Auberge les 2 pierres
Migne
16/08/2026: Going to Pierre's is like being at home. Everyone is welcome! The owner has a unique knack for greeting every customer with good humor and a generous heart! It's an unpretentious place, simple and friendly! The food reflects the owner: simple and generous! And for lovers of cold beer, a pint of lager is less than €6, so don't hesitate to go!
05/08/2026: A truly wonderful place that I highly recommend. The welcome is warm, the service attentive, and you immediately feel at ease.
The dishes are generous, delicious, and prepared with care, all at an excellent price.
An authentic establishment where you're always guaranteed a great time. Thank you to Pierre Renaud and his entire team!

Le Kyoto
Toulouse
28/08/2026: So, it's good, even very good in some cases (the Périgord pork skewers were delicious). There's no doubt that everything is homemade. Everything is extremely fresh.
Which brings me to the main issue: the chef is alone in the kitchen and the dining room, so you'd better not be in a hurry!
One starter, one main course, 2.5 hours.
Okay, we hadn't made a reservation, but there were only two other people when we arrived at 7:30 pm!
The dining room is a bit dated (paint with drips, light fixtures coming loose from the ceiling).
As for the prices, €8 for miso soup, €17 for three skewers with white rice—I'll let you be the judge.
21/08/2026: An authentic Japanese restaurant with handmade maki rolls at very reasonable prices. The chef was attentive and very funny. We had lunch on the small terrace at the back of the restaurant, surrounded by greenery and koi ponds. I highly recommend it.

Café Rhubarbe
Porte-Saint-Denis, Paris
13/08/2026: A wonderful discovery in Bayonne! A tiny coffee shop, just the way we like them, with a truly fantastic terrace along the Nive River. We had a great time, both for the setting and for everything we enjoyed.
The welcome was incredibly friendly, everything was excellent, and the place has real charm. Honestly, a place worth discovering; we'll definitely be back!
08/08/2026: We had a wonderful time at Café Rhubarbe. It's in a great location. But the best part is the coffee and the delicious homemade pastries! The atmosphere is also very cozy 💖.

Toscana Lille
Lille, 20-30€
11/08/2026: Top-notch service, impeccable welcome, 👍
I was blown away by the incredible selection! A fantastic place when you're hungry and love good food that's prepared with care 😜 The Chick'N Beef Bowl is amazing, and with a Big'N Beef, it's pure bliss...
25/07/2026: I'm never going back. Honestly, it breaks my heart what this fast-food place has become. And God knows I've been coming here since it opened.
Seriously, take down the "flame-grilled" claim from your advertising. Maybe it was true two or three years ago, but now you just throw them in a pan, cardboard and all. There's no other explanation. Even the bun was too dry/overcooked.
And the service has become a complete disaster. Gone are the days of the chef with a few gray hairs in the back who took such good care of you. Now I go in and ask for "a BIG glass of water, please," and the guy says "a glass of water?" and brings me water in a small coffee cup even though there are plenty of large plastic cups right there. Come on, bro, make an effort. I didn't even want to talk to him; I went to the bathroom several times afterward to refill my water glass.
To give you an idea of how neglected it is, there's even a chair leg still stuck to the floor, missing the foam/leather seat, so it's just covered in orange tape. It's a small detail, but when the food and service are terrible, you pay attention to the equally terrible chair.
It's disgusting; this fast food place used to be a gem.
I recommend going to the Chicken Beef at République or Lille Flandres instead, but this one needs to close; it's damaging the brand's image.
I'll remind you that I was a loyal customer; I'm not just talking nonsense. I genuinely enjoyed this fast food place. Even though I wasn't expecting anything anymore, I often went back to check if it was just a one-off or something, but no, you've really lost interest.
Signed: the annoying guy who ate a light maxi-cheese with cheese sauce more than three times a week.

01/09/2026: Our first visit to this traditional restaurant was a very pleasant surprise. We enjoyed a lovely shaded terrace and savored every bite of our meal, from appetizer to dessert, with very friendly staff. The value for money is excellent, and we will gladly return.

Rôtisserie chez Rocky
Quimper
12/08/2026: I discovered southern Finistère 15 years ago while visiting my in-laws. I fell in love with it and go back whenever I can. In those 15 years, my wife and I have discovered many excellent crêperies.
"Chez Mamie" is a little gem we wish we had discovered sooner.
The savory buckwheat crêpes are excellent, crispy, just the way we like them. And the sweet crêpes are equally delicious. Special mention for the homemade frangipane. A must-try! Remember to book.
11/08/2026: A lovely restaurant just steps from the train station, tucked away in a quiet cul-de-sac. The menu features 100% local fare, including freshly made buckwheat and wheat crêpes, topped with everything! A special mention goes to the "Complètement" crêpe! It's a shame we didn't get to try the dessert menu, but the homemade lace crêpe served with our coffee was a real treat. We'll definitely be back next time we're in Quimper. Thanks to the whole team!

