28/09/2026: I am OUTRAGED, even MORE SO... I went to eat at the Auberge du Lac in Malsaucy with a friend. My friend ordered a dish for €19 and I ordered one for €18. The surprise when we went to the till was that the owner told us it was €40! We told her no, it was €37, and she replied that our account showed €40?! So... If you go as a couple, you'll see the difference, BUT in a larger group, you generally don't check the bill and end up with €1 here, €2 there... It's truly outrageous. I WILL NEVER GO TO THIS RESTAURANT AGAIN 😡 FOR ME, IT'S DISHONEST. A word of advice to future customers: CHECK YOUR BILL. A WORD TO THE WISE. You have to get burned to learn.

28/09/2026: Great restaurant with generous and well-presented portions. Special mention for the roucolonade, a delight! The only slight disappointment was the charcuterie appetizer platter, but we will gladly return. Pleasant and quick service. A great find!

19/08/2026: A pizza fan for decades, and these pizzas were truly awful. In fact, we started vomiting right outside the gate as we were leaving. And then we had stomach aches for a good part of the night. Right from the entrance, a sign indicates that you can't share a pizza; each person must order a dish. Furthermore, there are no prices displayed outside until you see the menu, and that's where the unpleasant surprises come in, as the prices are very high. The service was mediocre at best; if you put things on the table, instead of waiting for them to move them, they just leave you the cutlery and placemats and tell you to set the table yourself. In short, avoid this place...

25/09/2026: To be honest, I won't be going back. Prices have gone up, the quality is barely acceptable, it even seems to have gone down. The cooking needs improvement. Last time for me.

03/07/2026: I give the restaurant top marks. I didn't stay at the hotel (my sister did and she was very happy with it). The hotel is located right across from the train station, and the rooms are very good value for money. As for the restaurant, it's excellent value for money. Everything was delicious, homemade with fresh ingredients, original, a top-notch meal from start to finish, all for a reasonable price. Congratulations to the chef! A very pleasant surprise. I highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely return.

26/05/2026: Everything you find in Alsace…simple, pleasant, clean, friendly, and welcoming, all in a very well-maintained building. I much prefer this type of establishment to an overpriced, ultra-cozy hotel. With a day reaching 30°C, air conditioning wasn't an option. Parking is available in the center of Thann. This establishment was exactly what I had booked. Thank you.

21/07/2026: Excellent bakery! You can immediately feel the team's passion and expertise. The breads are delicious, the pastries are as beautiful as they are tasty, and above all, the viennoiseries are entirely homemade. This truly makes all the difference: they are crispy, generous, and bursting with flavor.

24/06/2026: I'm very disappointed with this bakery. I ordered a birthday cake for the 27th and was informed on Tuesday, just three days before the event, that it couldn't be made due to a lack of bakers. Such a late cancellation is unacceptable, especially for an order placed in advance for a birthday. What's most regrettable is that no solution or alternative was offered to address this problem.

23/09/2026: A fantastic discovery at Shanka Bar! I had a great meal: the dishes were delicious, the portions were just right for the price, and the overall experience was really enjoyable. I was particularly impressed by the service: the staff were fantastic, always smiling and very welcoming. You immediately feel at ease in a warm and friendly atmosphere. Special mention also goes to the speed of the service, despite the still-busy atmosphere at the end of September. A great place to eat in Porto-Vecchio, I'll definitely be back! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

29/08/2026: The staff were very friendly, but we were a little disappointed when we went to this restaurant on a weeknight. We had very few side dish options, only five choices (fries, green beans, carrots, mushrooms, and rice). It's a shame there weren't more starch options, like mashed potatoes, for example, which work very well, and pasta. Apart from that, the price was reasonable. Regarding the ice cream, we were disappointed not to be able to order a milkshake since they were out of milk (which is, however, an important ingredient for desserts and coffees). For our ice cream sundae, there were no more speculoos crumbles (normally included in the recipe). We tried to replace them with something else since there wasn't much left. Finally, we took the liberty of asking the very kind young woman to add more chocolate to the Dame Blanche dessert, as there was practically nothing in the cup, just a thin drizzle on top of the whipped cream. I want to clarify that this comment is simply intended to provide constructive feedback to the staff, who were, in fact, very friendly.

