24/05/2026: The welcome was extremely unpleasant, and the service was truly awful. The staff were haughty and completely out of touch. The total lack of politeness made for a dreadful experience. This hotel/bar does not deserve its reputation. Avoid it.

18/05/2026: The breakfast was very good, I highly recommend it. The rooms are spacious and fairly quiet. The location is excellent. Parking is rather difficult to access if you have a large car. The prices are reasonable.

08/07/2026: Passing through Chauvigny, we received a very warm welcome. The meal/dessert was excellent, and the setting was very pleasant. I highly recommend it.

30/06/2026: I'm giving it one star, but if I could give it zero, I would gladly do so. I agree with all the negative reviews. I came with a friend to sit on the terrace for a cocktail. The welcome? Zero stars. Friendliness -0. Service -0. Absolutely no professionalism whatsoever. The staff didn't even say hello. We had to rush our order because the restaurant staff "had to get to their tables." I also noticed how the waitress spoke to customers who wanted to have lunch. Don't go; you'll be very, very disappointed.

07/04/2026: The calf's head was a delight. A generous portion, and the service was incredibly fast. Never disappointed. Don't forget to book, especially on Mondays, market day, as it's a popular spot.

06/04/2026: A pleasant visit on market day, with very friendly staff but a very disappointing meal. The chicken with morels was tasteless, the sauce unsalted, and they charged an extra €5 for morels, which only served one. I won't be going back.

19/07/2026: It's not a bad brasserie, on the contrary! But we can't say that the welcome there is the warmest either.

09/07/2026: Honestly, a horrible experience… the waiter wasn't friendly. My girlfriend and I ordered drinks, and her glass was EXTREMELY DIRTY… plus, the wait time for a drink was over 20 minutes, and when I decided to order dessert, the same waiter told me they were out of dessert and offered me something else. I ordered a Coke instead, and 5 to 7 minutes later, he came with the dessert I had ordered, even after saying it was out of stock. He brought it with him… And guess what? I was still charged! What a joke! I'm NEVER going back to this place… and I advise you not to go either. CATASTROPHIC EXPERIENCE!!!

08/12/2025: They put a flyer in my mailbox (two identical copies) even though it says NO ADVERTISING on my mailbox. Update: They just put another flyer in my mailbox, which shows they completely disregard feedback, and NO, contrary to what their response suggests, I'm not going to add extra work for myself by sending them an email, lol, that's their job, not mine.

16/10/2025: Honestly abused. 10 minutes to wait for our order, 30 minutes for two pizzas, and on top of that they arrive burnt. Between the non-existent service and the quality, it's zero. Avoid, I don't recommend it at all.

10/07/2026: I ordered two bagels via Uber Eats. The bread was incredibly stale and really unpleasant to eat. I don't understand how they can sell bagels with bread of this quality. It tasted like I was given day-old bread. I'm used to eating bagels from this chain, so when the bread isn't fresh, I can tell right away. It's a shame to offer this to loyal customers like me.

07/07/2026: (I have no idea if Google will post this review, as they are in direct collaboration with Department of Homeland Security firms and seem to be censoring my content by not posting it. I'll write the review anyway, even though Google seems to be protecting businesses and censoring free speech, while also paying libertarians in Austin, TX to lobby for unfettered free speech. I guess they selectively enforce their policies, hopefully not by ethnicity or gender.) Bagelstein recently put up a sign saying that politesse is required by all customers. My only comment is that their workers are not very kind if you ask questions or ask for customization of an order. For example, they respond with disdain if you ask for a modification and, if they comply with the modification, do it with great and apparent contempt for the customer. In the USA, this type of behavior would result in a customer leaving without paying. Politesse is a two-way street. A business cannot expect politesse from customers if the staff is not acting with politesse, mid-transaction. Please add a new sign that says that customer modifications are not possible, that the menu is rigid and the workers will not listen to requests or feedback on anything in the store. This will avoid problems and misunderstandings in the future. In the USA, the customer is always right. In France, the business is always right, it seems. Thanks in advance to Google for posting my review and not retaliating against unhappy customers. Isn't that what these reviews were created for? A safe space for customers to leave feedback, without retaliation?

19/07/2026: Avoid at all costs!!! An insult to Italian pizza!!!! Burnt crust, acidic sauce, minimal toppings, and a very (too) thin crust that crunches in your mouth. Cash only, no card payments accepted....🤔

19/06/2026: Cold pizza delivered, fake pizza dough, Toppings placed on without being heated (cold cheese slice). Call: We don't care, you got your delivery!!

28/05/2026: The pizzas are getting worse and worse, lacking toppings, sauce, overcooked… before they were amazing, now they are really poor quality.

14/02/2026: We stumbled upon this place and were welcomed like family. The cook asked us questions to ensure we made the best pizza—little things that make all the difference—and we were even treated to homemade hot sauce! Both pizzas we ate were delicious, and the atmosphere was wonderfully relaxed. I highly recommend this restaurant/pizzeria.
