For the past two months, they've been telling you the same thing about the lunch menu not working either, supposedly a problem with the paperwork, etc.... And I think the area manager talks to you like you're a thug... In short, Ange is much better in Portet

Then they go outside to chat with colleagues... A serious lack of politeness and respect towards customers. A sad observation...

25/05/2026: I stayed at the Campanile Troyes Est - Barberey and, unfortunately, the experience was quite frustrating overall. The main problem was that the hotel's air conditioning compressor was broken, meaning none of the air conditioning units were working. I was informed that the repair wouldn't be completed for at least a week, making the rooms extremely uncomfortable during the hot weather. Under normal circumstances, I would have simply changed hotels, but their cancellation policy essentially locks you out after the first 24 hours unless you opted for a more expensive cancellation option when booking. This detail, in my opinion, wasn't made clear enough at the time of booking. In addition to this, the room had several maintenance issues. The bathroom wall had visible cracks, and the toilet seat remained cracked for the entire first week before finally being replaced during the second week. Another drawback: there is no elevator. If you have heavy luggage, expect to have to carry it up and down stairs. I also had to pay for nights I ultimately didn't use, as I had to leave over the weekend with no possibility of changing or canceling the reservation. The staff were generally polite, but the overall condition of the property, the lack of maintenance, the absence of working air conditioning, and the very rigid booking policy made for a disappointing stay. The Wi-Fi was also very slow and frequently disconnected completely. I highly recommend checking the air conditioning status and carefully reading the cancellation policy before booking, especially during hot weather. 15/05/2026: Hello, the vending machine was very nice but I was a little disappointed to get a Kinder Bueno that expired in November 2025, so naturally the good taste of Kinder Bueno wasn't there…

13/08/2026: Had some nice pastis, then burgers and write with beers. Simple, adequate and not too dear. Good service. Pleasantly seated by a fan.

05/08/2026: Very warm welcome from the staff, very friendly, I highly recommend this restaurant. I recommend the sharing platter at €38 (all inclusive). Very generous portion for four people.

17/08/2026: The welcome is mixed, and the scratch-off games are too often unreliable. Sometimes the staff aren't very friendly. Two stars, and that's being generous. Plus, if you ask for a €3 scratch-off, they charge you for a €5 one, lol. Losing as always. Don't go back here.

10/06/2026: I don't smoke or drink coffee, but I have all my packages sent there because they're very friendly, have great opening hours, and are also very close to my home... a huge thank you for their efficiency and kindness

30/09/2026: We received a very warm welcome when we ordered dinner this evening. We each chose the buffet menu (limited in terms of choice) but it was good and simple. Our main course was homemade shepherd's pie with green salad, a generous portion, and I should mention it was a small one… Dessert was a fruit cup with homemade fresh syrups. At €19.80 x 2, I think it's a bit pricey for this meal in a truck stop.

10/06/2026: Lunchtime, I ordered the buffet with an omelet, but I ended up with onions in the omelet, which wasn't listed on the menu. The owner still charged me even though I hadn't eaten anything. I did get a €3 discount, and to top it all off, everyone who ate with me that lunchtime—eight people from my company—got sick. P.S.: You have to like flies because they're part of the tasteless dishes. I absolutely do not recommend this establishment.

03/02/2026: Excellent lunch, both in terms of quantity and quality. Very reasonable price. I recommend this place. (January 2026, this restaurant is said to have closed, however, a new owner might take over the business 🤞)

17/11/2025: Very pleasant, a simple yet effective formula...very reasonable price, friendly staff. Just one small point for improvement: You shouldn't be thirsty; one carafe for 7 people is barely enough, and when it's empty, you have to ask for it again and again...

13/05/2026: As a regular at both the restaurant and salad bar, here are my comments: - Restaurant: I highly recommend it. The dishes are tasty and made with good ingredients, with some options that are a bit different from the usual fare. The service is good and the wait is reasonable! It's great to have a restaurant like this in the neighborhood. - Salad bar: The ingredients seem fresh and the pre-prepared dishes are quite good and varied. However, my disappointment with the salad bar is growing with each visit, as the portions are getting smaller and smaller. On my last visit, I could barely see the bottom of my container, even though I chose a pasta base and selected four ingredients. I found that rather meager (it's usually quite generous). At the price of the salad, you expect to be satisfied, which is increasingly less the case. Thank you for taking this negative point into account and best of luck.

10/09/2026: I was hesitant to go to this restaurant because of the reviews, but my experience was completely positive. The waiter was extremely polite and patient with us, and the food was great. We ordered the duck, onion soup, and a meat dish, and everything was delicious. The restaurant also has happy hour from 5 pm to 8 pm with great drink options for $6 and very generous glasses of wine. Many people go to Paris and don't even bother to say they don't speak French, assuming everyone speaks/should speak English. This is a big mistake and may be the main reason for the dissatisfaction reported in some reviews. Starting an interaction with "Bonjour, je ne parle pas français" and then starting to speak English can significantly change the experience.
