24/05/2026: This restaurant used to be nice. It's been closed for months without any clear reason. Apparently, they only do takeout... If the goal is permanent closure, they might as well just say so and move on...

07/10/2026: Friendly service, even speaks Dutch! Knows what the customer wants in terms of wine, nice place for a quick lunch.

01/09/2026: After two days of Western food, I craved Southeast Asian food, and Folk found this restaurant, Asian Fusion, which was also nearby. For appetizers, I ordered fried spring rolls (okay) and fried dumplings (not great, they added bamboo shoots, so they had a weird taste). For main courses, I ordered pork belly fried rice (surprisingly, it was Italian-style, but the taste was good, and it even came with chili oil, a pleasant surprise), honey chicken fried rice (I didn't expect it to actually be made with honey; it wasn't bad, but it was way too sweet), and spicy stir-fried beef with long tubing (this was the best dish, a Western version of stir-fried beef noodles). The bill came to €58, with a half-price discount, meaning it was less than €30! It was so cheap I almost cried 😭 There's nothing to complain about. The restaurant staff were all Peranakan Chinese, speaking a little Chinese and fluent English, very polite, which was nice 😄

19/08/2026: Really disappointed by the food, especially the Mi Zhi Fan… way too sweet. The setting and service, however, are excellent.

02/10/2026: While visiting the area, I ate at McDonald's one evening and was very warmly welcomed by Manel! The service was quick and hassle-free. The Halloween decorations were lovely!

31/08/2026: Waiting 45 minutes on a packed terrace, then you want to order and they tell you it won't be any faster because they only have one cook. Well, then don't open the restaurant. Avoid it!

26/09/2026: Delicious restaurant, friendly and attentive staff! Special mention for the "40" maki and its salmon tataki! Tokoyama has become our weekend Japanese restaurant, I highly recommend it!

02/09/2026: The staff are friendly and the food is very good. However, at lunchtime, it's best to arrive early because afterwards it gets very crowded with only two servers.

14/04/2026: Stunning (both location and services). The location is excellent (limited parking) but with superb views over the surrounding countryside with snow capped mountains. The welcome was very friendly - felt like old friends. Our dog was made very welcome (think she have stolen several hearts). Lovely room reasonable spacious, view from the window exceptional, nice sized shower room. Fridge and aircon. Meals on the terrace, 3 excellent (alcoholic) aperitif's to choose from. We had 3 different meals (one each day) well presented, original and they were very tasty. Yummy as well desserts. Wine very pleasant. Breakfast serve yourself - the fresh fruit salad was much appreciated. Good range of products to choose from. Coffee and teas as required (served). Prices for our 3 days stay dinner bed and breakfast (+small charge for Choupettte) were very reasonable

17/05/2026: Excellent welcome at the Hotel Restaurant La Mir! We stopped by while our car was charging and were greeted with incredible kindness. The receptionist was truly lovely, always smiling, attentive, and very professional. It's a pleasure to encounter such welcoming people. A wonderful experience, thank you again for your hospitality! We will gladly return.

10/04/2026: Ideally located less than a kilometer from a motorway exit but in a very quiet setting, La Mire is highly recommended. The service is very friendly (which is no surprise, as the people of Vierzon are known for their warmth), the beds are comfortable, and the rooms are reasonably priced. The only drawback is the single bedside table next to the double beds.

05/09/2026: Lunch on the road between Bayonne and Céret. A phone call around noon to make a reservation. Estimated arrival time: 1:30 pm. Upon arrival (10 minutes late / not good): "Ah, it was you two who called, we were looking for you," a smile, a laugh. This set the tone for a very pleasant lunch in a place that's a bar, tobacconist, newsagent, home decor shop, and restaurant all in one. The food is good, inexpensive, and plentiful. Thank you for your very warm welcome.
