15/05/2026: A very pleasant welcome. A lovely, generous sharing platter. Unlimited calf's head. Personally, I found the sauce barely seasoned and a bit bland, but overall it was good. The fried small fish was excellent. My only complaint is the frozen and microwaved dessert – it was too ordinary. A homemade tarte tatin is so much better! I'll definitely go back; we had a great time.

11/04/2026: I'm giving it one star because I can't give less. Very disappointed. The mojito was awful, the whisky was dry and watery with ice cubes, three salad leaves cost €2, and the fried smelt was inedible. The service was too slow and unpleasant. The toilet was covered in graffiti. We waited 50 minutes for the bill and had to ask for it again. Apparently, we were bothering the few other customers. Group of 8

20/02/2026: It's hard to judge this place with its dilapidated exterior and the fact that the door is locked, contrary to what is indicated on the internet.

01/03/2026: Nice location. Vegetable soup looked like dishwater and tasted inedible. Chilli Con Carne was just OK. Chips, coffee and beer all good. Nice dog.

01/10/2026: Frozen pizza from Aldi... once was enough... I've never eaten such a bland pizza. It wasn't cooked enough, honestly, you should find another job.

06/09/2026: Of course you're entitled to a vacation, no one disputes that. However, it seems the information regarding your closing dates is outdated. When the hours or information displayed online suggest the establishment is open, it's understandable that customers try to contact you to place orders. It would therefore be best to update this information to avoid misleading your customers and prevent unnecessary calls and disappointments. Enjoy your vacation! 😉

27/05/2026: If you want a great meal, this is the place to stop! I've been under construction in the area for about two months, and I eat here every lunchtime. Never a single mistake in the kitchen! Meat and omelets are always cooked perfectly. The pizzas are generous and delicious. I especially love the fish and chips and the Saint-Marcellin fondue. The service is always excellent, with a smile and friendly service! They're always responsive and attentive to their customers. Thank you so much, please don't change a thing! Luckily, I'm still under construction in the area for a little while longer.

25/05/2026: I never miss the pleasure of stopping for a coffee when I go shopping because it's a friendly place and I always enjoy going back; the owner and staff are lovely people.

17/08/2026: A very warm welcome. Simple and efficient cuisine. Fresh and varied buffet. Varied menu. Very good quality homemade fried meat and fresh salad. Excellent homemade desserts too. A first visit and certainly not the last.

09/07/2026: I won't say much, except that it's very good, the portion size is just right. The owner and his partner are very friendly. The previous owner who's helping them out is really kind of her to be passing the torch and supporting them as much as possible. They make a great team. You can go there without hesitation.

25/03/2026: It's a real shame they don't respect the opening hours. I arrived at the door at 9:05 PM and the light was already off, the floor had been mopped, and the person there was busy locking up. Apart from that, the staff were very friendly and welcoming.

28/02/2026: I'd been to this bar several times for a drink and to buy my lottery tickets, and honestly, I'm very disappointed by the behavior of the owner and his waitress, who are incredibly condescending. I won't be going back; they've lost a loyal customer. 😑❌

25/05/2026: Pentecost Dovecote. Last year they won the best dovecote competition; this year, with the one we bought, they would have finished last, if that. Even the "Dovecote" inscription on the cake was so strong that it was so soaked in sugar syrup (no alcohol) that it stained our clothes. It tasted like eating a rum baba, without the rum. Today it was a little less soggy; the fridge dried it out, but there was a huge hair in it, and I must admit I didn't appreciate that. 10 slices, €50.

08/09/2026: I went to this bar because I was passing through during my visit to Douai. Coffee was €1.90 and a glass of water was €0.30. The person behind the bar wasn't very friendly. The owner was nicer; when he arrived at the café, he shook hands with all the customers.

12/05/2026: Dirty café frequented by unsavory characters, and the owners are very unpleasant and disdainful. I advise against eating there unless you want to get sick. The drinks are subpar. Avoid at all costs.

07/09/2026: Definitely avoid this place. The rating absolutely does not reflect the quality of the food or the restaurant.

28/06/2026: One year later, the same observation. A real tourist trap! Gasoline 6 cents more expensive than on the island? For the champion of the cheapest, find the flaw in that logic.

07/08/2026: A lovely little snack bar in a beautiful setting. Simple but good, and above all, affordable! We found the paninis very good. A very warm welcome, which was a pleasure. And very little waiting time!

27/07/2026: The cook is very unpleasant: he doesn't respond to greetings and goodbyes and clearly gives the impression of not wanting to be there. The woman who appears to be his partner is equally unwelcoming. Fortunately, the rest of the staff is kind, polite, and pleasant, which somewhat redeems the experience. The waffle is generous.
