13/09/2026: Interesting city. Beautifully restored castle with a fascinating (but overly abundant) exhibition. Les Machines de l'Île are highly recommended. Pleasant to stroll through the city center. Negative remark: The litter in the streets was quite noticeable, especially compared to other cities.

11/09/2026: Huge station. Very clean, the information is well-signposted and available throughout the station. Just one suggestion: perhaps more seating for waiting.

10/08/2026: It took some nerve: €15 for a completely tasteless raw octopus ceviche, served in a near-homeopathic quantity in a crème brûlée ramekin and swimming in water as plentiful as the octopus itself was scarce. You'd almost think you were looking for a hidden camera prank. What exactly is going on in this neighborhood brasserie? Has the manager completely lost touch with reality, or does he suddenly fancy himself at the helm of a three-Michelin-starred establishment? Charging a fortune has never been enough to make fine dining. You still need to have something to put on the plate—or, in this case, in the ramekin. Stratospheric prices, microscopic portions, and uninspired cuisine: the only truly substantial element is the bill. An address to boycott.

28/08/2026: It's best not to live nearby; the screaming, the noise, the endless chaos, until all hours. A living hell.

18/08/2026: To begin with, the bar is expensive. Drinks are €1 or €2 more expensive than what you can find elsewhere in town, especially beer and cider. The service isn't very efficient; we've had to wait 10-15 minutes even when there was hardly anyone ahead of us. Finally, the platters and snacks are really not great for the price. On the other hand, the bar benefits from its pedestrian street location and a great atmosphere.

17/09/2026: We really can't understand the negative reviews here. On the contrary, there were four of us here today. The staff/chef were very friendly and dedicated, the food was excellent, especially the apple tart for dessert, which we highly recommend. We liked the ambiance, food, and service better than the competition in the same village. The price/performance ratio is perfectly fine, the atmosphere is great, and the food is delicious. Definitely recommended. Update: We had breakfast there again the next day before our departure for Germany. Even though breakfast wasn't on the menu, the staff conjured up a delicious breakfast for us. Thank you so much for that! 5 stars and 5 hearts for that.

01/08/2026: To start with the positives, it's a nice, pleasant place to stop and eat. However, the waitress, who is of Asian descent, was really rude and unprofessional.

07/07/2026: That's ridiculous, over €10 for a Perrier and a half-pint of draft beer. I asked for confirmation again, but it seemed perfectly normal to pay that price on the sidewalk next to the road on a Monday evening...

26/06/2026: Nice location with parking on site. Restaurant with good food for lunch and dinner. Rooms with simple standard, good beds but lacks storage and clothes hooks. Extremely warm rooms, the air condition cant cope with warm weather. Breakfast buffe simple but ok. Very friendly and serviceminded staff.

03/06/2026: Excellent location if you want to visit the D-Day landing beaches. The American Cemetery, Sainte-Mer-l'Église, Colleville-sur-Mer, and Bayeux town center are all within walking distance. The room needs renovation. Breakfast is available upon reservation for approximately €15. Room service is minimal.
