04/10/2026: On paper, it's still a chain restaurant, but in reality, it passes the test with flying colors. The bill is fair, the menu features classic French dishes without frills, and the staff is surprisingly human, cheerful, and efficient. The atmosphere is appealing, and—against all the grim odds for a quick lunch break—you can eat in complete relaxation, without having to shout to be heard by the person sitting next to you. Who would have thought?

24/09/2026: Refined, high-quality cuisine at a very reasonable price. What's also very important to me in a restaurant is the welcome. We were greeted by a kind, discreet, and smiling waitress. The Surf Café has an open kitchen, which allows you to see that the kitchens are clean and that the chef is also friendly. It's a pleasure to find a place where the staff are happy, as this isn't always the case. Everything was top-notch, even the bread was excellent. You can't spend a holiday in Arcachon without visiting this bar and restaurant. A great atmosphere is guaranteed!

31/08/2026: Well, friends, this is a MUST-SEE! A wonderful restaurant! A delight from appetizer to dessert. Excellent wine list. Impeccable service. Everything is excellent at Le Moulinel. Being a big dessert fan, I recommend the Paris-Brest, not forgetting the marvelous Grand Marnier soufflé. A truly memorable experience. We'll be back very soon.

13/05/2026: Chance led me to this establishment, and what a pleasant surprise! The staff is genuinely kind, and the menu offers a limited but sufficient selection, which is also proof that they work with real, high-quality ingredients. The dishes are well-prepared; kudos to the chef! In short, I thoroughly enjoyed everything from the appetizer to the dessert, and at a very reasonable price. The owner gave me some information (I travel in a campervan): there's a large parking lot located behind the church. In the future, it won't be chance that brings me to Le Marigot, but a genuine desire to go!

03/09/2026: I'm giving this restaurant 5 stars in my memory, but it's not nice to have closed permanently without warning anyone, without a notice on the door or on social media. It's rather disrespectful to the customers who came regularly. La Bastide is in mourning.

26/07/2026: We went to this restaurant as a family this evening to celebrate a birthday. After waiting over an hour for someone to take our order, and then another hour before being served, we waited almost two hours before we could even start eating. We had ordered beef tartare. Leaving aside the taste of the food, there's a lot to say. We found a hair in one of our plates. In another, we had ordered a piece of beef, but the meat served was actually veal. When we pointed this out to the waitress, we were assured it was indeed beef. After checking, it turned out to be veal. The kitchen staff then had the nerve to reply in a very inappropriate tone: "If I tell you it's beef, it's beef." A completely disrespectful response to customers who had remained polite throughout. Sometimes you need to be able to question yourself, Madam. We never attacked you; we simply pointed out that we were served the wrong dish. So we decided to return the dish and leave it at that. When we simply remarked that the service was very slow, we were told, "Yes, but it's 35 degrees Celsius in the kitchen." Yet the restaurant was practically empty. Having worked in the restaurant industry myself, I can assure you that 35 degrees Celsius in a kitchen is perfectly normal. I would even go so far as to say it's rather bearable. You might think I'm exaggerating, but unfortunately, everything I'm saying is true. A little advice for the kitchen staff: accept criticism, especially when it's given politely. Criticism isn't always an attack; it can also lead to improvement. Finally, to top it all off, we had brought our own birthday cake. Despite the appalling service, we were still charged €3 per slice of cake. Unfortunately, we left extremely disappointed. It was, by far, the worst restaurant experience I've ever had in Bordeaux. I will never go back and I absolutely do not recommend it.
