28/05/2026: My go-to spot in the neighborhood! A warm welcome and fast service. Daily specials: meat/fish/grilled dishes change every day. Plenty of choices and specialties on the menu, plus pizzas. Set menu with dessert and coffee. Large air-conditioned dining room and a spacious terrace. Thanks to the whole team for over 15 years.

Let's start with the languages ​​spoken, listed as French, English, and Italian; in reality, Italian is completely unknown. Let's move on to the minibar in all rooms. The one assigned to us doesn't have one, and according to reception, it's only in the superior rooms. Since we needed it for a medication issue, it was enough to know; and all means all. We're in a double room, for two; we've never had one small towel and one large towel. Let's move on to the bathroom fixtures: look at the photos. Conclusion: Stay away from this hotel and be wary of going there. I've attached photographic documentation of the above.

14/06/2026: My post concerns the way takeout orders are packaged. There are only plastic containers, in large quantities, and double the plastic bags for each delivery. When I order for 10 people, I ask that the 10 portions of rice or kebabs be grouped together in one large container, but no! I end up with 10 boxes of rice, 10 boxes of kebabs, 10 salad boxes (all plastic), 10 pairs of chopsticks, and 4 or 6 plastic bags. The environment is clearly not this restaurant's priority. What a shame!

05/06/2026: A very warm welcome, lovely decor with numerous photos and texts by writers in the stairwell and dining room. Each room is named after a writer with photos on the walls (we had Simone de Beauvoir). Truly charming and welcoming.

19/05/2026: A very pleasant hotel (dedicated to literature) in the center of La Charité-sur-Loire. The managers are very friendly. There's a shelter for bicycles inside the courtyard, and a small, cozy, and quiet outdoor area (unfortunately, the weather didn't allow us to enjoy it). Our room (Molière) was spacious, clean, and well-appointed. The breakfasts were very generous, and the manager was attentive to guests' needs. We were able to park without any problem in front of the hotel. We spent several nights in this peaceful hotel after spending days exploring the surrounding area. A lovely find.

26/05/2026: very tasty pho broth, fresh bobuns and divine Vietnamese coffee—would highly recommend also we came a night earlier and due to maintenance issues they turned us away but our need for electrolytes in the unusually hot late spring day took us back. our waiter was grateful we came back after the first failed attempt and thus, gave us a free coffee
