24/04/2026: La Roseraie is a sure bet in Montbrison. Once again, during a family lunch, we enjoyed the quality dishes prepared by the Chef and his team. The service is excellent, and the setting is lovely! I highly recommend it, and congratulations to the whole team! 👏🏻

06/04/2026: On Easter Sunday 2026, we celebrated a baptism at La Roseraie with a table of 17 guests. It was a first for some of us, while others are regulars, but we all left delighted with the day. The event was important to me, and the staff at La Roseraie understood this perfectly. I was able to visit several times before the meal to see the assigned room, discuss the menu with the chef, and review the wine list. We were kept very well informed and supported right up to the day. And on that day, everything was perfect: lovely decorations, excellent and refined cuisine, and incredibly kind service staff. It's wonderful to see such professionalism from everyone involved. A very special thank you to the person who assisted me in preparing this event and who demonstrated remarkable attentiveness and presence throughout the meal. He will know who he is. This is without a doubt the best restaurant in the Forez region. We will be back!

The food is consistently delicious, with a special mention for the royal garbure, of course 😋, and the owners are genuinely wonderful! After the terrible storms that hit the restaurant, you bravely bounced back and reopened – well done! And congratulations on the new decor, 10/10 😉. 08/04/2026: It started badly from the moment we arrived. We got yelled at in the parking lot, and I still don't understand why, since there were plenty of spaces... Then the meal was beyond mediocre—bland and low-quality... There's not much to eat in the area, but don't even bother stopping at this place...

11/05/2026: The setting is superb, the dining room is magnificent, and the view is stunning. The food is good, we enjoyed our meal, and the menu is quite varied. However, the wine list is very limited, and the prices are rather high. I was particularly disappointed by the service, which was rather unresponsive. If we hadn't asked for our order to be taken, we would have waited a long time. The same was true for salt and pepper: we had to get their attention several times. When it came time to pay, we waited behind other customers before finally being told that this wasn't where we were supposed to pay. It's a shame not to provide the same level of service to all customers.

08/07/2025: More than €60 for 2 small pizzas and 2 "medium" ones, exorbitant considering the quality. Impossible to order while taking advantage of the so-called current offers, so we ordered without taking advantage of them. Same thickness whether we chose thin or normal dough... dough that cannot be described as pizza dough... in short, extremely disappointed, we will avoid Dominos in the future

21/04/2026: The welcome was rather cold as we hadn't booked. There was still room, though... I was a little disappointed with my choice (Milanese veal cutlet). I usually love this dish, but it was bland.

18/03/2026: Mixed reviews: The service is slow and disorganized, there's a lot of stale air circulating, and customers are getting impatient (I wasn't the only one complaining, apparently. It took 50 minutes to get our first drinks). A lack of organization and professionalism detracts from the atmosphere. The waiter seems to have lost his smile; luckily, the lady behind the grill fireplace kept hers! A special mention also goes to the other woman who served our drinks. During the meal, if they had asked us if we wanted drinks other than our aperitif, for example, we would have gladly ordered a glass of red wine. These oversights represent lost revenue for them. HOWEVER: The dishes are delicious, well-presented, a real treat! If the service matched the quality of the food, this inn would have earned 5 stars. The blue knife is the property of the author.
