04/02/2026: I was extremely disappointed by the Rougail sausage, which had no flavor whatsoever (just a mixture of rice, a simple sausage cut into pieces with tomato pulp, and that's it!). My colleagues ordered a croque-monsieur (too grilled!) and a burger (the best of the three for lunch), but with overcooked fries. In short, sorry, but I won't be back!

21/12/2025: A warm welcome, everything's there, the menu is great. The beers are excellent too. A special mention for the terrace 😍

07/06/2026: The welcome was very good. The lady was very kind. Service was quick. However, the rustic pizza I ordered with bacon was very salty. A shame. Reasonable price for a 33cm pizza.

03/06/2026: I highly recommend it! The pizzas are excellent and generous. Having a choice of three different sizes is quite convenient 😊 We go there regularly and we never get tired of it!

30/06/2026: The food here is pretty good, though the desserts were a bit too sweet for me.

29/06/2026: Not worth the effort and hype. We went there and we thoroughly disappointed with average at best food experience. Skip it. So many other gems in the area.

16/05/2026: Excellent hotel with a spectacular restaurant. The food was exquisite and the service incredible. Our waitress served us with great kindness and professionalism. I would definitely return to the restaurant on my next visit to Najac.

16/05/2026: My rating is a combination of our stay in the hotel which I’d rate 5 stars and dinner in their restaurant at 3 stars. We had a lovely room with balcony overlooking the valley. Our hostess was so welcoming and friendly throughout our stay. Ideas for walks; drinks on the terrace. The room itself is comfortable with a good bed. Our dinner was disappointing. My beef was just OK. Some of it was so sinewy I couldn’t cut or chew it. My wife’s local special of the rolled pork was awful. She said it tasted like cardboard it was so dry. The service was excellent and the outlook of the restaurant is lovely. Perhaps we just got unlucky 🧐

28/06/2026: A fantastic venue! We were there for a wedding. It's a lovely place with its grounds, pleasant, calm, and very welcoming. The food was delicious, the waitresses were wonderful and really managed the heat, keeping their smiles all evening – honestly, hats off to them considering the sweltering conditions! I highly recommend this place.

29/05/2026: A good place with a terrace to eat healthy food

15/05/2026: I ordered the pie and vegetables or fries meal deal. I asked for vegetables, which were forgotten. Ten minutes later, I was brought a pan of beans that were neither seasoned nor simmered, and inedible. I took my beans, which I suspect came straight from a can, to the till and paid the bill.

22/04/2026: A pub called Guinness Serving Guinness with an unsuitable tap Honestly, not good, especially at €8 a pint! The answer: the Guinness had no taste, no texture in either the beer or the head, nothing like a Guinness. If it's not the tap, then your keg is watered down; I can't see any other explanation.

02/04/2026: The bartender's behavior was unacceptable; she was outraged that my mother-in-law wasn't drinking alcohol in the middle of the afternoon simply because she was in a bar! At what point in 2026 do we question someone's choice not to drink alcohol?

10/05/2026: Perfect for Sunday brunch. Impeccable service and very friendly staff. Excellent selection of both sweet and savory options. Warm and inviting atmosphere.

19/04/2026: We had brunch today and I think €28 is a fair price. Not enough choice, not many hot dishes, and I don't think everything was locally sourced. It was good, but not worth €28.

09/06/2026: Good food but a bit of a wait due to being very busy. The toilets are basic. Good value for money.

06/06/2026: The batter for the savory crepes has changed; they're less like galettes and much thinner, clearly an attempt to save money on ingredients. It's a shame the price hasn't gone down. I won't be ordering them again; they're much less filling considering how little batter there is.

12/07/2026: We arrived 20 minutes before closing time and the staff still served us drinks (we were so thirsty in the heat!), with a smile and professionalism. Thank you! We highly recommend it!

09/07/2026: A lovely brasserie in the shade on this sweltering June 27th. A warm and friendly welcome. But our waiter wasn't up to par... The Auvergne salad was good, and we had a pear Belle Hélène for dessert. Everything was very good, except that I asked the waiter to serve the chocolate separately because I don't like large quantities of chocolate. He did, but brought a plate with a whole pear—and I should add, an excellent one, not canned—but without the scoop of ice cream. I called him back to clarify, and he said he didn't know if there was ice cream or not. I told him it was vanilla, pear, chocolate, and whipped cream ice cream, and he replied, "Oh, and you want ice cream?" That's the whole point of an ice cream sundae. I think this gentleman wasn't a professional waiter and we just happened to encounter one of the legendary Parisian waiters... 😉 I should mention that the rest of the team—bartenders, hostesses, and other servers—seemed very friendly. Next time we're in Paris, we'll try to find the other waiters.

26/05/2026: I ordered a dish with sauce and was asked for vegetables or fries. I chose the fries, which unfortunately were swimming in sauce. In short, really not great.

17/03/2026: A very warm welcome. The setting is lovely and well-decorated, and the atmosphere is friendly. A good selection of starters, main courses, and desserts. Coffee is included in the menu. Excellent value for money. Thank you to the team at Le Charles! We'll be back!
