31/05/2026: I highly recommend it. A very warm welcome, very friendly owners, spacious and quiet room. Ideally located in a central area. Natural pools are a 10-minute drive away in Zonza, coves are just a stone's throw away, and a magnificent beach is 15 minutes away. Great atmosphere in the evening, with music and a cocktail bar served by a professional bartender. My only slight complaint is that the food was a bit too salty. I had an excellent stay and I will definitely be back. 😉

24/05/2026: We visited the restaurant and had mixed drinks and beer. Unfortunately, the beer is not very good, the draft and mixed drinks are not very good. It was only when paying that we found out that it was cash only ☹️

21/06/2026: As a regular customer of Café de la Paroisse, I came here for the last time today. It's a shame, because the location and the terrace are truly lovely, but the service is lacking. On my last three visits, our waiter never acknowledged our greetings. Today, aware of our late arrival for lunch, we called ahead to make sure the kitchen was still open and received a positive response. Arriving 15 minutes later as agreed, we were met with a cold welcome and the kitchen was already closed. We understand the unforeseen circumstances, but would have appreciated being informed by phone rather than upon arrival, since the purpose of the call was precisely to anticipate this problem. So, we were left with a cold menu. As the prices weren't displayed, we had to ask after ordering: €20 for a salad. We wanted to change our order; The waiter went to "check" and never returned, only for us to be served the salad we had refused, under the pretext that it was already prepared (how quick!). On top of that, on a previous visit, they deliberately left us a half-eaten jar of peanuts that had already been opened by a previous table: a breach of hygiene that I overlooked at the time. Another time, we were charged an extra €3 for our usual drinks for no apparent reason, especially since we were there during our regular hours. The accumulation of these incidents leads me to no longer recommend this establishment.

The service was so lovely, the staff so welcoming and friendly—the likes of which we haven't experienced in a restaurant for a long time—and the food was truly delicious. We sincerely thank the entire team.

18/03/2026: We had a fantastic weekend at the Relais des Landes, which we booked exclusively for a large family birthday celebration. Everything was perfect, and the team clearly has experience managing this type of event. The hotel is charming, the rooms are spacious, and the dinner was delicious. Our guests echoed this sentiment throughout the weekend. A huge thank you to Sophie and Stéphane!

11/01/2026: We chose the Relais des Landes for its ideal location near the Loire Valley châteaux, for the image conveyed by its website—promising a relaxing setting—and for the advertised New Year's Eve dinner by a fireplace, in the romantic style typical of the region. The welcome was excellent, courteous, and professional, and we thanked the reception staff for it. However, when asked if our stay had gone well, we felt it necessary to be honest. Having regularly stayed in 4-star hotels, we must say that this establishment falls short of their standard and services, and that the value for money is, as it stands, very disappointing. The room was a real disappointment: aging in every way, with a damaged bed frame, a basic bedside table (a simple plank set into the wall), a very old television, and dated, incoherent decor—even a picture containing… the room's wallpaper. The bathroom was small and lacked the amenities and attention to detail expected in a hotel of this category (old hairdryer, etc.). The housekeeping also left much to be desired: visible dust (dust bunnies under the bed), a dusty remote control, and after the first night, a barely made bed—the duvet simply pulled up—which is unacceptable for a 4-star hotel. Without having pre-booked dinner for December 31st, we would have left the hotel before even settling in, and we seriously considered it. However, the staff were kind enough to place our table near the fireplace for New Year's Eve, which convinced us to stay. We had initially planned to spend the afternoon of the 31st at the hotel to relax and enjoy the facilities, but given the room, we decided against the offered massage and opted to visit the spa at another establishment. Upon our return, we witnessed a public and offensive reprimand directed at a member of the reception staff by someone in charge of preparing the dinner seating plan—a particularly inappropriate scene in front of the other guests. Regarding the New Year's Eve dinner: while the setting was undeniably pleasant, the food itself fell short of expectations, lacking finesse. Fortunately, the service staff were very attentive and greatly contributed to making the experience more enjoyable. Breakfast also proved to be below the expected standard for a 4-star hotel. Without reiterating the arguments already extensively raised in the establishment's responses to other reviews (local cheeses, etc.), it is nonetheless difficult to justify refilling a jar of jam that was already empty the day before. In short, a very disappointing stay—especially for a honeymoon—with a price-quality ratio that clearly did not meet expectations. We would nevertheless like to warmly thank the gentleman at reception for his availability and responsiveness, the young woman who served us at dinner on the 31st, as well as the gentleman—presumably the owner—for his professionalism during service and his commendable knowledge of the wines offered. However, a thorough reassessment seems necessary for the future of this establishment, and we believe that carefully listening to customer feedback—particularly from those familiar with upscale hotels—would be beneficial.

02/01/2026: This so-called Black Forest log looks more like a cream-filled sewer grate, packed with cherries with an excessive alcohol content 😵‍💫 It cost us €40 for a mouthful of low-quality cream 😑 Run to Picard instead; you can buy three infinitely better logs for the same price. Furthermore, the service was very unpleasant and nonchalant; I was practically smelling the saleswoman's cigarette smoke as she let it waft into the shop. 🚭

25/03/2026: Okay, so the setting is quite nice, but I ordered the "Enchanted Flute" salad because it said it had mint and cilantro. And I got neither mint nor cilantro. I thought maybe it was at the bottom, but no. Oh, and there were plenty of spinach leaves! The salad also listed "snow peas" in the ingredients, but I got two. The plate was certainly nicely presented, but the whole thing wasn't worth the price. I waited until someone came to ask if everything was alright to point out the discrepancy between what was written and what was actually there. Luckily, I politely asked for a free coffee, and they agreed, because I didn't receive any apology other than a promise that they would inform the kitchen about the problem. I doubt they ever did. If there's a problem with the ingredients, which can happen, the least they can do is inform the customers. I think we're paying more for the setting than the quality.

13/03/2026: Beware of dishonest waiters who charge you over €5 for carafes of syrup, claiming it's Vittel syrup even though the Vittel wasn't consumed… Absolutely avoid this place. They have no sense of customer service, the prices are exorbitant for mediocre quality, and the service is appalling.
