12/09/2026: Dinner was very good, the skewers were delicious (the beef one was a bit overcooked), but the lamb was heavenly, and the couscous was also delicious. Despite the language barrier, I had no problem communicating. I highly recommend it.

26/06/2026: We had dinner on the evening of June 26th, a group of 13, and the chef treated us to a fantastic meal! Delicious appetizers, an amazing salmon koulibiac with sorrel sauce, and a delicious strawberry and rhubarb dessert. In short, go for it!!

03/07/2026: Sometimes the best Michelin experiences are completely unexpected. While staying at a hotel in the French Basque Country, I discovered that Ithurria, a one-Michelin-star restaurant, was less than 30 kilometres away. One phone call was all it took to secure a table for the very same evening, despite requesting a vegan tasting menu. Set inside a beautiful building dating back to 1657, the restaurant reflects traditional Basque architecture and charm. The atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and relaxed - never overly formal or intimidating, as Michelin-starred restaurants are sometimes perceived to be. The food was exceptional. Every dish showcased not only incredible flavours but also meticulous attention to detail, with each plate looking like a piece of art. The seven-course tasting menu took me on a journey through the region, highlighting the very best local and seasonal ingredients. For the first time, I also chose a non-alcoholic wine pairing, and it completely exceeded my expectations. For years, my options at fine dining restaurants were usually limited to Coca-Cola or water. This time, I was served beautifully selected non-alcoholic wines that elevated every course and made the experience feel complete. The seven-course vegan tasting menu was €135, while the three-course non-alcoholic wine pairing cost €35. An absolutely wonderful dining experience.

13/05/2026: A wonderful stay at this family-run hotel, in a setting that is equally charming. The staff were incredibly attentive and the services were of very high quality. The gourmet dinner with wine pairing was excellent. We will be back!

08/08/2026: A true kebab institution in Paris! I tried Ozlem Kebab, open since 1987, and ordered a kebab platter: honestly, a real treat! The meat is delicious, generous, juicy, and not at all dry. It's hand-cut, which gives it a really pleasant texture and an authentic taste. I also loved the bread: it soaks up the juices and fat from the spit, which gives it a lot of flavor and makes it particularly delicious. Another big plus: no Algerian sauce, Biggy, or other industrial sauces here. They have two homemade sauces: a hot sauce and a homemade tomato sauce that perfectly complements the meat. I also really appreciated the two-spit system: the second spit takes over to guarantee that the meat is always fresh, juicy, and cooked to perfection, especially for afternoon customers. Due to its popularity, the second spit of kebabs is often finished before 4:30 pm. In that case, the kitchen closes earlier than usual. So it's best to arrive early! A delicious, generous, and authentic kebab plate, prepared with true expertise since 1987. A place I highly recommend to lovers of real kebab!

You could go there without hesitation, for lunch or a drink, and you were always greeted with a smile. It felt like home... This is the first time I've felt so sad about the closure of an establishment. We'll miss the whole team. And especially Cédric, with his humor and kindness. Best of luck to the whole team. And good luck to Bistrot de Loulou, which is taking its place, to try and maintain the same high standards...

His kindness, professionalism, and dedication greatly contributed to making our wedding the most beautiful day of our lives. Everything was absolutely perfect. Denis guided us with care and made this day unforgettable. A huge thank you also to Stéphane from Mets Delys, a true chef who delighted our taste buds with an exceptional meal, and to Richard from La Nuit Autrement, who created an incredible atmosphere and kept us dancing until the early hours. We will cherish wonderful memories of this day and wholeheartedly recommend this venue to all future brides and grooms. A huge thank you again to the entire team!

15/06/2026: Two cold roast beef with mayonnaise, one chocolate mousse, and a quarter bottle of rosé for €53. Far too expensive. Perhaps there was a mistake (deliberate?) on the bill, requiring cash payment. No wonder there were only four of us...

09/09/2026: A lovely discovery in Libourne, in an unusual location. The menu was very nice, and the fire was beautiful.

08/09/2026: The ribeye steak 🥩 wasn't thick enough and also lacked a bit of originality, like a marrow bone as an accompaniment.

11/10/2026: One of the only cafes open on Sundays in Grenoble with Wi-Fi and power outlets, but they turn away students who come to work because computers are "forbidden on weekends." Having come to work one Sunday afternoon, we (me and about twenty other people, who were the only customers in the cafe) were asked to close our computers after an hour, thus preventing us from working (after having ordered, of course). What's the point of setting up a cafe that seems designed for people wanting to work, while prohibiting them on weekends, which is the only time we need to work (libraries are closed and we have classes during the week)? I understand the intention to prioritize families, friends, and groups, but judging by the clientele, the cafe is favoring a clientele it doesn't have at the expense of its already established customer base. Very disappointed, I won't be going back.

21/06/2026: Really disappointed with the Simone menu, but may have just caught them on an off day. The menu online did not reflect what was offered and nothing really appealed to me aside from the tuna tartare. It was extremely fishy and metallic, so we finished our glass of wine and went elsewhere to eat. This place has been on my list for ages based on the great things I’ve heard about their wine list, but even their wine selection wasn’t anything special. Based on what I saw and heard from other diners around us, it seemed many others felt the same way about the menu. May come back and give it another shot when/if this “pop up” ends.
