23/05/2026: The mussels marinière were acceptable. The owner was unpleasant and dismissive. The wait was extremely long. We asked for a carafe of water at the beginning of our meal, and it only arrived at the end, after three requests. We also asked for mayonnaise, which never arrived. Apparently, you have to ask permission from the kitchen. The owner saw our annoyance, didn't apologize for these oversights, and said he was doing the best he could with 150 covers. If you can't keep up, don't hesitate to hire more young people (the one who served us was the only one who wasn't arrogant when we asked him for something).

28/04/2026: We had lunch with a group of visually impaired people and were pampered by Daniel and Francis, the waiters at Brasserie 137. For starters, we had smoked salmon with toast, followed by a seafood casserole, beef steak, or Morteau sausage, depending on the guests' choices, and cheese platters. For dessert, there were several matcha tea entremets and mousses in various flavors, accompanied by white chocolate tuiles. Coffee was also served. The drinks were excellent: white wine from Gascony and red wine from the Loire Valley. The atmosphere was very friendly thanks to the kindness of the brasserie staff. Three Labradors accompanying the group were welcomed without any problems. We had agreed on a €45 set menu with a kir as an aperitif. The table was beautifully set for 20 people and attractively decorated. The ALTEA association thanks the entire team at Brasserie 137 for this wonderful meal.

06/05/2026: ABSOLUTELY AVOID!! We were very disappointed with this restaurant. Based on the reviews and the menu, which advertised "homemade" cuisine, we thought we were in for a treat. We ordered the "homemade" burger with a salad and fries, but the burger was very mediocre. The bun was industrial; even McDonald's burgers are more substantial. The fries were also industrial, and the salad consisted of just a single leaf. It's hard to believe it was homemade. We were very disappointed with the quality of the food, and the same goes for the paella (the fish and meat were overcooked). To make matters worse, the mayonnaise was three months past its expiration date. The waitress had no solution. This is a tourist trap; I really don't recommend it. We are very disappointed that the owner doesn't make more of an effort to satisfy customers.

13/06/2025: A restaurant I stumbled upon in the streets of Houlgate. A very warm welcome, and the meal was excellent (tuna, Camembert, flambéed pineapple, and a gourmet coffee). I'll definitely be back.

25/06/2025: We really like the place, but we've been very disappointed twice in a row. We noticed twice in a row that after ordering, the server came back to tell us that they were out of pastries, but regular customers who arrived after us had received pastries. We had the distinct impression that they weren't serving everyone the same way. Furthermore, it was only 9:30 a.m., and it's really not serious at this hour to have no more pastries. No credible explanation from the server.

10/12/2025: We stopped at the hotel bar for a hot chocolate by the Christmas tree, enjoying the decorations. The drinks were a bit pricey for a 4-star hotel, but we had a wonderful time and it was well worth it.
