20/07/2026: Perfect for a motorcycle road trip stopover A huge thank you to Séverine and her husband for their exceptional hospitality! They are incredibly kind hosts, always friendly and smiling. The accommodation is impeccable: clean, equipped with air conditioning (a real plus!), and we took advantage of the option to have the sheets made upon arrival. Special mention for the very comfortable bedding! The setting is a true haven of peace: a lush and relaxing environment surrounded by nature, with sheep (that look like goats 🤣), chickens, and a small pond. The swimming pool is perfect for cooling off at any time of day, while respecting everyone's privacy (peace and quiet guaranteed in the evening). As for dining, everything is on-site, which is a real bonus: The restaurant offers excellent value for money; we thoroughly enjoyed our meal! Breakfast (at an extra cost) was just as good. Even though, being true Charentais Maritime locals, for us butter is semi-salted 😍 A special shout-out to the bikers ✌️: We were on a motorcycle road trip and the place is 100% perfect. The setting is completely safe and we were able to park our bikes right next to the accommodation to keep an eye on them. The hosts perfectly understand our needs (to the point of even taking the owner for a short ride to the accommodation!). Perhaps a future biker haven? Bonus: We always capture our road trips on video, especially with a drone. The owners allowed us to take off for a few minutes to immortalize our stay (we're sharing the footage with you). Thank you to them and our neighbors for allowing us. Thanks again for this wonderful stay, we'll definitely be back!

13/07/2026: A fantastic, calm, and relaxing setting, with free-roaming chickens and sheep – a truly peaceful moment. We were welcomed by a lovely young couple. The owner, besides her smile and kindness, sets the tone for the entire stay. Four superb nights in a very clean, quiet mobile home facing the lake and its fruit trees – COOL! The paella was very generous and delicious. The only slight downside was that the owner was a bit grumpy; we'll chalk it up to stress. Nevertheless, we'll definitely be back – a beautiful place that we highly recommend! 😉😉 Mr. and Mrs. Auger

22/09/2026: The restaurant is very well located by the sea. The welcome was quite warm. The food is certainly very good, but a bit pricey for our taste considering the portion sizes. I think the set menu could be offered for €40, no more. The seafood platter only consisted of oysters and shrimp. For the price, it was missing whelks, periwinkles… In short, it somewhat spoiled our enjoyment! You can eat just as well nearby for less.

06/10/2026: The setting is very pleasant, overlooking the park. Unfortunately, the food is bad. Between a mixed salad swimming in grease and a wok dish where the noodles are poorly cooked and stuck together at the bottom of the plate, it was a failed culinary experience. Luckily, the staff is friendly and efficient.

03/10/2026: Excellent service! Welcoming and very pleasant staff! Fast service and delicious food. We had the poker bowl, fish, and a burger with chocolate mousse for dessert; we weren't disappointed!

28/09/2026: Chez Etienne is an institution, and there's always a queue outside, but we easily managed to get in for dinner, arriving shortly after opening. Right from the start, they made it clear: only cash is accepted, but no problem, there are ATMs nearby. We were greeted by the mischievous yet extremely efficient Nasser, a colorful character who was always on the go and didn't miss the opportunity to gently tease my companion with the kind of cheeky banter that characterizes Marseillais in the collective imagination. We were quickly seated with other customers at a table with a red checkered tablecloth (old-fashioned decor, of course). The place filled up very quickly, with a mix of regulars and tourists. On the wall, faded photos of the restaurant's history and the celebrities who have dined there. The noise level increased as the evening progressed. It's always packed, very noisy, and there's a crazy, joyful energy all around. The oven is working at full blast, and the pizzas come out uniformly crispy (i.e., not just on the edges). The seasoning is perfect, with just the right amount of garlic and herbs. There are only two topping choices, but that's more than enough: cheese or anchovies, with the option of a half-and-half. Both are very good, but I have a slight preference for the lighter anchovy pizza. It's worth noting, because it's not obvious: the pizzas aren't sold by "dish" but by "person." So, a "2-person" pizza is equivalent to two quarter pizzas per person for two people (which is one full pizza). It also seems that there are different pizza sizes depending on the number of people. The salad is also very generous. Next to us, our table neighbors ordered cuttlefish, which looked exquisite. The meat dishes also appeared to be of high quality. Indeed, the restaurant isn't just a pizzeria; it also serves other dishes. Despite the crowd outside and the quick service, we weren't rushed to pay the bill or clear the table. The staff is unpretentious but always very attentive and helpful. Dining at Etienne's was a truly unique experience, well worth the trip.

22/08/2026: Friday, 7 PM, I parked coming from Figeac. I was in the commercial area for gas and the Aveyron market. I stopped there to eat at the market restaurant. I went in, and a young waiter greeted me and offered me a table to myself. I chose one. I sat down and looked at the reserved tables. They took care of me: an aperitif of duck foot and a slice of bread with bacon, and a small glass of Cahors red wine. A good market atmosphere. For my starter, I chose a gizzard salad with seasoned duck heart, which was generous and tasty. The aligot and duck sausage had a wonderful farm-fresh aroma. I didn't have dessert because I was completely full. The atmosphere between the servers and the customers was excellent and friendly; everyone had their role: the one who greeted us, the one who suggested things, the one who brought us food, and the one who managed the group while also having a kind word for each customer. A truly noteworthy address, and I'm convinced that the future of farming lies in this kind of collaboration. In any case, the restaurant team showcases this sector well; thank you. 31/08/2026: Excellent, as usual. I love the atmosphere of this tapas restaurant; it's very welcoming and the staff are very friendly. 😊 The food is absolutely delicious; the mussels with chorizo, the croquettes, the wine, and the Padrón were all excellent. 👌🏼

03/07/2026: High-quality pastry shop/ice cream parlor. A very wide selection of ice creams with diverse flavors. There are only a few tables in front of the small shop.

16/08/2026: I had an appointment at the Pasteur Clinic, so I stopped by for breakfast while I waited. Well, what can I say… what a lovely moment! A warm welcome, freshly squeezed orange juice right in front of you, an excellent pain au chocolat, and very good coffee. All for €5.50! I highly recommend this little establishment right across from the clinic. Well done, keep up the good work!

05/06/2026: The atmosphere is more like a fast-food restaurant than a traditional Vietnamese eatery. Service can be slow due to multiple simultaneous orders. The menu is simple and short, as is the set menu. The price is also higher than what's offered in the area.
