Everything was perfect: the welcome, the service, the cooking, etc. I highly recommend the steak with porcini mushroom sauce—it's absolutely delicious! 🥩😋👍 I hope to return soon. 23/08/2026: Nice place, pleasant setting. We had tarte flambée. It was excellent. The quality and quantity of the ingredients were spot on. The service was top-notch, the staff very friendly. A year later we went back, the atmosphere was still fantastic and the staff just as friendly. I ate one of the best meat dishes I've ever had in a restaurant.

20/08/2026: Nice bar. You do have to move to be served, but at least you don't have to flag down a waiter and you pay immediately. Good selection of draft beers, especially the Gasconia. Nice wine list. Friendly staff and a large terrace.

05/08/2026: This restaurant was highly recommended! We had a fantastic meal. The value for money was excellent. They gave us a very warm welcome and the service was incredibly attentive. The miso soup was delicious! We also loved the sashimi and gyoza.

16/05/2026: Excellent stay at the Hotel Les Jardins de Beauval! The hotel is ideally located, just 5 minutes from the Beauval Zoo/Safari Park, which is incredibly convenient. The rooms are very clean, quiet, and perfectly soundproofed, allowing you to truly relax after a day of sightseeing. The dinner and breakfast buffets are very varied and of excellent quality. There really is something for everyone, both adults and children. A special mention goes to Kevin at reception, who was exceptional throughout our stay: very attentive, kind, and professional. With two young children, we felt welcomed with kindness and without any judgment, unlike some experiences we sometimes have in other hotels. We recommend this hotel without hesitation and will gladly return to enjoy the pool!

16/05/2026: Great welcome, the hotel is magnificent, the setting is really soothing, the rooms are spacious and quiet, and the bar makes great cocktails. I recommend the Beauval gardens, we are a 5 minute walk from the zoo so no need to take the car.

31/07/2026: We had a wonderful dinner at L’École du Chêne in Gargas and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Provence or the Apt area. The menu was brilliantly adapted to the season — and even to the heatwave — with dishes that felt light, clever, and perfectly suited to the exceptional hot weather. We both started with the vitello tonnato, followed by the tataki de bœuf: tender, beautifully marinated, and full of the thoughtful flavours Matthieu is known for. The wine list is exceptional and great value. I practically lost my husband to it for half the evening — it’s that good. Déborah & Matthieu, with the lovely Barbara helping them, create such a warm, relaxed, down‑to‑earth atmosphere. Their new setting in the old schoolhouse is charming: cool indoors for hot evenings, and outside under the trees it feels wonderfully romantic. We finished with the blackcurrant sorbet and apricot dessert, both sublime. A fantastic restaurant, excellent value, and a team who truly care. We’re delighted to see them thriving in Gargas.

23/08/2026: For many years, we had a ritual of stopping at Titou's in Meze. Friday, August 21, 2026, will certainly be the last. The initial welcome was cold, though it did warm up later, but the food was subpar. For example, the crab was frozen but poorly thawed, with some areas still warm and others still frozen. In short, it was a real letdown. We had recommended this place to family in the spring, who were also disappointed. A shame, but no hard feelings!
