15/09/2026: A nice place to go dancing or listen to Latin music, but I found the cocktails expensive and not very good, plus you pay an entrance fee for the themed evenings. I didn't try the food.

09/09/2026: It was a strange evening. Some friends had booked a place for a birthday, ordering pizzas and charcuterie boards in advance. Everything went fairly well, but the bar service was very inconsistent, especially considering the high prices, which warrant much friendlier service and even better quality products (a €12 cocktail served in plastic cups, etc.). The place is nice enough, though I think other spots in Montpellier offer better value for money.

29/09/2026: I ordered shrimp and calamari in sweet and sour sauce. Button mushrooms in my dish. Canned pineapple. Rubby calamari. Tiny portion of undercooked rice. Tiny spring rolls with very little filling. In short, 30 bucks for this!!! I'm furious.

06/09/2026: My husband ordered beef soup to go. Negative points: the broth was poorly packaged and leaked a little. The meat was fresh, which surprised me as I don't usually eat it. We contacted customer service to ask if the recipe allowed for raw meat, but they couldn't give us a clear answer. I'm wondering if I would recommend this dish. Positive points: the rice noodles were good and the broth was delicious!

25/09/2026: Nice nightclub. A large dance floor, a small smoking area outside. Themed parties vary. We love it and are always there… especially when they have zouk and kizomba, that's the best of the best.

06/05/2026: We booked this hotel from Sunday to Tuesday, but we fled after the first night because the conditions were so appalling. From the moment we arrived, a smell of damp and stale carpet literally hit us like a ton of bricks, not to mention the smelly sheets. Cleanliness was clearly nonexistent: visible dust, carpets that obviously hadn't been vacuumed in ages… We seriously wondered if the room was cleaned between guests. We had booked a room with a large terrace, but there was another unpleasant surprise: the glass door didn't even lock, the lock was broken. So anyone could get in, especially since the terrace was connected to others. In terms of security, it was simply unacceptable. As for the bathroom, it was probably the worst: a deplorable state for a hotel that dares to advertise itself as a 3-star hotel. The towel warmer was covered in streaks, the shower glass was coated in limescale, the grout was black, the mirror was dirty… and to top it all off, there was a dead spider on the wall as soon as we arrived. A live spider, maybe, in the countryside, but a dead one? It just proves that the hotel hadn't been cleaned. When we tried to mention it to reception, the response was astounding: the receptionist calmly explained that the hotel is old and has been undergoing renovations for 3-4 years, and that some guests don't complain. Good for them, but that in no way justifies such a lack of hygiene and professionalism. Finally, the manager is simply unreachable: no response to our messages, neither through Booking.com nor by email directly to the hotel. Customer service is nonexistent. In short, a disastrous experience, unworthy of a 3-star rating, which we absolutely do not recommend.

04/05/2026: “A trip back in time… unfortunately not the right time” ⭐☆☆☆☆ First off, kudos to the photos on Booking.com, because frankly, passing this dump off as a charming hotel is quite an achievement. The reality is far less flattering. We arrived and the first thing that hit us was the smell of damp. Not a subtle odor, no. A full-blown, unmistakable scent of a flooded cellar that permeated everything: hallways, room, linens. Speaking of linens, the sheets… how to put it… clearly recycled from a previous stay. The dust on the furniture was so thick that we felt like we were disturbing something. Breakfast was just like the rest: lukewarm coffee, stale baguette, and jam of unknown age. The owner, for his part, didn't see fit to lift a finger when we voiced our concerns. A shrug and that was that. On the security front, the lock barely held, the window didn't close properly… we slept with our wallets under our pillows. The pool was freezing cold; it was impossible to stay in it for more than 30 seconds. The only redeeming feature was the pleasant setting, but the lawn hadn't been mowed in ages, so even that was a bit of a mess. A quick call to a gardener wouldn't have cost much. In short, avoid it.

10/10/2026: The people who served us didn't speak Spanish or English, only French 😰 and I also ordered a Coke with sugar and they gave me sugar-free. Average service.

10/10/2026: FIRE THIS MANAGER! It's a disaster! Horrible and cold service in the restaurant/dining room. Luckily, the employee named Madeleine was helpful, but the manager was a nightmare, rude, and every order was a flop.

13/09/2026: We sometimes get pizzas, but this one was very disappointing; there was practically nothing on it except cheese and dough. It's expensive, and the online ordering site has changed. Even with a discount, you still have to pay the full amount by card.

11/09/2026: The pizza was good, but we ordered online and paid a €1 service fee. The pizzas weren't cut, and the delivery driver didn't get out of the car; we had to go to the car to get our pizzas.