16/09/2026: A great little find. Happened to see this place as.we.walked up to Sacre Coeur and returned just before sunset. Stunning night time views of the Eiffel Tower and the Paris cityscape. Beautiful fish tacos and a decent bottle of wine, both great value. Service was faultless, one slight problem and yet the host sorted it without question, along with a genuine apology. Nothing too much trouble. One to visit.

29/08/2026: Never once left a bad review in my life, but our experience here was unacceptable. We came here as a group of 6 adults + 1 kid (8yo) and asked if we could sit on a random (empty and hot) weekday. They took our order after a few minutes and then…once at a time the crêpes started to get to the table, everything seemed to be fine. However the waiter should probably switch jobs with somebody who doesn’t have to interact with anyone :) He made one crêpe at a time so that when one person of our group had already finished, the other one would arrive. But that wouldn’t have been a problem…if the last one of the 7 crêpes had actually arrived. We waited 50 minutes for the last one and after approx 25 minutes of waiting we asked him “we’re still missing one, is it in the making?” in a very polite way (you know…it’s ok to forget an order) - however he responded by telling us he had a lot of orders and proceeded to make crêpes for other tables - who ordered AFTER US, and we were still waiting for the last crêpe after almost an hour!!! We asked him once more after around 45 minutes and he mocked us once again. At this point we paid for the 6 crêpes and left - and he still tried to make his point and did something to imitate one of the people I was with by mocking her. What? How can this be considered normal? Waiting almost a full hour for a crêpe while all the other tables are being served and all the people at your table have already eaten? And you don’t even say something like “Sorry for the wait” but instead choose to mock us because we are tourists? Mind you we all speak french and were being very understanding for the wait. Never again. Plus the crêpes were also super thick and the waiter who was making them continuously dried his sweat with his hand or shirt. Lots of other better places to eat a crêpe in this area rather than this. :)

06/06/2026: We dined at Raffiné in Paris and spent approximately €300 for our meal, expecting the level of quality and service associated with a fine dining restaurant. Unfortunately, during the meal we found a bug in one of our drinks. We immediately informed the staff, expecting the situation to be handled professionally. While the issue was acknowledged, no meaningful action was taken. There was no gesture of apology, no replacement offered, and no attempt to compensate for what was a very unpleasant experience. Finding an insect in a drink is unacceptable at any restaurant, especially one positioning itself as a high-end dining destination. What was even more disappointing was the lack of customer care after the issue was reported. The food may have been good, but the way this situation was handled left us with a very negative impression. For a €300 dining experience, I expected much better. Edited: I think the owner completely missed the point of my review. I understand that insects can occasionally find their way into any establishment, and I am not suggesting that you can control that. What I am criticizing is the way the situation was handled. A fine dining restaurant charging €300 for a meal should understand that service recovery is just as important as the food itself. There was no apology, no gesture of goodwill, and no attempt to compensate for an experience that clearly fell below the standards expected from a high-end restaurant. Your response reinforces my original impression that this establishment does not provide the level of customer care one would expect from a fine dining venue.

20/05/2026: One of my favorite restaurants near Strasbourg. I've been a loyal and devoted customer for about ten years, and I've recently discovered a passion for going there every week or two with my partner, as evidenced by the 73 photos I've taken of her here in the last two years. The decor could use a refresh, but that quickly fades into the background when the service kicks in, with excellent waiters and ever-improving cuisine. I highly recommend this restaurant; it's well worth the trip. Attached is a photo from our first meal together, which still makes my mouth water despite my limited photography skills. 5/5
