18/05/2026: We had been wanting to try Le Chien Jaune for a while, and we were absolutely not disappointed. To begin with, the decor, reminiscent of a 1930s Parisian bistro with its period furniture, is truly unique. Numerous objects are scattered throughout the dining room, adding a great deal of charm and a real sense of identity. We were seated at the back, near the kitchen, and despite the distance, we found the area near the entrance quite noisy. The mirrors and the layout of the room meant the sound echoed quite a bit. As for the menu, it was absolutely perfect from start to finish. A special mention goes to the chocolate mousse, which was truly excellent. I don't think I've ever had such a good mousse in a restaurant before… and I've certainly tried many! The service was also impeccable: quick, discreet, and with very clear explanations of the dishes. We will definitely be back.

20/05/2026: An address that's truly worth the detour. We had lunch at Le Figuier, opting for the three-course menu, and it was a truly delightful experience, one you won't easily forget. The cuisine is both elegant and generous, showcasing high-quality ingredients and meticulous attention to detail. Each dish reflects authentic expertise and a cuisine with soul. We had the privilege of speaking with the chef, who took the time to stop by our table. A fascinating man, with stories and a career path that make you want to know more. It's rare and precious to feel the personality of the chef so deeply. As for the setting, it's simply breathtaking. A unique atmosphere, an environment that invites you to linger. Le Figuier is one of those places you treasure and recommend without reservation.

18/04/2026: A very good, well-prepared lunch. A brasserie-style menu with an original set menu, "Le Bouillon," at €19. Friendly welcome and service. Large bay windows overlooking the Erdre river or outdoor seating. A place worth discovering.

17/05/2026: Passing through Saumur (we were the first ones there!), we were lucky enough to spend a very pleasant time at this restaurant on the banks of the Loire. Refined cuisine, very friendly atmosphere. A big thank you to Karine for her warm and welcoming hospitality. We will definitely be back.

05/05/2026: Family meal for 14 people, with a quote received in advance. We paid the bill and left the restaurant, but very quickly we questioned the total amount paid, approximately €700. After checking and complaining, we were told there had been an “error” in the quote sent by email, then informed that desserts were not included, even though the waiter had offered to replace desserts with coffee for those who wished. We were also told that at that price, we “weren’t getting a good deal.” This was followed by more than a month of follow-ups to obtain a refund, with repeated excuses to justify the delays (impossibility of making the transfer, waiting for the son, transfer problems, lack of funds, etc.). In the end, we received a partial refund of €200, and we let the children’s menus, which were charged at the adult menu price, go unaddressed. Given the facts and the numerous difficulties encountered in obtaining legal status, everything suggests that the situation was deliberately complicated. It's a shame, because the meal itself was decent. A very negative experience. Caution is strongly advised.

04/05/2026: Whenever we come to Saint-Tropez, we always have an aperitif at Le Sub, and have for a very long time! We've never been disappointed because we love this very authentic place, far removed from the glitz and glamour of Saint-Tropez. The welcome is always very friendly, and this time again we appreciated the special attention the manager gave us by finding us a lovely table near the terrace. These gestures, even if simple, always make a difference. Thank you for this wonderful time in this place steeped in history!

The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with a touch of vintage charm and a "homey" feel that evokes memories of meals at our grandparents' house. The homemade cuisine is delicious, generous, and prepared with top-quality ingredients. The lunch dishes are always flavorful, carefully crafted, and bursting with taste, featuring regional specialties, comforting dishes, and delightful combinations. You can truly taste the passion and love for homemade food in every dish. The tea room menu is just as appealing: fragrant teas, matcha, chai latte, cappuccino, macchiato, comforting hot chocolate… not to mention the homemade pastries and desserts that perfectly complement everything. A place brimming with sweetness and indulgence, where you come as much to enjoy a delicious meal as to have a truly wonderful time. 🤍 Highly recommended!!!

03/06/2026: A superb evening. The dishes (starter and main course) were delicious; I give it 5 stars. I only deducted one star for the dessert, which I found less impressive than the rest of the meal. Otherwise, I highly recommend it. The service was efficient and pleasant. And the decor is absolutely lovely. Don't let the first impression from the street be enough; it's not particularly impressive. But inside, a little escape awaits you.
