26/07/2026: We visited this café with friends a few days ago. We initially came to eat, but we were quickly put off by the rudeness and lack of respect shown by the staff and the manager, who was about as welcoming as a prison guard. So we just had a drink, where we witnessed a manager barking at her employees and staff demanding payment without thanking customers. The location is certainly nice, but there are far better places to experience Chinon if you want to truly appreciate it.

22/07/2026: The waitress who led us to the table was very nice and welcoming. However, the waiter who came to take our order afterwards was curt and looked at us suspiciously when we asked for a coffee each and a dessert tart to share. We were then required to pay immediately, which felt like they wanted to get rid of us as quickly as possible. This was despite the fact that the terrace was not full and it was just past lunchtime. Finally, the tarte tartin we ate here was delicious, but the cappuccino (small cup and for €3.90!) tasted like nothing.

18/07/2026: Very pleasant service and attentive staff, no waiting. The food offered a wide and tempting selection; we ordered two rib-eye steaks for €26, it's a shame they were so small – the photo in the comment below made them look very appealing – and they arrived medium-rare instead of rare. The pork pluma and salmon carpaccio were very good; perhaps the scallop risotto could have used a little more garnish? The wine was very good. Thank you for the evening.

18/07/2026: An excellent restaurant that I always enjoy returning to! In winter, we feast on delicious, comforting cheese-based dishes, while in summer, the lovely terrace offers fresh, seasonal dishes perfectly suited to sunny days. The menu is varied and generous, so everyone can easily find something they like. The atmosphere is warm, friendly, and family-oriented, making every meal particularly enjoyable. A real highlight deserves to be emphasized: the quality of the service. A bottle of chilled water is brought as soon as we are seated and replaced before it's even empty, the glass of wine is poured before the main course arrives (which is becoming quite rare and worth noting), and bread is offered spontaneously. These small touches demonstrate true professionalism and a team attentive to its customers (a special thank you to Karen). Thank you to the entire team for this place where we love to gather, both for the quality of the food and the consistently pleasant atmosphere.

23/04/2026: The waiter was unpleasant and aggressive towards customers (not me), because a gentleman had moved a chair. The disrespect with which the waiter treated him was completely inappropriate.

29/07/2026: Old school patisserie, delicious apple light apple strudel. Small space but a real Parisian spot.

27/07/2026: Terrible welcome, very small, unpleasant waiters. Rather dirty, hot, far too crowded for the room's capacity. We even wondered if it was legal to have so many tables in a place where you can barely move. They told us that only customers could sit down. They therefore advised leaving children outside alone in the street. Unbelievable!

17/04/2026: I came to eat at Mai Thai restaurant tonight because the reviews were promising. I ordered the dish (shrimp with pineapple) with plain rice. The sauce was just water, with canned pineapple. The shrimp were completely unseasoned, and the dish was bland and tasteless. The waitress took away my plate, which was barely touched, without asking any questions. She cleared the table and left. A very bad experience for me. I paid €14.90 for a bland, tasteless dish. I won't be back.

07/02/2026: The service was a tad slow, but the food was very refined, homemade, and the ingredients were delicious. Friendly service and reasonable prices, just steps from the collegiate church. Convenient and delicious!

04/04/2026: While the products are very good, the Caen store is rather small, making it difficult to move around when there are several customers. It's very unpleasant to be told "can I help you?" after only five seconds in the store.

10/03/2026: Absolutely beautiful chocolate creations here! I had to find one that wouldn't break in my suitcase. The wonderful employee wrapped my chocolate so it would be safe. Thank you! Incredibly reasonable prices... The sculptures would be 10x the price in the USA.

08/05/2026: Great bar! Delicious platters. I recommend the passion fruit sangria! And Hugo is a fantastic waiter; his iced teas are excellent. He deserves a raise!!

17/07/2026: Absolutely despicable on all fronts. Some people who come to the homes of vulnerable elderly people help themselves to food from cupboards, the fridge, wardrobes, etc. They have no scruples or respect whatsoever. Thank goodness for my security camera that exposed everything. STAY AWAY!

24/03/2026: This kebab restaurant is absolutely top-notch, where everything is superb: the meats, vegetables, and bread are incredibly fresh and of excellent quality (the fries and chicken are wow! 🤩), the sandwiches and platters are generously filled and beautifully presented, the welcome is incredibly warm, the atmosphere is wonderfully pleasant, the service is impeccable, and the entire restaurant is exceptionally clean. The people who run this restaurant with such dedication are incredibly lovely and highly professional. It's simply wonderful, pure bliss! 🌞 Going to this restaurant, which we highly recommend without hesitation, is to treat yourself to a truly relaxing, peaceful, and tranquil experience.
