20/05/2026: A great place to discover in Lyon. A nice concept and delicious dishes. A superb find between the train station and Old Lyon. The chef also takes care regarding gluten. I highly recommend it.

16/03/2026: The food is always good, and the owner is very friendly. They have a small menu with two daily specials, and the chef is good. Reservations are recommended.

26/07/2026: Lunch today, the welcome and service were impeccable. The main course was good, but I was very disappointed with the desserts. Paying €9.50 for a slice of brioche, some bland chocolate that tasted like water, and a scoop of ice cream is outrageous. It requires no cooking or preparation at all; at that price, you can find excellent and delicious desserts in other restaurants. I'm not sure I'll be back.

15/06/2026: We had a wonderful experience at Les Petits Plats. They were one of the few places open late on a Monday, and from the outside the restaurant looked nearly closed, like much of the town that evening. The folks sitting outside offered us the table in front of them and the evening really began. The chef was witty, charming, and absolutely hilarious throughout the evening. And most importantly, he can truly cook. We enjoyed an outstanding three-course meal at one of the most reasonable prices we encountered anywhere in France. Every course was excellent, from the fresh salads to the perfectly prepared fish and chicken dishes. I cannot recommend Les Petits Plats highly enough. You’ll have a memorable evening, eat exceptionally well, and leave happy, full, and smiling.

18/07/2026: We used to come to this restaurant and had fond memories of it. But since the change of ownership, it's not the same at all. I ordered frog legs, which were served without a warming tray. So they got cold as the meal progressed. When the waiter offered to reheat them, I declined; it was too late. Several of my friends ordered fish, but it had an unpleasant odor, which made us seriously doubt its freshness. We mentioned it several times, but the management didn't respond. Throughout the entire evening, the owner never approached us, neither to apologize nor to acknowledge any problem. The atmosphere was truly unpleasant, with numerous flies and a general din. The desserts didn't improve things either. The chocolate fondant in the gourmet coffee seemed stale and tasteless. It's all the more disappointing because we used to really love this place. We sincerely hope that the quality of the food, the service, and the atmosphere will soon return to the level that made this restaurant so renowned.

17/07/2026: A truly beautiful place. A wonderful discovery with our best friends 🥰. We enjoyed an evening sharing and savoring delicious dishes. The cooking was perfect, and the presentation was impeccable (we wouldn't have minded a little more portion size, and perhaps avoiding mopping up the delicious sauce with bread). We felt completely transported to this secluded spot. The fifth star for the overall rating would have been awarded if: - the portions had been a bit more generous - the rosé wine we chose was served not chilled. - the prices were a little high.

Not forgetting the warm welcome from everyone at the Grand Hôtel who assisted me throughout this process.

30/06/2026: A beautiful setting, but the cuisine, while refined, lacked a bit of flavor. The meal was served in eight courses. The meat was a little dry. The service wasn't perfect; we didn't order cocktails, but they were brought to us. We refused them, yet we were still charged. The error was corrected at the register, but it leaves a mixed impression of the establishment's professionalism.

14/06/2026: As a customer for 20 years, I'd always been quite satisfied until tonight. I ordered the Ardéchoise pizza with caillette (a type of sausage), which I hadn't ordered in a while. Well, the topping has changed drastically. Instead of generous chunks of caillette arranged in a row, there are now small cubes resembling olives scattered here and there. You can tell they weighed it down to the gram to maximize profit. What a shame! The potato, which is obviously cheaper, was still there.

05/06/2026: The best pizzeria! Even the next day the pizza is just as good as the day before. I highly recommend it.

05/07/2026: Wow! Perfect. Sublime. Rare in these touristy spots. Set menu at €32. The Camembert andouille was to die for. The fish was cooked to perfection. The mature cheeses were succulent. The service was relaxed yet professional. Thank you, Peter. We highly recommend it. A successful family meal. Thank you. Always a reliable choice.

29/06/2026: Oh dear, we both had a Caesar salad, but the meat was a kind of nugget (of turkey). Greasy and not flavorful for a salad. The presentation of the salad was nice, though. For dessert, I had a 'special' with fresh strawberries and sugar, but these were thawed strawberries. Really not okay. What was nice, though: I didn't have to pay for it. But it just wasn't a flavorful dinner.

20/07/2026: Good value for money. We enjoyed the mussels Provençal and with chorizo, which were delicious. The fries were amazing, and that's coming from a Belgian! 😁 A very good place.

08/07/2026: Picked this place over another because it had air con on a stiffiling hot week. Found it quite strange at first having to wait till 6pm to check in cos they close at 3pm during the day. The room was a nice spacious and clean room just not to our taste in decour, it was painted dark grey all over, but was very comfy especially the bed. We didn't partake in the evening meal as the dining room shut very early around 7.30 to 8pm ish. The staff were fine did there job, although didn't really see them very much.
