12/04/2026: A pleasant surprise near Place Castellane in the 6th arrondissement on Avenue du Prado. We had a cuttlefish pizza, a first for me. Fresh ingredients, friendly waiter in a simple but authentic setting – what more could you ask for in a pizzeria? I recommend it.

05/04/2026: Mixed experience… I’ve known this place for 15 years and never had a problem before… I ordered a tarte flambée without onions… it arrived piled high with onions, and the edges were almost entirely covered in cream and onions… oh well, no big deal. We ordered kidneys and a turkey escalope in a cream sauce with spaetzle… how to put it… the kidneys were undercooked and the turkey escalope was dry and tough… not great at all… I’m not entirely convinced by the homemade chocolate Dame Blanche, and there was hardly any chocolate at all… The welcome and service were great, the waitress was smiling and very kind, no complaints there… But let’s just say I’m disappointed… I won’t be going back anytime soon…

16/05/2026: Nice hotel in a lovely small village. The rooms are good, a bit small but big enough. The beds are good and so is the shower. The restaurant services good food. The staff is very friendly and knows what hospitality is.

13/05/2026: Very good establishment. A covered area for motorcycles (Thank you!) The rooms were comfortable and clean! We enjoyed the restaurant and the service was pleasant. However, being charged full price for a dessert instead of a set menu supplement without prior notice was a bit of a letdown.

28/04/2026: Honestly, the first time I saw Folie Douce, I couldn't believe I'd find a place like this in the middle of the mountains! The atmosphere is incredible (the video is from a very quiet day), there's a really festive energy, people speaking all kinds of languages, dancing, singing, and relaxing! If you're nearby, don't hesitate to go up, because it's a truly unique place.

13/05/2026: The renovations have been beautifully done, and the service is always friendly and trouble-free. However, there has been a significant decline in the upkeep of the premises and the overall hygiene of the dining area (see photo for example). How can such mold growth occur if the waste hasn't been there for at least several days? This is extremely disappointing, especially when bringing a child for an afternoon snack.

02/06/2026: We had a magical stay at Domaine du Gouverneur, a place where everything seems to come together to offer a relaxing and enjoyable getaway in the heart of the Dombes region. Our escape began with a reserved tee time on the magnificent Breuil course, meticulously prepared for the Oval Green competition taking place the following day. The course was perfectly maintained. We are always captivated by the panoramic views of the Dombes ponds and the local flora and fauna. After this round, played in the sweltering heat, we enjoyed a relaxing moment on the clubhouse terrace, ideal for cooling off while taking in the view of the estate. We then discovered our superior room, spacious, comfortable, and tastefully decorated. Its generous size makes it an excellent choice for a stay of several days. The hotel staff were warm, attentive, and professional throughout our stay. The facilities are also of very high quality, including a lovely swimming pool, perfect for cooling off and enjoying the tranquility of the surroundings. As the sun set, we continued our experience at the estate's restaurant. We chose the Governor's Menu, and it was a truly wonderful discovery. The dishes, at once refined, generous, and beautifully presented, demonstrated genuine culinary mastery. A real treat from beginning to end. Finally, it was time to leave this magnificent estate surrounded by exceptional natural surroundings. Whether you're a golfer or simply looking for a peaceful place to recharge, Domaine du Gouverneur is a destination we recommend without hesitation. We will gladly return. 🌅🏌️‍♂️🍽️🏨

01/06/2026: Our first time at Domaine du Gouverneur made us want to return. Excellent value for money, from the food and activities to the rooms. A wonderful welcome; thank you and well done to Carla who accompanied and guided us throughout our stay, which was far too short! I highly recommend it.
