We had dinner there in the evening and then breakfast the next morning, and everything was truly excellent quality, with very reasonable prices! But what impressed us most was undoubtedly the exceptional welcome from the entire team. Every member of staff was attentive, smiling, kind, and always ready to make our stay enjoyable. It's genuinely heartwarming to see, especially in a time when such kindness is unfortunately becoming increasingly rare. We have an 11-month-old baby, and there's even a high chair available. He was very comfortable in it, and the staff were so kind to our little one, which really touched us. Thank you! ✨ A special mention goes to Manon, who showed remarkable gentleness, patience, and kindness towards us. Their professionalism and kindness truly contributed to making our experience even more enjoyable. Honestly, we didn't encounter a single unpleasant person during our stay; quite the opposite, in fact. The entire team deserves to be commended for their warm welcome and excellent service. 18/06/2026: We chose Cacaothé for our wedding brunch, and we couldn't have dreamed of anything better! For us, it's simply the best brunch in Périgueux, so having them by our side for this event was a real joy. Everything was delicious, generous, and beautifully presented, with high-quality coffee and original drinks. Special mention goes to the iced caramel latte—a superb discovery! Although there were only two of them, they provided outstanding service: arriving well in advance to set up, efficient, smiling, and incredibly kind throughout the day. One detail we particularly appreciated: at the end of brunch, they went out of their way to carefully pack up all the leftovers so we could enjoy them afterward. Our guests loved it, and we received many compliments. A huge thank you to Cacaothé for their professionalism and kindness. We can't wait to come back for brunch!

29/06/2026: During a weekend filled with memories in our childhood village, my sister and I stopped at this restaurant, and we absolutely don't regret our choice. We tried the frogs' legs, a local specialty, and they were simply excellent! The food was generous and full of flavor. The setting is magnificent, on the banks of the Chalaronne River, ideal for a pleasant meal. A big thank you also to the waitress for her kindness and smile, as well as to the chef for her excellent work. A truly wonderful place that we highly recommend. We will definitely be back!

However, we were disappointed by the manager's very cold welcome (no smile, no "Thank you," we felt like we were bothering her). It was also strange that she came to smoke a meter away from me and my children; OK, we were on the terrace, but it was quite disrespectful.

03/07/2026: The dishes were of very good quality. I had a 300g ribeye steak that I devoured, and my partner had an excellent forest rösti, although we felt it was a bit small for €22.50. The wine list is extensive, and the local produce is something we really appreciated. However, we had a slight issue with the service. We had to ask three times for a carafe of water, and we suspected the waiter at our table was overwhelmed. One of his colleagues quickly came to his aid and served us promptly after taking over. Overall, the meal, the quality of the food, and the service were, in our opinion, very reasonable.
