07/05/2026: Being gluten intolerant, it had been a long time since we'd been able to enjoy this type of cuisine. At Mao's, the menu is clear, with allergens listed, and the staff is sensitive to allergies and intolerances. We were even offered a special amuse-bouche, a thoughtful touch that made us feel more confident. The dishes were delicious (spring rolls, lemongrass beef, and filet mignon), and we experienced no symptoms.

05/05/2026: Two years ago, I left the following review: "Thai food made by Thais. Excellent. Delicious cocktails, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. Helpfulness and friendliness are on the menu." What a difference from my experience today! I called to reserve a table, knowing how busy this restaurant is at lunchtime on weekdays. I was given the choice between the counter and a high table, which I chose. So far, so good. When I arrived around 12:50 pm, there were only two people in the dining room, whereas it's usually packed. No one greeted me. There were only three of them... I wondered why there were so few customers. I was told they were all upstairs. I gave my name, saying I had a reservation. They wanted to seat me at the counter, even though I had reserved a high table. Finally, they told me that if I wanted a high table, it had to be the one next to the restrooms because all the others were reserved. Two people in the entire restaurant at almost 1 p.m., and no table for me? So I don't know what's going on. No one from the usual staff, no noise in the kitchen, whereas the place is usually bustling. Has the owner changed? I'll try again in a while because I've been going to this restaurant for ten years and I love it. In any case, if you go into this establishment and there's no noise and no many people seated, keep walking! P.S.: I just drove past the restaurant again. All the reserved tables are empty. A word to the wise...

26/05/2026: Ice cream machine not working, so order not fulfilled. A wasted trip since I only ordered ice cream; no compensation offered. Waste of time and gas.

26/05/2026: I placed an order on May 22nd with this restaurant for delivery via the McDonald's app. The order was never delivered, and I still haven't received a refund. I contacted the manager, explaining the situation and how difficult it was to have €30 less in my account at the end of the month. (Because, of course, I had to place another order with a competitor; I had to eat, after all.) The manager was understanding and told me to call back on the 26th if I hadn't been refunded and that he could do something about it. Finally, today, Tuesday the 26th, I called again, and they told me the manager wouldn't be there until Friday and that there was nothing they could do for me. It's ridiculous. Just to clarify, my order wasn't delivered because they closed the restaurant early due to staff shortages. Yet, no one seems to have the sense to stop online deliveries. I work in a hotel, and strangely enough, when there are exceptional closures, they deactivate online reservations.

10/05/2026: A prestigious Parisian restaurant housed in an elegant building within the Champs-Élysées. Led by Chef Yannick Alléno, it showcases the essence of French fine dining with lavish table settings, impeccable service, and technically dazzling cuisine.

02/05/2026: Incredible evening with an exceptional meal and excellent service, although the staff seemed a bit overworked and rushed, not calm enough in the end. However, I do have one suggestion to improve our future visit to this magnificent restaurant: we were seated inside, and the temperature was unbearable. I was surprised the architect didn't prioritize comfort for the guests; it's a basic requirement at this level. I recommend this place to all food lovers. 20/10/2025: Passing through Montreal to spend a few days in Paris. Very happy to experience a cuisine and atmosphere that takes us back to the popular restaurants of Algiers. Maybe a little pricey, but it was worth it. I'll definitely go back before my return!

09/06/2026: Very disappointing experience. We arrived at around 11:30 AM and wanted to sit down for lunch. The restaurant was already open, all tables were set up and ready, and there were available seats everywhere. However, instead of being welcomed or politely informed that the kitchen would only open at 12:00 PM, we were treated in a very unfriendly manner and effectively told to leave and come back half an hour later. We completely understand that kitchens have opening hours, but hospitality and basic courtesy should still apply. A simple and friendly explanation would have been enough. Instead, the interaction felt rude and unwelcoming, leaving us with a very negative first impression. After waiting in front of the restaurant for 30 minutes, we were told that they could not occupy the table for 2 people for only dessert - while the whole restaurant was empty. Unfortunately, customer service is just as important as the food, and based on our experience, we did not feel welcome at all.

09/12/2025: Very disappointed, the food was terrible... Packed in like sardines, no heating, served by a shaky young man. The food was barely fresh... Never again.

08/12/2025: A first for us on Saturday, December 6, 2025... A fantastic and incredibly friendly welcome, superb service, a very helpful owner, and incredibly generous portions... Everything was a delight for the taste buds. A €35 menu per person including champagne, starter, main course, dessert, white wine, and beer... Unbeatable price. We will definitely be back! 😜
