29/03/2026: I visited “Bistro des Augustins” during my stay in Paris and overall had a mixed experience. The restaurant itself is quite small. There are roughly 10 tables in total and the space can accommodate no more than about 20 people. The main downside is how close the tables are placed to one another. Guests are practically seated side by side, which makes the environment rather noisy and lacking in privacy. In my case, an English couple was seated right next to me and they were constantly arguing and speaking loudly, creating an extremely disruptive atmosphere throughout the meal. The staff consists of only 2 people, who act both as servers and cooks at the same time. Despite being clearly busy, they were very polite, friendly, and welcoming, which was definitely a positive aspect of the experience. The food menu is somewhat limited in terms of variety, with nearly half of it consisting of different gratin dishes. Portion sizes were relatively generous, and the taste was good overall, although nothing particularly stood out as exceptional. On the positive side, the prices are quite reasonable, especially considering that this is a Parisian bistro. In summary, Bistro des Augustins offers decent food and friendly service at fair prices, but the very small space and the lack of separation between tables can significantly affect the overall dining experience.

01/03/2026: I had a duo meal delivered to my home last night. The delivery went very smoothly and the presentation was lovely. The sushi was fresh, but the rice was a bit dry, which detracted from the enjoyment. The recipes are quite classic and lack originality. It was okay, but nothing particularly memorable or exceptional considering the price. Overall, a decent experience, nothing more.
