18/06/2026: A last-minute craving: to enjoy spaghetti and lobster on the terrace in an atmosphere reminiscent of Ajaccio in the 70s and 80s. A successful evening. We laughed at our wobbly tables, even though they were lovingly set: there was plenty of room to put elbows, to sit side-by-side, even as a couple. It must be said that we excel at this: we always end up at the wobbly table, no matter the restaurant. That little anecdote aside, we appreciated everything: the generosity was evident from the moment we arrived until we left. Tino Rossi at the entrance and Aznavou at the exit—even the playlist was respectful of the decor. Here, everything has been designed to make you feel at home. Now, the dish... Unique in many ways. It's a single-course menu: but WHAT DISH? We had already tried lobster in Bonifacio, Bastia la Citadelle, and Centuri, but the generosity, taste, and freshness of this offering take the prize! A delicious moment from beginning to end... We will definitely be back.

30/06/2026: A real pleasure for my first visit! A charming, welcoming, and always smiling owner who immediately puts you at ease. Special mention also goes to the chef for his steak tartare, which is absolutely divine! Okay… I'm still giving it 5 stars, even if there are bits of lemon in the lemon sorbet… 😄 (Just kidding, the owner will understand right away!). An excellent place that I recommend without hesitation. See you very soon!

01/05/2026: A wonderful hotel right next to the Cité and in the heart of Carcassonne. The rooms are fantastic and the staff is exceptionally friendly. The small but excellent continental breakfast is prepared with great care and is very reasonably priced at €18. Thank you for everything!

We highly recommend this restaurant for its delicious cuisine at a very reasonable price (from aperitif to dessert, including coffee and wine). We had a wonderful time.

06/04/2026: I am leaving this review with utter disgust! I've been a customer for at least 20 years! I learned by chance (while passing by) that the health inspectors had come and closed the establishment. The problem is quite serious for me... numerous issues, from improper food storage to an uncleaned kitchen, etc. The worst part? Pests are roaming around. In some establishments, problems can arise, but here, they serve customers with all these shortcomings? For us, it's a lack of respect for customers (especially those who have been coming regularly for years). From now on, we will definitely avoid this restaurant. Eric and Cathy Pastuszka

08/07/2025: Higuma is and remains a true institution. I always sit down in front of the kitchens, alone or with someone else. It's always a treat (summer and winter). The welcome, the smile, the responsiveness, the service, and the cleanliness are all there. It's a shame that customers don't always fully appreciate this institution, probably due to the cafeteria feel. Thank you again, and see you soon.

28/05/2026: An absolutely perfect stay! ✨️ The overnight stay with dinner and breakfast was a first for us, the staff were incredibly attentive throughout, the amenities provided exceeded our expectations, and we left feeling completely refreshed! The complimentary bottle of chilled water for our journey home was especially appreciated in this heat 🥰
