Apart from the cold, the lack of a fridge and especially a kettle, I had no complaints. The entire team was incredibly welcoming! The price was reasonable. The food was excellent! The ravioli were sublime! Thank you!

The atmosphere is always fantastic, thank you to the owners who have been passionately working there all these years.
PS: I don't recommend ordering the PSG pizza, unless you want to cause a stir, BUT I highly recommend trying the banana gratin (it's incredible!).

18/05/2026: First experience at this unassuming café. The cook is exceptional. The service is courteous and humorous. If you happen to encounter a certain "Antoine," despite his less-than-attractive appearance, he's very helpful. He appreciates small change as a tip.
16/03/2026: Conveniently located just behind the train station Gare de Champ de Courses d’Enghien, served by the Transilien Line H. I stopped there to meet a friend of my father, so I can’t say much about the menu, but the place looked clean and well kept. It’s a small spot and they close around 10 pm, which is good to know if you’re coming late.

16/05/2026: A very welcoming and family-run restaurant, the food is excellent and everything is homemade (fries, meat cooked on the grill over a fireplace).
13/05/2026: It had been a long time since we'd eaten at this legendary place, for us who grew up near Coutainville.
The sausages and fries are still as good as ever.
The staff is very friendly.
I highly recommend it!

16/05/2026: We arrived at this café, went in, and left immediately. Not a sound despite the few customers, no background music, no greeting when we arrived. We waited on the doorstep, staring blankly at each other… We then sat down in an awkward silence. We felt compelled to whisper, the silence was so oppressive. We quickly left.
This establishment was visited on May 7th, not May 8th, so it was indeed this place :)

30/05/2026: We ate there two nights in a row. The owner was friendly, the waiter (a future doctor) was pleasant and competent, as was the waitress. The pizzas were good, the Italian salad very generous, and the pasta carbonara excellent. We'll definitely go back on our next trips to Chartres.
24/05/2026: Previously very good, I was very disappointed with the pizza I was served. The Primavera was dry, with too little topping, and a disappointing taste. And we're talking about an €18 pizza here…

15/05/2026: The sanctuary is a place of pilgrimage for Christians, it is located on a plateau, you can enjoy a 360° panorama of the peaks of the Mercantour to the azure of the Mediterranean Sea, a very beautiful walk.
07/01/2026: Superb viewpoint overlooking Lancel and the mountains. Accessible by car and on foot. Personally, I found it magical on foot. Leaving Utelle, start with the mountains; it's easier.

17/05/2026: A charming little village restaurant, nicely decorated (beautiful centerpiece). It has a very rustic feel, and the waiter was very friendly.
We had some excellent homemade fries; it's so rare these days to find truly homemade fries in a restaurant.
The merguez sausages are very good, and the portions are very generous, even with the budget menu.
We look forward to returning.
We discovered this restaurant by chance, needing a break after a long journey...
08/03/2026: I ordered couscous for two people through Uber Eats.
I was really disappointed with the quality. The meat was okay, but the semolina was fine for one person, definitely not two. And to top it all off, the vegetables: three tiny pieces of carrot and two turnips. I had to cook more vegetables to make it a decent meal.
Considering the price, 👎

18/05/2026: We had a wonderful evening at the Auberge du Roybon. The setting is beautiful, the hosts are warm and friendly, the food is delicious, and the rooms and common areas are very comfortable. We will gladly return with our family this summer to enjoy the cooler temperatures or this winter for the ski slopes and snowy landscapes.
14/05/2026: We spent two nights at Christelle and Emmanuel's Auberge, a half-board stay with my sisters in early May, and we highly recommend it. Their kindness and hospitality are impeccable; they are also excellent cooks, but we just missed out on the Tarte Tropézienne… we can't wait to return.
There are also hiking trails everywhere, completely off-grid, a true paradise.
