Upon your arrival, Mr. Blanc welcomes you with natural elegance, taking the time for a brief conversation that sets the tone for a refined experience. The cuisine expresses a rare continuity and expertise: heir to three generations of great "mothers" of gastronomy, Georges Blanc highlights the local terroir of Bresse with an approach that balances tradition and creative renewal. The restaurant's long-standing distinction, with Michelin stars since 1929, makes it one of the oldest continuously awarded restaurants in the world, confirming its level of excellence. The dishes highlight high-quality products, such as the famous Bresse poultry and local specialties, through excellent technique and deep knowledge of sauces, a signature element of the cuisine. At the same time, the impressive cellar — with tens of thousands of bottles — allows for exceptionally balanced food and wine pairings. 14/04/2026: A wonderful discovery! A very warm and attentive welcome right through to the end of the meal. An intimate restaurant with only a few tables, which made it very quiet; perfect for a meal for two. The dishes were delicious. Just one small complaint: the main course wasn't piping hot (it had already cooled down). The portions were generous. I had booked in advance, but there were still plenty of seats available.

23/04/2026: Mixed bag. Was lovely sitting outside on the street sharing wine and some snacks from the menu. Gyoza, tinned sardines and cheese. Enjoyed it very much. Went back couple of days later and ate inside. The bavette steak was awful. Way undercooked - raw pretty much and drowning in sauce. Chips were rubbish too and the service was rude and unhelpful. Wouldn’t ever go back to eat - but a nice place to sit on the street and drink and watch the world go by.

20/04/2026: This isn't my first time eating here, and it's always a great experience. This time, I had the flank steak: it was cooked rare, and as usual, the meat was excellent, tender, and flavorful. For dessert, I shared their famous tiramisu with a colleague—it was as delicious as ever—as well as a crème brûlée… a real treat from start to finish!

28/04/2026: We had the most spectacular seafood platter at this restaurant last night. Everything was delicious but I am impressed the whelks were done so superbly. Apparently they steamed them instead of boiling them and they put cloves with it. The texture and taste were wonderful. I know whelks are not to everyone’s taste but it is worth trying a few. The oysters were fresh and sweet. Prawns and spider crabs are also of very good standard. We had the most amazing white wine too, if you feel like splashing out for a treat. That is the white wine to go for with the seafood. After a good amount of seafood, we decided we needed to have desserts. The desserts were just as good. The staff were very friendly and professional. Service was at a very good pace. We weren’t rushed and we had good space of time between courses. I recommend that you book ahead either by phone or email. The restaurant does get busy. It was a Wednesday evening we went and it was full. The seafood platter was out of this worldly good.

04/04/2026: Lovely atmosphere under this 1930s pergola in this small village, far from the crowds. A delicious meal at a reasonable price.

20/03/2026: Friendly welcome, a few empty and cold mussels, problem solved immediately by the waitress who brought a hot plate full of fresh mussels! The Pluma was excellent! The fries were fantastic! The only thing missing was seeing some famous actors! Go there...!

01/05/2026: Okay, the crepes were just as good as the mussels. The owner and waiter were fantastic, very attentive. The owner even gave each member of her team a lovely arrangement of lily of the valley before service—a nice touch.