28/08/2026: Passing through this town, I just wanted to eat some good fries. I checked the reviews for this restaurant and thought, "Oh well, let's give it a try anyway, you never know, maybe people made a mistake." Well... I'll let you admire the picture of the fries: incredibly greasy, incredibly salty, in short, absolutely disgusting. The bread is frozen. The meat, on the other hand, is fresh... well, I hope so! I'll find out in a few hours. 😅 I asked the owner if I could eat there, mentioning that I only had my water bottle. He told me no, that I had to buy something. I thought, "No big deal, I'll eat in my truck." Before leaving, I simply asked him if he had put napkins in the bag, which seems like the bare minimum. And guess his answer: "Don't you have any in your truck?" Seriously… 🤦‍♂️ When I'm ever back in this city, I'm never setting foot in that restaurant again. I'm so fed up with some businesses that only care about taking customers' money, with absolutely no service or consideration. And I sincerely hope my colleagues, who spend their days on the road, will avoid this place. There are much better options elsewhere. 😡

11/08/2026: I understand it's frozen, but the fries on the menu were soggy, the meat was still pink and almost undercooked, not great.

28/07/2026: Very clean simple chalets. Great for a stay over. Pool was nice and playground for kids.

16/04/2026: Review of the restaurant only, following an evening meal with friends on Wednesday, April 15, 2026. The welcome was warm, the staff efficient and friendly. The value for money was excellent. We have absolutely no complaints. We will gladly return as soon as possible!

06/09/2026: I ordered four-cheese pizzas, and we saw the owner rush to the supermarket to buy them and serve them to us, claiming he had made them himself. Unfortunately, he had forgotten the packaging on the counter.

02/09/2026: Friendly welcome, very clean, but the food wasn't good. I had spaghetti bolognese; the sauce was too dry and there was too much minced meat.

02/07/2026: Run away, you poor fools... I've never been treated like that in my life. I'm still reeling from the attitude of that person, if you can even call them human. The aggression was unbelievable! What's your problem? I simply wanted to drop off a package at a DHL depot, and a truck literally ran me over... because I wasn't there at the right time... Okay, but couldn't you also say things calmly and respectfully?

03/10/2026: A very bad experience. We ordered mussels with two different sauces. The dishes were served without sauce, but when we asked for confirmation, we were assured that the sauces were indeed there. So we started eating, even searching for the sauce at the bottom of the pots. Faced with the complete lack of flavor, we asked again, and the staff finally admitted their mistake: the sauces had indeed been forgotten. We had already eaten about a third of the dish. They offered to add the sauces afterward, but we refused. The mussels didn't seem fresh or of good quality at all, to the point that flies were attracted to our plates. We decided not to continue eating them. When the bill arrived, the dishes were recalculated at the price of the mussels without sauce. However, this set menu included a complimentary glass of wine. Yet, we were still charged for the glasses of wine. After we pointed this out, the cashier told us we hadn't originally ordered that meal, ignoring the fact that we received it due to their own mistake. The result: nearly €60 spent on dishes we only ate about a third of, with no real gesture of goodwill. We should have read the reviews before coming. Unfortunately, we didn't.

30/08/2026: On our way south, we've already stopped twice. Each time, the food has been excellent. The service is friendly. The owner is very kind. We'll definitely keep stopping by. If you're looking for an authentic restaurant with a family atmosphere, you've come to the right place.

26/08/2026: This is my second visit, the staff is always very welcoming. I come alone, yet it's still a very warm experience. Try the wok dishes, they're superb! The satay sauce was really good. Thank you again, I'll be back.

20/08/2026: Zero stars would be more appropriate. The waitress was shouting in Chinese to each other, the Thai wok had a horrible burnt and gassy taste—impossible to eat—and they charged us €5 for wasting it. The buffet was awful, tasteless, frozen food, and the sushi was dreadful. Avoid at all costs!

12/09/2026: A disappointing experience during our visit. The coffee was served in a visibly unwashed glass, covered in watermarks and residue—not very inviting for a chain of this caliber. The peach iced tea, meanwhile, simply didn't taste like peach at all—it was hard to know what we were actually served. The only positive aspect of the order was the cookie, which was decent. For around €10 for two people, the value for money is frankly unacceptable given what we were served. We clearly expect better from a chain like Columbus Café in terms of hygiene and product quality. I have photos, just in case...

04/09/2026: Columbus is truly the perfect place for a quick snack break! The muffins and other pastries are absolutely delicious, and there's a great selection of drinks. I especially love the matcha, which I order almost every time. ☺️ The service is always fantastic, it's a pleasure to come back!
