20/09/2026: We had a wonderful time as a family at the Hotel Marchal in Hohwald. The welcome, the evening meal, and the breakfast were all excellent! The owner and his team are lovely and very friendly. An ideal starting point for walks!

19/09/2026: Passing through the area, we stayed one night at the Hotel Marchal. No complaints whatsoever. The room was clean with a comfortable bed. The half-board meal was excellent. Dinner was generous and beautifully presented. Breakfast was also plentiful. The owner was very kind and professional. Highly recommended if you're in the area.

05/06/2026: Very good, very friendly staff. Don't listen to people who say it has no taste; it's a small shop, it's made with love! Excellent Asian sandwich with bubble tea for €10. I also had a mimosa rice dish for €3.50, so it came to €13.50. I thoroughly enjoyed it without breaking the bank. I highly recommend it.

29/05/2026: Must eat here if you like Vietnamese! I got the pork sandwich and the spring roll. The sandwich was perfect! The meat was tender, and super tasty full of flavors. The baguette was very crunchy and it was filled with red cabbage, and other herbs…all super fresh ingredients. ❤️ Sauces of the spring roll was w chunks of peanuts. All homemade. It’s a very small shop, take away only but it made it all that much better to sit on a bench and just focus on the flavors. I accidentally discovered this place passing by but the place had a humble great vibe, so I took a chance. I’m so happy I did. Don’t let the simplicity of the place hold you back, it’s definitely made a love and is worth trying a great authentic Vietnamese meal for 10 euros. 😳 (Pork sandwich and chicken+shrimp Spring rolls). Sorry for lack of photos. It cut me by a surprise. 😂

30/03/2026: The pizza was very good, the service was impeccable, the owner is very pleasant, and the food was excellent.

22/08/2026: On August 13, 2026, we stopped at Auberge La Dormilhosa for a coffee break. We received a wonderful welcome from the owner, who was warm and friendly. The setting is beautiful, and the cappuccino and homemade blueberry tart were delicious. We will definitely return and highly recommend this lovely inn.

17/08/2026: The owners are incredibly friendly and the home-style cooking is delicious (surprise menu). Reservations are essential. We managed with very little French or German spoken. Excellent regional wines. A truly unique and wonderful experience.

05/09/2026: An absolutely extraordinary experience! We loved our visit to this unique place. Everything is designed to take you away from the everyday, from the elegant decor to the overall atmosphere. The staff is very welcoming and takes the time to explain the history of this magical place. A real gem that I wholeheartedly recommend.

18/07/2026: The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with chic and modern decor that makes you want to eat. Accessibility is also excellent, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The service is quick and efficient, with no problems or long waits.

29/05/2026: We spent three days on a half-board basis with a group of 16 hikers. Everything was perfect. From the friendly welcome and attentive service, to the delicious and generous meals, the newly renovated rooms, and the hotel grounds with inviting sun loungers for relaxing after a hike. So I highly recommend "Le Ban de l'Ours".

09/08/2026: We stayed in Monein while passing through and stumbled upon this cozy restaurant by chance. The service was very friendly and the food was delicious. We had the ham croquettes, calamari, and fried prawns as starters. For the main course, we had the Caesar salad, sirloin steak, and steak with fries. The desserts were also delicious (warm chocolate cake with crème anglaise and tiramisu prepared in various ways). Highly recommended!
