From the moment you step inside, you feel warmly welcomed, and the atmosphere perfectly complements the quality of the food. The chef clearly puts his heart and soul into it: each dish is flavorful, generous, and meticulously prepared from scratch. The flavors are authentic, the portions are substantial, and the value for money is simply excellent. The attentive and friendly service adds a touch of conviviality that makes the experience even more enjoyable. We left delighted and can't wait to go back! A huge thank you to the entire team for this delicious experience. We highly recommend it to all lovers of fine cuisine!

07/04/2026: A truly wonderful evening. The welcome was warm and professional. The service was also very attentive and pleasant. The leg of lamb and the truffle fondue were delicious. We look forward to returning.

31/03/2026: The restaurant is very good, the food is excellent, it's true, but the manager is absolutely terrible (and it's not the first time he's disappointed us). With a bill of over €500 for four people, we were practically thrown out because the manager needed our table for a second seating (which he hadn't announced). Thanks to the waitresses/waitresses for their kindness; you must have experienced the same thing we did that evening, to the point of being told we hadn't received our jackets quickly enough. I left feeling disgusted; it's a shame.

27/04/2026: Exceptional! I've been twice now, once during the week for the improv show and a second time on a Saturday night (90s/2000s vibe). Go without hesitation, every time you have a fantastic time and the staff are really kind and welcoming. If you're looking for a place to have a good time in Aix-les-Bains, look no further, L'Insolite is the place for you! 😁🥳

20/04/2026: A very pretty Provençal country house where the cuisine is delicate and flavorful. The bread was delicious, unfortunately served before we had a chance to try it all. We also appreciated the wine pairings. However, the value for money of the aperitifs is very poor: €100 for 3 glasses. The ambiance and decor are a tad too pretentious.

21/03/2026: Never disappointed, from the welcome to the service, perfect. The dishes are delicious, the menu is expertly crafted! The owner, José, who is also the chef, is warm and welcoming, coming to greet guests. One of my favorite (and regular) restaurants for inviting visiting friends. I recommend booking for the weekend, otherwise, too bad for you!

28/04/2026: It has a lively atmosphere, a bit loud and very local in style. The food is classic Lyonnaise, hearty and straightforward. Not fine dining at all, just an old-school city spot where you eat properly.

27/04/2026: The restaurant we were looking for when we came to Lyon. Traditional, typical, we weren't disappointed. Everything was delicious: the decor, the staff, and especially the generous portions. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal.

27/03/2026: Excellent! Although we're from Tarbes, we hadn't been back to this restaurant for at least 20 years… Very indulgent—it lives up to its name—and very pleasant! Rich and hearty dishes made with very fresh, local ingredients. A good selection of local wines, especially if you like Madiran. Delicious desserts without being too sweet. In short: go!
