14/07/2026: The reservation system needs to be reviewed. We booked for 6 but were seated at a table for 4, while a table for 6 next door was given for 4. We spent the evening packed in like sardines.

14/07/2026: We had a reservation for six people and ended up crammed into a table for four, while just two meters away, four people were seated at a table for six. To top it all off, a waiter spoke to us very rudely, telling us to return to our table of four simply because we were trying to find a more suitable solution. Otherwise, the food was good.

22/07/2026: Very good mussels and fries eaten for lunch today. It's a shame to waste such good mussels, perfectly cooked, and good homemade fries with a cream sauce that tastes like milk diluted with water, without any hint of salt, garlic, etc. The dessert was so-so; a pear almond tart. I almost hope it was frozen! But whether it was mediocre frozen or mediocre homemade, it was just average.

19/07/2026: Very long wait, frozen food at our level, service very good, but from a meal point of view not great, for a menu at 26 euros not worth it.

06/07/2026: While in the Gard region for family reasons, my partner, brother-in-law, and I had dinner at Shanghai for the first time. There wasn't a huge menu, but they offered just what we like. From appetizer to dessert, everything was delicious, even the ice cream was good. The service was excellent, and the wok was fantastic too. A huge thank you to them for their professionalism; for me, it's the best wok in Nîmes. We'll be back! ❤️👍💯💯💯

31/05/2026: A very pleasant campsite by the lake with a private grassy beach. The campsite is wooded, and each pitch is separated by hedges. Very quiet (late May). Nearby, there's a restaurant/bar with a lovely terrace overlooking the lake, and paragliding (Col de la Forclaz). The bungalow was very clean. Ours had a lake view. The only downside was the bedding, which was a little too firm for my liking. The reception staff were very friendly and professional. We highly recommend this campsite. We'll gladly return!

14/05/2026: We had a lovely stay mid May. The campsite was very calm which we loved. The showers and toilets were very clean and the showers were very practical. There was a nice variety of restaurants at walking distance. We brought our two dogs. They are not allow on the private beach of the campsite itself but there is a big grassy ‘beach’ next to the water very close (max 1 minute walk). Dogs were allowed , I hope they are also allowed at high season. Would definitely come back again.

09/02/2026: A friendly, family-run restaurant. The food is good, no complaints. Everything is homemade. This is the second time we've been back to the area and eaten here.

31/05/2026: We were refused entry because of our age (20). It would be good to specify this on one of the websites, as was the case for the dress code. Next time, it will prevent ruined evenings.

19/07/2026: A very nice, cozy café in the old town. It's a great place to linger and has a lovely selection. The service is very friendly and attentive. Highly recommended, and I will definitely come back.

19/07/2026: The French café in Luxeuil-les-Bains has changed hands. The new owners are very kind people. We, the former customers, need to give them time to get to know us and our habits, and be understanding, because they are doing their best, and I commend them. Therefore, I recommend this establishment to all visitors, spa-goers, and locals. The prices are reasonable, and all the food and drinks are of excellent quality. The breakfast croissants, waffles, and crepes are excellent, the ice cream is superb, and the coffee is equally good. Come and meet the new owners and their staff; they will welcome you with a smile. There's a terrace with beautiful flowers. So, I recommend this establishment to all my followers (more than 200,000 people, and that number is increasing by 10,000 people a week sometimes). Thank you all. Our town can still improve, as some told me when Laurent Seguin was appointed president of the General Council. There is still much to be done by the Mayor and his municipal council, but little by little, the bird builds its nest. It's up to our elected officials to do what is necessary for Haute-Saône, regardless of their political affiliation. Thank you. Bruno, today, Sunday, July 12th, I went to three places and couldn't get a coffee. Reason: 6:50 PM, the machine is cleaned. 7:00 PM, Le Chiquito. The machine is cleaned. At L'Orient, it was possible. Some shopkeepers in Luxeuil think they're in Paris, even though it's possible to get a coffee after 10:00 PM, but with a surcharge. The only shopkeeper who served me a coffee was at L'Orient. I want to point out that it wasn't the owners who were in their establishment. Having worked for over 20 years in restaurants and bars, I know all the staff should be re-educated.