le cochon bleu
Avignon
30/08/2026: Restaurant located within the walled city of Avignon, about 500 meters from the Palace of the Popes. Service was on the terrace as there was no air conditioning. The waiter was very attentive, and despite being Spanish, we were able to communicate in English and French.
We ordered the set menu, which includes a starter, main course, and dessert for 39 euros. The St. Jacques coquilles are highly recommended as a starter; they were excellent. For our main courses, we ordered braised pork cheeks and a quenelle of fish, both delicious. The desserts, both the profiterole and the rum baba (with the option to customize the rum to your liking), were generous and also very good.
The price is perfectly reasonable for what is offered: homemade and tasty food. Highly recommended.
22/08/2026: Great stopover, small outdoor terrace, quality product and well-made

Mak Sushi
Jouars-Pontchartrain
06/05/2026: The delivery was quick and the driver was very friendly, but the rice, soup, and salad portions were cut in half. No nougat, no more than six packets of soy sauce, and the sashimi was cut increasingly thin. The restaurant isn't bad, but it has declined significantly in quality. I understand inflation and all that, but still...
26/04/2026: Perfect, we are regulars and for several years now I have had nothing to complain about, it's always perfect!

Kushikatsu Bon
Folie-Méricourt, Paris
02/08/2026: If kindness was a treat, Kushikatsu Bon would be a candy shop.
The food, the ambiance, and especially the service were amazing. The people working at this place are very attentive, and the whole experience feels tailored to each person. My girlfriend asked for a different kushikatsu and the waitress took time with her to find which remplaceement would be the best. Also, at some point my girlfriend dropped a piece (not even the whole kushikatsu) of wagyu beef on the floor, and the waitress immediatly asked for another one for free !
The food quality was great, prepared with a lot of care, and very tasteful. The food we had there was completely different from what we usually eat, yet we enjoyed it to the fullest.
Thank you for this experience !
30/07/2026: We had a wonderful evening; the staff were very friendly and attentive. The tasting took place in several courses, everything was absolutely delicious, and the atmosphere was very welcoming.

Que Pour Les Gourmands
Plaine-Monceau, Paris
29/06/2026: As usual, the food is fresh, tasty, and well-balanced. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. The service can sometimes be a little slow, but it's worth the wait.
03/06/2026: An ode to real cuisine, when a chef's passion awakens weary travelers.
After a two-hour TGV ride from Lyon and a grueling thirty-minute walk to the hotel, fatigue was setting in. We all know that lazy temptation: skipping dinner, nibbling on a piece of processed plastic, or giving in to the ease of yet another soulless, standardized takeout. Fortunately, the intuition of the receptionist at my hotel led me to an address just a short walk away: Que pour les gourmands (Only for Food Lovers). A promise, she whispers, where customers always return with a smile on their face. I can confirm, and how!
Crossing the threshold without a reservation and being greeted with such kindness and immediate authenticity is already the beginning of the journey. Faced with a menu of incredibly tempting choices, hesitation is a delicious torture.
My heart first melts for the starter: duck spring rolls. The plates arrive, veritable spring paintings. Visually, it's a marvel of contrasts, but it's in the mouth that the magic happens. Imagine the crisp, golden, and perfectly textured pastry that yields to the bite, releasing the richness of confit duck. The orange slices bring a vibrant, almost theatrical acidity, while the strands of spice intertwine on the plate like musical notes. It's a perfect balance, pure poetry where sweet and savory converse beautifully with a touch of sweet and sour. A boldness that instantly awakens the senses.
True to my theme for the evening, I continue with the chef's variation: a revisited duck Parmentier. Plated with impeccable precision, the dish is presented as a dome of golden purée, crowned with a crisp tuile that seems to watch over the treasure beneath. The comforting sweetness of the potato, accentuated by a sprinkle of aromatic herbs, perfectly complements the robust flavor and character of the shredded duck. The freshness of a crisp salad with bursts of vegetables lightens this monument of indulgence.
And then there's that suspended moment. That gesture that separates restaurateurs from artists. The chef, with pure intuition, senses my gourmet nature and bestows upon me a divine, off-menu treat: a homemade Malagasy sauce. An explosion of flavors, a journey within a journey. This unexpected wink to discerning palates proves one thing: this chef doesn't just cook, he listens, he feels, he shares.
In the midst of this gastronomic communion, my gaze fell upon a wall inscription, a heart-shaped text reminding us that "the greatest wealth is family." Everything becomes clear. Here, cooking is done as a family, with heart, for the human family of passing gourmets. At a time when junk food is everywhere, this restaurant is a bastion of resistance, reassuring us that great, good cuisine still exists. A sublime experience. Thank you for your artistry and generosity; you made my Parisian evening truly magnificent!
