though we arrived at 6:30 pm and only a few tables were occupied. It all depends on whether the manager likes you or not. No reservations possible, no information on wait times. The manager's welcome was appalling. Well, yes! You can't just invent management skills. Age certainly doesn't make a good manager. Sometimes the best way out is the door, by the way. It avoids being bitter and rude. Check your doggy bags before leaving. For me, it's a place to avoid. You shouldn't confuse quantity with quality... For €60 per person, there are very good seafood restaurants with friendly staff and a much more pleasant atmosphere.

14/06/2026: We're on holiday in the area. We went to the Sunday market in Vidauban and then wanted to eat in the lively village square. What a mistake to choose this brasserie! Fish and chips, basic as a main course. Unwashed salad, sand and fruit flies, overcooked fries, reheated in cold oil. As for the fish, it was edible considering I was sitting by the kitchen window and it was unwrapped from a tray. So I went to the counter to say that it wasn't acceptable. The owner told me he would take care of our plates himself. It came back with salad still unwashed, sand, fries in yet another deep fryer, and fish. The same plate with a drizzle of balsamic vinegar and two cherry tomatoes added. The waitress was very friendly and offered us scoops of ice cream or coffee, which was complimentary. But at €15.50 a plate, it's a rip-off of tourists. I have a photo to prove it, but I can't seem to share it.

18/05/2026: Hotel renovated, room with smells, no bedside table (awful), 16/05/2026.

30/03/2026: I spent one night there for work, as part of an overnight stay. The evening meal was a very good buffet with a varied and plentiful selection of starters, main courses, and desserts. However, the room was really nothing special. It was very clean, no complaints there, but I had neither shutters nor curtains on the window, the bed was rather hard, and the hotel was very noisy. You can hear people talking in the hallways, I could also hear my neighbor in the next room, and it's incredibly noisy when the bar is busy.

29/06/2026: My review from April 2026 disappeared, so I'm posting it again. The dishes were very greasy; the scallops were swimming in butter and had no flavor. The "tortilla de patata," a kind of scrambled egg separated from the very greasy potatoes, was also a disaster. As for cleanliness, the table wasn't cleaned, and the water carafe was cloudy. The waitress was pleasant, which explains my good rating for the service; otherwise, it would be a zero. We won't be returning. I'm truly surprised this restaurant has 4/5 stars.

03/06/2026: I stumbled upon this extraordinary, almost timeless restaurant... friendly welcome, quick service, generous and delicious main course and dessert, ice-cold water, all for €17. Even if the dishwasher is a bit dirty, there's nothing to change; if there's a problem, we should help them—it's part of the city and country's heritage.

27/06/2026: Frankly, we were disappointed with the food. We opted for the brunch menu, and it was dry and lacked sauce. The French toast was reheated. The hot drinks were good, and we had to ask twice for ice. It's a shame about the setting, as the location and ambiance are quite pleasant.

22/06/2026: Very disappointed with this brunch. The egg muffin was really dry and bland. Overall, the brunch was nothing special and not worth the trip. I don't think I'll be back.

10/06/2026: I cane here for a birthday in 2019, and when I was back in 2026, we just had to go back. The food is simply incredible, the staff are so attentive, and I can't wait to go back again

27/05/2026: Unfortunately this was a disappointment. I was excited for the experience but experimenting with ingredients doesn’t mean almost no protein (only a few slices of tuna as a main dish and thin as a paper starter fish dish) or almost no flavor. Two of the dishes were asparagus, one was a potato. I was able to get the protein from the basque cheese cake which was great. However, I like my protein in fish or meat, not the dessert menu. Need to add one or two more solid protein dishes and add some variety. Many dishes were bland. Desserts were great and there were three of them after a pretty much vegetarian meal with portions on the smaller side. It’s a shame. Oh and the 3 euro charge for water that looked like tap water I didn’t understand at all.
